Please add us to the thread!!:cool1: We will be going 6/3-6/8 and staying at PPH. We will spend 4 days in DLR and 1 day on a Grayline bus trip to Legoland. Has anyone had any experience with this tour? We (myself and DD6) will be celebrating our first Mother/Daughter trip....woohoo!! We will join my sister and her family for the first couple days of the trip. We are super excited about seeing the Monsters University hoopla! Crossing fingers for a new Summer Promo!!!

We done DL many times with our now 3 year old and this is the first time we are flying into SNA rather than LAX !!

We have done the magical express every time from LAX to our good neighbor hotel but this time I really don’t want to use the magical express cause it usually takes 2-3 hours from the time we start standing on the curb at the airport til we get to our hotel.

I know this time we are flying into SNA which is different to LAX and we are staying at the DLH which means we are the first stop BUT I am still debating on whether or not to take our car seat so we can get a cab….i don’t want to waste time.

Flying out of SNA to Seattle our flight leaves at 10:15am – I know SNA is a smaller airport – do we need to be there 2 hours before the flight? Another reason I would like to take a cab rather than the Disney bus – we could leave the hotel at 8:30am instead of on the bus at 8am!
I heard its really about 15 mins from DLH to SNA with moderate traffic

I flew into LAX once... never again. SNA is so easy, and so much faster. I honestly don't bother booking anything for transportation ahead of time, I just trek on out there and whatever is ready to go, I hop on it. All the shuttles are about the same price anyway. I end up on Super Shuttle more often than not, and unlike LAX, I am usually the only person in the van and they don't wait or drive around looking to fill up before they take off. Cabs are about $40 one way without tip, so if you have more than two people that might be cheapest anyway. And yes, it has never ever taken me longer than 25 minutes SNA to DLH, and that was with an accident on the freeway. Usually its 15. I also usually plan to arrive at SNA about an hour before my flight home, but I just got an email from my airline for a whole different trip saying they have changed their check in time to 45 minutes before flight minimum because of the whatever with the sequester and the FAA and such, so you may check into that just in case. Hope that helps!

Is anyone planning on adding in a beach visit to their trip? I'm now thinking we should do this. I hate to take the kids so close to the beach and not let them see the ocean.

My DD has been to the beach in San Diego before, but my DS hasn't been yet. He would love it. Just have to decide which one to go to.

Yes, after DL, we are taking Amtrak down to San Diego. DD14 definitely wanted to see the ocean. We are staying near Mission Beach. I don't know anything about beaches near Anaheim though.

I am going to print out the coupon for the bus just in case we end up taking it but I would be nice to get a cab instead. I dont' know if they will take us with a 3 year old with no car seat!
We took several quick trip cabs without a car seat when we were in Orlando last month and it was so nice to have direct service rather than a shuttle.

We got all of our travel documents in the mail today!
I have a question though, we booked our package through Disney, and the last two times we've received a little booklet of things that included priority seating to Aladdin, the drawing studio, ect, and this year we didn't get anything like that. Did they discontinue it? We were really hoping to get that again!

Count me in! My wife and I will be at Disneyland on May 17th and 18th to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary!

Flying into LAX on Thursday afternoon and staying three nights in the Anaheim Plaza.

Yes, I have been told that they discontinued that offering. Congrats on receiving your goodies!!:cool1:

Well after two straight days of snow here in Edmonton, I can safely say this weekend cannot come soon enough! I need to feel some true "spring" weather at some point this year! What better place to warm up than Disneyland?!

Travel docs arrived today! :cool1:

Ordered PhotoPass at the end of last week...we are 20 days out!!! (Can that be possible?) :woohoo:

We are going to try Newport, Huntington and Little Corona Del Mar Beaches since they are the closest and I found some good reviews.

We are thinking about going to a beach on one of our two non park days. We are talking about going to either Huntington or Newport Beach, however I would love to drive up the coast and go to San Diego, but I would have to convince DH on that idea. We are not renting a car when we officially get there, but if we do decide to go to the beach one day, we will just rent the car for the one day that we will need it, possibly two depending on if we want to do anything else that is off property.

If you go to Huntington Beach, make sure you go to Rubys diner! My kids loved it, and we have beautiful pics there at sunset!

I'm so excited. Confirmed today that my mom and I will be enjoying DL May 13th-17th. We will be staying at the Fairfield Inn. I'm excited because my mom will be 75 on the 13th and its just the two of us, no kids, no hubby. Just me and my mom. I can't wait!

Thank you! I was very worried about this happening. Glad it's unlikely.

And get their garlic fries (if you like garlic) they are sooo good.
I heard they opened a Ruby's at SNA....Can't wait to get me some french fries :rotfl2:

I LOVE garlic , it must be the Italian in me :goodvibes. We are flying into SNA so if we don't get a chance to go to Huntington Beach, then I know I can find it there (we were planning on having lunch at the airport when we fly out anyways).
