“IF THIS IS A DREAM, I DON’T WANT TO WAKE UP!” – POP! Goes The Solo Trip **THE END**

Oh my word, I was hyperventilating just reading about your wallet fiasco! I can not imagine the panic you must have been feeling, especially on a solo trip! So glad you got it back and everything with it. :thumbsup2 Good Disney people to the rescue! pixiedust:
All that aside, I really love Dinosaur! I especially love the reactions of the other guests, especially when we get a real screamer on the ride. :lmao:

I was going out of my mind Wendy. I didn't know whether to cancel my credit cards or what to do. It was awful. But mostly I just didn't want to have to deal with it and lose Disney time. That was my biggest issue. ;)

Absolutely good Disney people!! Is it any wonder why we all love this place so much? It is indeed where the magic lives.

I agree. A big part of why I love ride photos is to see how everyone else reacts. Often it's priceless.

OMG ROB. I feel like a celebrity over here with the shout out in the TR AND everything with the special Dinosaur shoutout! Hahahaha. Seriously though, I am STILL thinking that was the coolest thing, and super nice of you, obviously. You know how much I love that Carnotaurus! :rotfl:

BUT OMG, I can't believe the wallet story! I seriously was over here feeling sick for you because there is NOTHING worse than having that panic set in when you realize EVERYTHING is missing. :( I'm SO glad it had a happy ending though, and that you got your wallet back! That's Disney for you, I swear.

I'm so sorry I've fallen behind on your TRs; life has been so busy lately! I'm trying to catch up on everyone's now, but as soon as you mentioned this update in your comment on my TR, I HAD to come over! It's still the best thing anyone's ever done for me while on a trip in Disney World! :goodvibes

All caught up and loving your TR!! I have to echo everyone else when I say OMG!! over losing your wallet. :scared1: Feeling sick wouldn't even come close to describing how I would have felt ... and to be there all alone, I can't even imagine that. I'm so happy whoever found it was an honest person and did the right thing by turning it in. Mega-pixie-dust for sure! pixiedust:

Looking forward to the next installment! :goodvibes

Ah yes, Primeval Hurl......at least that's what I'm always afraid of with other people in the car.....:lmao:

Okay the girl all the way in the front seat of your car on Dinosaur literally made me crack up! She's all like "oh hey, PICTURE! I GOTTA LOOK PRETTY!" :rotfl:

Okay, here I am reading your story about your wallet and feeling really bad for you, and then I am peeing my pants laughing so hard at that cat gif. :lmao:

I'm glad you got your wallet back! I also would have been freaked out if I lost something that important.

Well Dani, that's because you ARE a celebrity up in here, up in here. It was the absolute least I could do. And see that, I was so excited that I lost my wallet in the process.
If there's one thing I've learned in the very short time I'm been a DISer, it's that people support each other. This was just a little support in your time of hysterical terrified-ness.

Worst... Feeling... EVER... But once I got it back I just kept thinking... OOH, what a cool TR story. :rotfl2:

Oh God don't worry about that. People have lives (well not me but most people, lol. I tend to do a lot of catching up while at work actually :rolleyes1 )
And you're here now and you'll catch up when you catch up.

And, thank you so much for saying that. I'm sure many others will now take up the challenge. That you enjoyed it makes it all worthwhile. :goodvibes

Hi Carol! It was a rough period no doubt. But to have it turn out well made for a great story and Mega Pixie Dust moment. It certainly could have been SO much worse.

Yay, there will be another one soon!

"Priveval Hurl", why did I not think of that!!?? D'oh!!! Thankfully on this trip I was alone in the vehicle. :thumbsup2

Bahaha, I know right!!?? That one cracked me up too. OMG, smiling and everything. "Yes, I know there's a giant Dinosaur right there, but..." I so love ride photos.

Gawd that cat gif cracks me too. It was just perfect for what I probably looked like at that exact moment. Part of me wonders how funny it would have been to say "And the wallet never turned up so that's the end of this Trip Report... Thanks for reading!" :rotfl2:

Thanks Danielle, me too. If I had only lost one item I would have been upset. But EVERTHING was pretty devastating. But it all worked out.

Day 2 – April 28, 2013 Part 3

Hello Friends! :wave2:

I just want to take a moment to thank you all SO VERY MUCH for reading, and especially commenting on, this little TR.
It means the world to me and I really can't thank you enough. :grouphug:

Since I had to upgrade my photobucket account anyway, I thought I would share the video from the Fantasmic! Finale.
Please note that I had to compress it significantly so it wouldn't take forever to upload (then photobucket compressed some more), so the quality is MUCH lower than the original.

I just hope the video displays even just a tiny bit of the happiness, excitement, and utter joy I experienced on this night in April.
Some may find the yelling and squealing annoying, but I am not one of those people.
I loved it and I hope you will too. :goodvibes

For all the people who say that Animal Kingdom doesn’t offer much, I say poo poo.

My guess is your just not doing everything.

Case in point… I had never seen “Finding Nemo – The Musical.”

That was about to change.

WOW, this is just a wonderful show and I really enjoyed it.

The performers were top notch and I will definitely make time to see this again on a future trip.

Plus… BUBBLES!!!

Day 2 – April 28, 2013 Part 3 Cont.

Upon leaving the theatre, it was now into the afternoon and I had yet to set foot in Africa.

So, I decided to set foot in Africa, grab a Kilimanjaro Fastpass, and then stroll into here.

69.jpg

I love the walking trails in AK, but this was not the best experience, as there was virtually nothing moving, other than a brief glimpse of the gorillas.

70.jpg

71.jpg

“You humans are supposed to be the more evolved species, and yet you dummies are out walking around in the heat while I’m just sitting here chillin’.
Morons!!”

This made me pretty concerned about my prospects on the Safari as it was hot, and animals tend to do very little when it’s hot,

Unlike us stupid humans out walking around looking at animals in the blazing sun.

But first (Julie Chen), I needed nourishment, and since my plans at Pizza Planet the previous day were thwarted by crowds, I went here.

72.jpg

And got this.

73.jpg

It was good.

Honestly, have you ever heard a better dining review in your life?

I can hear it now,

“We HAVE to eat at Pizzafari… Rob on the DIS said it was “good”.”

You’re welcome!
If you didn’t want one before, I bet you do now, don’t you?

I even had some entertainment as a girl at a nearby table spilled her entire beverage over the table, as well as over her friends/family.

There is just nothing better than dinner and a show. Thank you random family!

Once finished I still had a little time to kill, so I killed it by watching an African dance party.

74.jpg

75.jpg

76.jpg

77.jpg

This was actually very cool.
I love African music and the musicians (and volunteers) had a LOT of energy.

It's these little random experiences that make Disney so much better than everyone else.

Then it was Safari time.

I was not feeling confident when I saw this (no he’s not dead… Um… I’m pretty sure…)

78.jpg

Though with these guys everywhere, I was getting very concerned…

79.jpg

This is about the most I’ve ever seen from these guys…
Fun fact... Still photos and full motion video both look exactly the same.

80.jpg

But then my beloved giraffes came to my rescue, using his tongue to get at that branch which drew cheers from the vehicle.

81.jpg

And then topped by some very active Elephants looking to cool off.

87.jpg

BIG Hidden Mickey (though I could never get the angle to show it but the island is a hidden Mickey)…

88.jpg

I was SO excited to get this MUCH better shot of the cheetah than on my October trip.
Granted he’s not doing much, but at least he was out in the open, which for me has never happened.

89.jpg

For all new readers, here is the photo from October.

See, the cheetah’s wayyyyyy in the back, but it was actually my best cheetah photo up to that point.

12a.jpg

(For any previous readers, I apologize for reusing an old joke, but recycling is important.)

We finished off our tour with not 1, not 4, but 3 lions…

As it turned out, not a bad Safari after all.

TO BE CONTINUED…

You know why they were out that afternoon???

It's those Magic Disney cooling rocks... notice they are mostly on rocks and in water... Magic... ;) Really... they cool the rocks... keeps the animals out longer. They can heat them too in the winter...

They have better heating than I do!

Rob, I can't thank you enough! I've been debating what to do when I first arrive in September - and now, I consider it a done deal: RUSH to Pizzafari and get pizza! After all, with your detailed, impeccable dining review, I'd be foolish not to! ;)

I've never seen Finding Nemo! My trip in September will be a solo one for me as well and it's a little longer than my usual trips so I'm hoping to cram in LOTS of things that I've rarely (or never) taken the time to do. Your pictures from the show are amazing!!!

Your video from the Fantasmic! finale was also amazing (and the yelling and cheering only makes it that much more so!) - though I have to admit I only watched a little of it, as I have to leave for work in little bit and I was tearing up at the amazing-ness of it all! I'll watch it tonight! :cloud9:

Haha, I had actually heard about that Michelle. Thanks for the reminder. :thumbsup2 Disney really does think of everything, don't they.

Bahahaha, OMG that made me laugh. Yes, I am nothing if not an amazing dining connoisseur! :lmao:

It's definitely worth seeing Tracy. I really enjoyed it. A solo trip is a perfect time for it too! :thumbsup2
That was my mindset as well. See and do stuff you've never done.

Thank you, I completely agree. I've been watching it over and over since I've been home. I just loved it so much!

Awesome update! :)

Thanks very much! :goodvibes

Ya know, I've never seen the Nemo show at AK either. Your pics are awesome. I do believe I'll have to make that a priority this next trip! Along with Lion King - it's been too long since I've seen that show.

I must agree with your in-depth dining review. Pizzafarri pizza most definitely is good. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Ahh what an awesome safari you had! I have yet to see lions awake but...one day! As long as I see some giraffes, I'm good.

I just found your TR and I'm loving it! Great job!!

Oh Yay!!

Thank you so very much and I am so very happy to :welcome: you!

Thank you Mary! I wanted to make sure to be close to the front for my first time.

Haha, thank you! I wanted to be as detailed as I could on that one.

It was definitely a nice surprise Jennifer. That time of day is usually not good. I was pretty excited for 3 lions.
And yes, you're exactly like me. I love me some giraffes. Without a doubt my favourite animal besides dolphins.

I remember seeing Finding Nemo the Musical the first time when I believe they were still in the first weeks of opening. I loved it so much that I bought the soundtrack immediately. And it is still on my iPod and I rock out to it all the time. :thumbsup2

Yay for dinner and a show! When my nephew Joaquin is along, he typically provides the show, so if you're ever there at the same time as us.....you're welcome. :lmao: Normally he just falls out of his chair (because he can't sit still) and we inevitably shout "man down! We have a man down!" :rotfl:

The elephants in the water are always tons of fun on the Safari! It's great to go on when it's raining, they come out in droves.

Well, the cheetah is a cat. They generally never really do much.

Woooo, that was a lion extravaganza!

We usually eat at Pizzafari anyway, but if we didn't, that glowing review of yours would have sent me there! :rotfl: Spilled drinks are ALWAYS funny, unless it is someone at your table doing the spilling!

That was a pretty great Safari for it being so hot out. :thumbsup2 I've never seen the cheetahs so out in the open, or that many lions chilling together on the rocks.

Oh wow that's so cool Danielle.

Bahaha, thank you in advance! :lmao:
It was just too funny and was all I could do to keep myself from laughing.

Oh really!!?? This was my absolute first time seeing them in the water so I was really excited. I didn't know that about the rain. Funny that this was actually one of the few sunny days I had on this trip.

Haha, true that! At least he/she had the courtesy to come out front for once and do nothing.

I didn't even know there were 3 lions. I always thought it was just 2.

Subbing! Really enjoying your TR so far. Keep it up! :goodvibes

Oh man it was soooooo funny, and just what I needed at that moment.

I was REALLY surprised. To have the cheetah out and THREE lions was pretty darn unexpected and cool.
