Right now we have AKL booked for our Sept trip, but 415 a night is very expensive for a hotel room we won't be in much....soooo...now I'm trying to decide between POFQ or POR or just going back to CBR. If we can get enough money saved then we'll stick with AKL (it looks amazing!)

That's where we will be. If you stick with it we might see you there!

My fiancé and I are disneymooning on September 23-30th 2014. At POP. Both of us have never been. So excited.

We just got a PIN for a bunch of dates in 2014 so I jumped on 35% off and booked us into the poly for the 20th to 28th! SO excited! Now I just have to twiddle my thumbs for 276 days. It makes me miss the days when I hadn't already been a jillion times so I could entertain myself watching the DVD and compulsively planning but by now I know exactly what I want to do so I just wait.......

Maybe I can squeeze in a quickie trip before September? It's worth the drive from Canada lol.

Already booked!!! Planning is ongoing...........I have several theories about planning a WDW trip, I'll throw one out here and see how you all feel about it.

No matter how long you stay the most important plans are for ARRIVAL day and DEPARTURE day. They set the tone for the trip on arrival and how you feel as you leave. Now many might say do the Magic Kindom on departure.....since my sweetie and I are older......that isn't always the best plan.

In our plan for September, we're looking to schedule the FANTASMIC Dinner Package at HS for arrival day..........and AK for departure day. Our plan doesn't include a full day at HS so this is our oppurtunity to eat at the park and see a very cool (so I've been told) fireworks display. From our perspective AK is a half day given what we want to experience......also we're at Epcot on the previous day and AK is much more low key.

What do you think?

Doug

My family has done AK on departure day a few times and it works for us. MK is our favorite park so we usually dedicate an entire day there (if not two) rather than a half day. Sounds like you've got a good plan to me!

On our last trip we did Epcot on departure day which was a later departure being the ME didn't pick us up until about 2. The only issue we had was the bus from Epcot to AoA took forever.

So we've been home for exactly one month today and I am feeling the Disney blues, especially with all the freezing rain we received over the weekend. Since we came home I've been trying to convince my DH that we should do a trip to Disney, adults only, for our 10 year wedding anniversary coming up on Oct 2, 2014 however he has not been very agreeable to this. He wants us to go to the Caribbean or Cuba or somewhere like that however I am not really a beach person or hot weather person but for him and our anniversary I was willing to do it and wait till 2015 for Disney. I was watching and researching a resort in Cancun last night and discussing it with my DH when he says to me, "Being its our anniversary and I know how much Disney means to you, how about we do Disney." All I could do was stare at him speechless and keep asking him if it was a joke, even today I'm asking that. lol. Nope not a joke and trip has been booked. I am sooooooooooooo happy. So we will be going Sept 28-Oct 4, 2014. We will be celebrating our actual anniversary day there as well. Our anniversary is on Oct 2nd. I have the best husband in the world.

I'm just so confused:worried: I dont' know what to do. I keep going back and forth between resorts and it's getting very frustrating. Let me refresh: we were just at CSR last month and got a BB offer for FD in Sept 2014 sooooo I booked AKL before we left Florida ( I did it after checking out and right before the train left..lol) and that happened because I didn't see a BB in the room....it was in the Be Our Guest guide book ( I didn't know this until we were on the train and I happened to run across this info on FB and low and behold my dd had put the book in her backpack :)) I keep going back and forth between AKL, CSR (again), CBR (we were there in 2011) and POR or FQ:confused: I keep going back to how the buses run ( we NEVER had an issue with CSR or CBR (always got preferred room and that usually mean't first pick up) and how far of a bus ride it is. I know AKL is out there (far from parks), but my dd loves Zebra's and I keep going back to the 415 a night:eek:
I've heard horror stories about POR buses and how usually it's standing room only by the time buses get there (and I don't want to stand on a bus to go to a park...coming home from parks is understandable ...I guess). We loved CBR and CSR and the size of the resort doesn't matter to us because we're not going to walk around it all the time and we usually get closer to food and the main pool. Any suggestions?

Oh and we are also doing MNSSHP again...my dd (who just turned 7 years old yesterday) loved it 2 years ago

Hello. We have had our condo booked for a while now, and our tickets purchased since august I believe, but I haven't done any planning really because life got in the way. BUT it's almost 2014 which means my trip is closer!

It will be our first family trip with my husband and our three year old son (he will be four when we travel). It will be a late birthday trip for my son as he turns 4 about two weeks before we leave.

We are going from September 24th - October 1st and are staying at WBC. We decided offsite was best for us because I like having the room as well as a washer/dryer/kitchen. And the price was right! We decided against the dining plan b/c as much fun as it looks I know we don't eat enough to make it worth it.

So that's all I know so far, but I'm excited and I can't wait to get the planning started! I do need to find out how to trade our actual tickets for magic band ones - that's a start.
