Oh my goodness I know what you mean! 306 days away....thats 10 months!

No need to be rich, just careful saving and watching for discounts! I thought our trip in April was going to be our "once in a lifetime" trip. Then I got a PIN in the mail and we went back in August for a quick trip....then the bounceback offer was free dining so we booked that! lol

We're staying for 2 weeks and I do think that may be it for a little while. My kids have their school trips to Europe coming up for the next 2 years after that so that cuts into the vacation budget a bit....maybe :rotfl:

You are so right! I am going to pay a LOT more attention to the deals they have because those can be SOO helpful! I just love going so much that I could probably go 100 times in one year and still not want to go anywhere else lol :-)

I just wanted my Team August to know that reading about all of our ramblings really help me through some tough times. It's been a heck of a month, but I can always come here and laugh or commiserate! Love you guys!!! :yay:

Hi Ann! I agree. Even though we haven't become as chatty as we will be later, I love checking in on Team August!

BTW...I pray all is well with you and Victoria.pixiedust:

We had the DDP last year for the first time and I loved it; but DS is going to be 10 on this trip so we are not going to get it next year:sad2: I loved the convenience of it but at $55.59 it would just be too much money wasted. I went through some of the restaurants with DS and the CS and TS combined was nowhere near $55:sad2: The only time it made sense was at the character meals. I wish they had something in between:upsidedow

Yeah, there's no way that my family would spend $200 a day on food. Luckily the BB was free dining lol. More money for margaritas in Mexico lol.

We are heading out on 1st August for seven days. 15 of us - family reunion :) First time there for two little ones, three teenagers and an adult. Should be a fantastic time - heat and all lol :)

I'm responsible for the planning and pulling it together...so excited :)

Welcome! If ya let me know what resort your going to be at I can add you to the list!

I just went on Disneyworld.com to check out our reservations. It was reassuring to see our plans come up on the screen. This trip, it's really going to happen.:yay:
How do I make my week at Disney last as long as the year's anticipation of it?

If you figure it out, let me know!!!! :yay: It's sooo far away and I can't wait for it to get here, but then once it's here I'll wish it would never end!!!

Love you too! Even though you hate my curtains!!:lmao: They have ROOSTERS on them- and they are ADORABLE!!:rotfl2:

I dont even know for sure if Im going next year, but it'll be August again if I do. I'd like to stay deluxe this time and leave the kids at home:rolleyes1 Everything depends on what my bonus looks like:rolleyes:

Officially booked it today - wooohooo, and we are a party of 5 now because my aunt decided to come too, so now it truly is a family girls trip with my mom, daughter, aunt and cousin and it's going to be GREAT!!!! I went with 2 Little Mermaid rooms vs. a suite because my daughter was SO excited to stay in the Little Mermaid themed room - fingers crossed we'll be able to get a connecting room! So excited to count it down and join team August :dance3::yay::yay:

I booked it without the dining plan for now too. Pricing it with just seems like it is way more than what we would spend on food for our time there, but if they announce some free dining in August, that would be some extra magic there!!!

Joining the August planning crew! Haven't been to WDW since 2008 at POR. We did do an August trip to DLR in 2010 (honestly DLR is a must do IMHO). As a household with 2 teachers we are pretty much restricted to travel in the summer months. I know it will be hot - but we had many 100+ days this summer so I'm looking at that as training. :)

Dates are not yet set and neither is where we are staying. If we stay a week, it will probably not be onsite, and if there is not free dining, it will definitely be offsite. It's tough and I don't want to wait too long to book something. Looking forward to the planning process! We've missed WDW and this will be the first year all members of the family will meet all height restrictions. Space Mountain, here I come!

We also went in Jan for dgd's 1st trip and thought we would go again in a few yrs. we went back in Sept for MNSSHP and booked BB for next Aug :rotfl2:

Disney is very addictive and with the deals and budgeting we were able to do this. We cut out some of our weekend trips, don't eat out as often etc. We also know some trips we will stay moderate or more nights and others we will stay value or less nights. I love free dining and reward points!

SIGMUND FREUD FRIDAYS!!!:crazy2:

And THEN, they want me to ALSO roast the pumpkin seeds for them?!!?:rolleyes1 My kids- can't live WITH 'EM, can't SELL'EM!!

Oh I know exactly what your taking about! Mine are teens and still do the same thing. This year though I manage to talk them into the push in decorations so no carving. And no darn roasting! I used to roast the seeds with different flavorings etc...and they would only eat a little bit and no more. I swear I could've thrown kids, pumpkins and seeds all out the window! Lol

Well, I'm one of those Moms who love to carve pumpkins, but no one in my house wants to with me. It's a sad, sad Halloween......

Ok fine, it's not sad, but Victoria NEVER wanted to carve pumpkins, so I usually don't bother, but I do have my "graveyard" decorations up on the front lawn!!

Mine are 14 and 22!!! The creeps!

Ann- Sorry I spelled your name wrong in my prior post:rolleyes1

Don't worry about spelling my name wrong....happens all the time! The people who owe child support that I collect from call me worse names.....believe me...

Now, are your curtains as cute as MY rooster???

SO funny, I was just bashing to my BFF about her deadbeat ex!!:rotfl2: As for the rooster, my curtains do NOT compare to that cuteness!!
