Two things

1) In the projected park hours there are refurbishments listed. Are those accurate, as I am heading in May and see that Star Tours and Splash mountain are listed as down for the month.

The refurbishments are generally accurate as they are published from the point at which they are closing, while hours are not published until 6 weeks ahead of time.

2) Not being too picky but you have me listed as June when I am going in May.

Love the thread and the enthusiasm.

I fixed ya! :)

Hi :) Would you mind letting me know where that refurb list is? We are going in May, but I haven't found those rides listed yet. That's bad news!! Especially when BTMRR is already down!

Thanks for your help! :)

Wooo Hooo My Passporter book has FINALLY arrived!!!! I ordered this on 12/28 and it seem like it's taken F-O-R-E-V-E-R! And now I have to wait until 9pm to open so the kids don't see it.

What size unit? We are in a 1BR. Maybe you will get our room! Are you aware you can request specific room numbers? I think that helps get a good location/view.

Big Thunder BBQ is the one place my husband feels he gets his money's worth because it's good all you can eat chicken and ribs. I'm sure we will eat there again this trip. It's good to try Blue Bayou once and form your own opinion. We want to love it, maybe now that our kids are older we'll enjoy it more the next time we go.

We will be in a Studio, that would of been funny if we got your room though :lmao:. I have heard that you can request specific room numbers however I didn't, instead I requested theme park view with high floor. I would like to request a specific room number but I am not sure which rooms are for which villas. Just out of curiosity, did you request a room number, if so which one and what kind of view? If they have Studios in that general area, I may just have to call and request one of those.

I am so glad that your DH feels the way that he does about Big Thunder BBQ because that is one of the restaurants that I am most looking forward to (Napa Rose being the other one) :goodvibes. As for Blue Bayou, I agree with you...yes I like to read the reviews, whether they are good or bad, on the different restaurants however I like to go and form my own opinion on them. What one person likes another one may not like, and vice versa....I've seen it too many times for different WDW restaurants.

The prices have gone way up since our last trip there. I hope they don't continue to increase or else we will have to find a new favorite hotel!

SERIOUSLY!!! :( I remember when we all stayed there for our 2nd trip and we paid about 400 for the whole 5 night stay!! I can't even ever get a ressie for the kids suite let alone a deal!!

Thank you :) I may be misunderstanding. It looks like Splash is just down for a time in Jan/Feb and Star Tours only has reduced capacity in Feb. That's a relief ~ I was worried they were scheduled for refurb in May and I was just not seeing the info. Yay! :yay:

I hope everyone has a wonderful trip! We are very excited to be back at DLR!! :goodvibes We'll be at the DLH from 5/5-5/10, after a short stop in Vegas for a work conference for DH. It's coming up soon!

Holy crap! I almost totally forgot that I had booked a 2nd room at the HoJo on the off chance that my parents end up coming. It just hit me that I needed to call and get the 25% applied to their reservation.

But learned something - The HoJo Anaheim reservations are only there M-F 9-5, but the central reservations through Wyndham are open 24/7 and they were able to apply the discount! (And much friendlier than the HoJo peeps if you ask me.) :)

Yeah - The only thing I see down long term is the Big Mountain Thunder Railroad. This list appears to be directly from Disney and could certainly change, but it appears to be the most accurate.

I called last night (Aus time) which was 1am Anaheim time. I was put through to central reservations (not in-house) and was told that the 25% was not available for the Kids Suite. I pointed out that I checked another date (which had availability) and the Kids Suite did have 25% off. They told me I needed to call the hotel directly during business hours to apply the discount.

I did call them directly this morning. One thing to be aware of with this deal is that the 25% is off the room rate now, not the room rate from when you booked. I booked back in June and the rate was less.

I must sat that their customer service was wonderful.

Good to know so people can be sure they are actually getting a good deal! I'm pretty darn happy with the rate I got, a higher discount would be better but if one doesn't come along I'm totally satisfied.

We're finally booked!

Me, DD, Grandma, Papa, my BFF and her DD (who is my DD's BFF).

16 - 23 May at the HoJo.

Yep that 25 % did it - we are now booked for a Hojo Disney-view room for our May-June stay (just in case we want to watch the fireworks from our balcony!)
And the boys do still love the pirate pool, even though they secretly know they are getting too old for it!

Thanks for this information. It says the Star Tours ride will have reduced capacity for Feb 26 to 28 and Splash Mountain will be down for a period in February. What I am wondering is why in the park hours projection link, there are also comments about Star Tours, Splash Mountain and Go Gadegt Coaster being down throughout the month of May. This information I am looking at is in the link regarding park hours in your first post. I don't believe you are responsible for the content, just trying to find out if this is accurate.

Well just so you know, the link I posted on the first page is from WDWinfo (the owner of these boards) and is "unofficial". When I went to do more research I found the pdf document above and as far as I could tell when looking at the source it appears to have come directly from Disney.

However, I can tell you no matter what information you look at, it is all subject to change and nothing is set in stone until that specific day. Rides could open early or refurbs could go longer than planned. Rides that are scheduled to be down will still go down during the day unexpectedly. They are machines. It happens.

Ok. Booked flights. We'll be in Cali for 10 nights. Our DL dates are 5/30 - 6/4 at Sheraton Park.
