I have a question. We are thinking of flying home on the 17th since the 16th is Father's Day, and airfare is sky high coming home. Is the water warm enough to get in at the beaches? I thought we could throw in a beach day. I would love to spend a third day in CA, but couldn't stand to buy a whole new ticket for one day. We could also just about make a day out of downtown disney.

We saw people in the water in Dec when it was cold and rainy out
The outside temps should be nice in June, water will probably still seem cold but young kids might not mind...
Laguna is a fun little town to walk around and the beach is nice even if you don't get in the water. Or you could spend the day in downtown disney (be prepared to shop thought :goodvibes), see a movie at the DDD theatre, or I think there is a bowling ally at the GardenWalk?

WOO HOO, 100 days until we leave :rotfl:

And just did taxes and we are getting back much more then we thought, which will make this vacation even better :cool1:

I'm staying at the Carousel Inn May 3 through 7 then GCH May 7 through 12th. Should be in or near the parks every day (except hopefully the 4th)

Well we bit the bullet and bought our airfare for our trip in June. Let me just say...."Holy Cow", airfare is really expensive coming from the Midwest :scared1:. I am used to buying airfare that is less then $100 per way when we go to Florida. However, we did get the cheaper flights into Orange County Airport, I was willing to spend a bit more just to be closer to Disneyland rather then flying into LAX and then dealing with the LA Freeway system. DH and I were talking and instead of going through a car transfer company, we will just get a taxi from the airport to our resort.

Also, it is set in stone, we are leaving a day earlier then planned :cool1: but we are not staying at the HoJo. Instead of having to deal with a taxi to get us to VGC (I was told it would be a lot easier and safer to get a taxi rather then walking over with our bags and then having to deal with Disney security going through them all before heading to our resort) DH and I decided that we wanted to be on Disney property. So I am going to book a one night stay at DHL and then let Disney transfer our bags to VGC after we check out. I am getting so excited....even though my ticker says 4 months and 1 day before we leave, in actuality, we leave exactly 4 months from today :woohoo::yay::banana::cheer2:.

If you need to book a flight, check out Southwest. I just booked our flight from DEN to SNA for $89 per person/each way!

I was all excited about this and went in and checked, but it is much higher than that for our dates and is the same cost as when we booked it before. Oh well--I tried!

I booked our flights today. Southwest is having a good deal. We are getting really excited now. Thanks to those of you who gave me advice on booking flights.

Doing this a little backwards...we have the flight home booked, but still trying to decide on whether to go down a day early to take advantage of the SWA sale or wait for a ding fare for the Sunday.

My planning is starting to pick up now :cool1:. Last night I pre-purchased the Photopass + package and I am waiting on my Rewards card from Disney so I can put those points towards our DHL stay. Once that comes (should be any day now), I will be booking our 1 night stay :goodvibes. I am also checking out all the different dining menus for both Table Service and Quick service restaurants. Before I know it, it will be April and I will finally be able to make my Dining Reservations :cool1:.

Woo hoo! Our first trip to DL (about 2 years ago) we only had about 3 pics taken by the photopass photographers, and I didn't purcahse them since they were so expensive. This trip I'm going to do the Photopass+ package and make sure to get a good number of photos taken. We only ended up with 1 family photo the whole trip last time, I'm determined to be in the photos on this trip!!!

Hi Everybody!! We are taking our first trip to DL this June.

We will be there 6/15-6/22. Staying at the Dolphins Cove... big two family trip!!

kiddos include: 4 boys, 1,1,5,8 and 2 girls 2,8.

Very excited to learn everything i can about DL. We have been to WDW several times and are very eager to see what DLR has in store!!

Last weekend, I bought the princess dresses for our 2 girls for when we take them to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! I already stocked up on glow necklaces & glow bracelets from the Dollar Tree store & Crystal Light packets at Walmart. May can't get here soon enough!!

The current SWA sale ends today.

And you all can book those legs you are still waiting on. Southwest will transfer your ticket to the reduced rate if you see a better sale come up in the future.

I booked airfare 2 days ago on Southwest Airlines. I got us tickets for 61 dollars each way from Denver to Las Vegas. Flying in and Out on Saturday. It was 365.xx for the 3 of us!!!! This trip seems so much more real now. I bought the boys suitcases/rolling duffle bags they picked out at Ross yesterday. I've been buying new clothes and swimwear and putting it away for the trip also! I'm debating buying our park hoppers at King Soopers???

I was thinking about buying at Kings too. Since there are no great discounts out there, might as well get some fuel points!

We are near Park Meadows, so I was thinking about buying them at the Disney Store there. Since I'll use the Disney Visa, it would count as the bonus rewards since it is a Disney purchase. However, it might be worth the fuel points to do it at Kings. Are the ones at Kings the nice plastic card? That's why I want to buy them at the Disney Store--so I don't have to deal with a voucher and then the paper ticket that you get at the parks.

I've never looked at the hoppers at King Soopers to know.

I think they are plastic cards but I haven't paid enough attention to be sure. I'll check when I go shopping this weekend.

I'm not too far from Park Meadows either, so hi neighbor :wave2:

I didn't know there was a Disney store down there? Now I think I might have to drive down tonight? Or maybe this weekend. The cards are plastic I took a picture of them on my iphone. I'd post a pic if I knew how? They are 250 for an adult 3 day hopper and 235 for child they have cars themes on them. I could text it?:confused3

Okay, now I have a silly question. So you buy the gift cards and then do you have to trade them at the gate or how does that work? If so can I take them on monday night and do that so we don't have to wait in line on tuesday before our magic morning?
