Anyone going in early June and notice that there's no times for Fantasmic listed? Is that normal?

Just told DD3! No fantastic YouTube worthy reaction but she's very excited. And now I don't have to talk in code and keep secrets! One week from tomorrow we will be there!

T-Minus 20.... it just got real.... not much time to do all which needs doing...

The closer we get to our trip....the more that goes wrong lol!
First electrical issues, which thankfully turned out to be an easy fix thanks to my Dad.
Now plumbing issues! Waiting for someone to come snake our line....let's hope that is all it takes! My house is trying to ruin my Disney trip :rotfl2:

That just stinks sometimes being a homeowner is a PITA. I hope it's a quick fix.

Hi Guys...we just got out Grad Night info sheet for my son, so wanted to share some information.

They get to hop until 10 pm when their party starts, this might vary depending on the school as individual schools might want them to check in and move to DCA earlier than that.

ALL of the Seniors are getting 2 FASTPASSES each. It doesn't specify that these are only for DCA, I'm thinking they WON'T be using FP during the party.

I know some of us are going during Grad nights, we are going to be there June 9-15, so DS is going twice in a few weeks : ) I just wanted to share that info.

Hello strangers!

My sincere apologies for disappearing off the face of the earth. I have had a ton going on - lots of personal and work issues.

I can't believe how close our trip is and I'm totally stressing out. Why does transportation to DL have to be so stressful?!!!

I've got to find a way to get from my hotel to the airport on Saturday to pick up my rental car and my family. I stupidly booked the rental car in my name instead of hubby's name and they won't let me change it. :furious: Canceling and rebooking will result in an extremely expensive rate.

I know we shouldn't exactly need a car, but I feel like my almost 3 year old will be exhausted after a long day in the park and the last thing he'll want to do is walk to dinner.

Am I over thinking all of this?

I've been looking at the Disneyland Express, ART, Super Shuttle, etc.

UGH

But how is everyone else doing?? Are we excited?

How frustrating! We are about 40 days out! We upped our trip due to the baseball my DH wanted to see, so we are leaving the day after the last day of school for the year. So double excitement!

Transportation is always the hardest to figure out for me! We are not renting a car....we can do the walk (even if we don't want to haha) It's getting to and from the airport that's hard for me. I don't want to bring a car seat, so that really only leaves the Magical Express....but I'm not a huge fan. Guess I'll suck it up and deal with it!

I know, we're struggling with the car seat issue too. Because DH is coming out by himself with the kids he doesn't have the hands to bring the car seat with him. I can't take it with me because I'll have all their luggage. Paying for the Magical Express and the ART are going to cost close to a rental car with the convienence of being on our schedule. It's at this point I'm starting to wish we had just chosen DisneyWorld. lol

We done DL many times with our now 3 year old and this is the first time we are flying into SNA rather than LAX !!

We have done the magical express every time from LAX to our good neighbor hotel but this time I really don’t want to use the magical express cause it usually takes 2-3 hours from the time we start standing on the curb at the airport til we get to our hotel.

I know this time we are flying into SNA which is different to LAX and we are staying at the DLH which means we are the first stop BUT I am still debating on whether or not to take our car seat so we can get a cab….i don’t want to waste time.

Flying out of SNA to Seattle our flight leaves at 10:15am – I know SNA is a smaller airport – do we need to be there 2 hours before the flight? Another reason I would like to take a cab rather than the Disney bus – we could leave the hotel at 8:30am instead of on the bus at 8am!
I heard its really about 15 mins from DLH to SNA with moderate traffic

I do fly in and out of SNA on a regular basis for work and you don't need to arrive way in advance. I typically get there about an hour ahead of my scheduled flight time.

I'm almost starting to think just paying for the rental car will be worth it so I don't have to stress over this and be done with it.
:worried:

Good to know this! I was curious how far in advance we needed to be there.

When do grad nights start? Hoping it is after we are there.

They Start like May 15 I think...they are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights...we will be there 6/9-6/15 and there are Grad nights on 3 of those nights.

Ok, I think I just solved my transportion problems and woes.

I made a reservation with National (my preferred vendor) to pick up a rental car at the Anaheim location next to DL in the afternoon. With a car seat in the rental, this is cheaper than picking up at the airport and I can still drop off at the airport at the end of our trip. Then we don't have to depend on the shuttle to and from the airport taking forever. Plus it works out to about the same fee wise if we were to pay for all the shuttle fees.

We'll use ART to get to the resort when needed and the car for going to dinner when we're too tired to walk.

I feel much more relaxed about this now.

So glad you've got it worked out!

Good to hear you figured it out! I'm still debating....sigh!
Hubby will really really worry if we don't get to the airport early -- he says I never leave enough time if things go sideways!
