“IF THIS IS A DREAM, I DON’T WANT TO WAKE UP!” – POP! Goes The Solo Trip **THE END**

My husband wheres those cargo shorts ALL THE TIME... that's all he has except for 1 pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants that are part of a suit.
Whenever we go anywhere, he puts his wallet in a pocket that buttons.
Glad you got it back... and so quickly, that's pretty amazing.
That's some pretty awesome pixie dust.

Such a nerve wracking experience to lose your wallet!!! Thank god someone turned it in! So people are nice after all!!!

Great dinosaur photos. You are hilarious!

Ohmygosh... first of all, I was sick to my stomach just reading about your wallet saga, so I cannot fathom how you must have felt! So glad Walt was smiling down on ya! ;)

Your ride photos are FANTASTIC!!! So worth every penny for the card. And, bonus... the faces of your fellow riders are pretty amazing too! :rotfl:

Looking forward to reading more, now that I'm all caught up!

You know... someone once lost a pair of dentures on a ride... can you imagine going up and asking for those??? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh my gosh! You totally scared me and I was feeling sick for you! I am SO GLAD that GR had your wallet! I just can't imagine if it was a different outcome... well, you can imagine you listed all the ones I would be thinking!

Awesome Dino ride photo re-do! Shout out to Dani! :thumbsup2

Ok, that was enough excitement for an update. ;)

Great report so far! :thumbsup2 (I fear this will be a long reply, sorry :scared: )

Can I just say, I'm envious of your AP ...there I said it. I could have gotten one last year, but we knew there was no way we'd get back this year, so we didn't. :sad1:

Anyway, I love that you took a sign for K8 and used it! :thumbsup2

The POP food court has been my favourite food court so far of any place I've stayed on-site. The French Quarter one was creepy because of the giant masks, but aside from that I didn't find the menu choices to be all that varied, and while I did like the Peppermarket, I didn't like the set-up and staff working there. I'm sure things have changed now though, it's been a while since I've been to either of those places. The POP seems to have pretty consistently good food, with lots of choice, despite it being busy in there almost all the time.

I totally agree with you on the One Man's Dream exhibit. It gets bypassed far too often. The more times I go to WDW the slower of a pace I take it...not because I'm getting older  but because now it's not as much about the rides as it used to be for me...it's about the atmosphere, or the feeling I believe you described once before.

Anyway, your partial day at MGM sounded awesome :thumbsup2 A great way to kick things off! :goodvibes And then, your first full day at AK. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Can you imagine 6 visits and still no expeditions up everest? Shocking, I know. But, I vow that next trip, it will happen. I can't say that I'll go on it even 3 times in a row  but the point is that I will go on it! I chickened out last year after watching it go down the "big" drop for about 5 minutes. I've also never been on RR or ToT, though, it would take something extremely special to get me on ToT...I do not like big drops :scared: I did tell my dad that next time we go together I would go in RR with him, so I'm hopeful that will entice him to go with my September 2014 plan ::yes::

The RFID scanners look so cool! They weren't there in November when I was, so it'll be something else new to see next time :cool1:

I am SO glad you got your wallet back so quickly! :worship: I would have been beyond sick with worry. And to be there alone when it happened...I can't even imagine

Can't wait for more! popcorn::

I LOVE your trip reports, especially about Fantasmic! Really wish I could one day experience something like that. Your reports are the best I've read, very detailed with pictures. Keep them coming :thumbsup2

Late to the party, but I caught up and I'm loving your TR! Pop was my first disney resort as well. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!

Joining in and LOVING your TR so far! :wave2: SO GLAD you got your wallet back -- it's a Disney miracle! I was having a mini panic attack for you while I was reading that part, for sure! :rotfl:

Omg! So glad you got the wallet back with everything still in it! Disney Magic at its best!!!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & BWI Sept 8-15, 2013

Joining!!! :wave2: I love solo traveling! In fact, going solo in September AND I'm staying at Pop Century!!! Your pictures of AoA are great - I haven't been over there yet but already have a great sense of what it's like now... thanks!

Still catching up, but really enjoying your TR!!! :goodvibes

Yay, :welcome:. That's so great that you're doing a solo pretty soon AND at POP no less.
I think you'll love AoA. Seeing pictures will in no way ruin seeing it in person. It certainly didn't for me.

Thank you so much!!

I am always so paranoid I'm going to lose something like a credit card or my park pass. Glad you were able to get your wallet back! :thumbsup2

hahaha Dani's ride photo was awesome. Love your little message to her. So funny. Your first ride picture is pretty funny too-I like the guy in the front row on the right. Actually, the kid next to him has a nice expression on his face too. :rotfl:

OMG it was such a nightmare at the time. To lose everything was scary. I was soooo relieved to have it in my hand.

Wasn't it awesome Sarah?? I laugh just thinking about it. This was one of those spontaneous things that just hit me and I never would have been able to if I wasn't solo and had Attractions+.
Haha, their looks are almost identical. Plus the girl on the end... "Nope, I'm not lookin'".

First: primeval whirl, such a cute ride, we laughed the entire way through it, good times.

SEE THIS IS WHY I DONT GO ON DINOSAUR! Things get lost, wallets, guns, you know.... :lmao:

BUT seriously, holy crap I'm glad the wallet got turned in and everything was still in it! That's awesome!! Thank god for pixie dust, and good use of gifs bahaha

That's Primeval Whirl EXACTLY. Non-stop laughter. You nailed it.

Bahaha, yeah I learned my lesson. I don't "think" I actually lost it on the ride, but honestly have no idea.

You and me both Katt. On the bright side, it make you appreciate Disney even more.
Haha, thanks. I came across the one with the cat (haha cat... Katt... anyway) and it just cracked me up (plus looks exactly like my cat) AND seemed perfect for how I was feeling in that moment.

Oh my goodness! I would have been panicking! I am glad everything turned out okay for you though.

I enjoy PW too. It is a fun little ride. Dinosaur will be a must do this next trip since I missed it last time. I love it.

Haha, believe me I was. And thank you, all turned out well.

I remember the first time I rode Dinosaur; I just wanted to go again and again. It's becoming a bit less of a "must do" for me, but yet I still always ride. Now Indiana Jones out west... That's something else.

My husband wheres those cargo shorts ALL THE TIME... that's all he has except for 1 pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants that are part of a suit.

That's some pretty awesome pixie dust.

You know the sad thing is, I WAS wearing cargo shorts with buttons. I think when I decided to do up the sign; my mind just went out of focus. Believe me; I checked that the pocket was buttoned religiously after I got it back. I think I may have laid it down when I did the sign, so it may not have made it into the pocket at all.

I was shocked. It was probably about and hour and a half between loss and recovery. Pixie dust for sure.

Such a nerve wracking experience to lose your wallet!!! Thank god someone turned it in! So people are nice after all!!!

Great dinosaur photos. You are hilarious!

I wouldn't wish it on anybody Rachel. It was rough. But it was nice to see that good people do still exist... especially in Disney.

Haha, thanks so much! I try. :p

Ohmygosh... first of all, I was sick to my stomach just reading about your wallet saga, so I cannot fathom how you must have felt! So glad Walt was smiling down on ya! ;)

Aww, I like that; Walt smiling down. :littleangel:

The card is a GREAT deal. And yup, I must admit to enjoying other people's reactions as well.

Yay, thank you Tracy.

You know... someone once lost a pair of dentures on a ride... can you imagine going up and asking for those??? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Haha, oh my, that would be tough Michelle.

Oh my gosh! You totally scared me and I was feeling sick for you! I am SO GLAD that GR had your wallet! I just can't imagine if it was a different outcome... well, you can imagine you listed all the ones I would be thinking!

Awesome Dino ride photo re-do! Shout out to Dani! :thumbsup2

Ok, that was enough excitement for an update. ;)

Aww Brenda, thank you. I saw your post on FB too. It was a scary time. Not so much for lost items, but for the impact on the trip.
But then, you knew I got it back. Otherwise this would have been a pretty short TR. :upsidedow

Thanks. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't have Attractions+. But since the photo was essentially free... why not.

No worries. We're back to more hum drum stuff now.

Great report so far! :thumbsup2 (I fear this will be a long reply, sorry :scared: )

Thank you (and no need to apologize). Let 'er rip. I love comments.

Haha, I just LOVE it even though I've only used it for one trip (so far). I always have it with me.

Thank you. It was fun.

The POP food court was definitely busy, but I kind of liked the energy, so it was all good. Landscape of Flavours at AoA looks phenomenal too.

I agree. One Man's Dream needs to be seen by EVERYBODY. Period! It's awesome.

It was a great arrival day to be sure. Best ever in fact.

Obviously I love EE. I just love that they designed it with that drop right out front for everyone to see. It's such a great experience. RNRC is really short, so before you know it, it's over.

I love those scanners. Thankfully they always worked for me. I've heard others had some problems.

It was definitely a rough period, but thankfully, it all worked out in the end.

I LOVE your trip reports, especially about Fantasmic! Really wish I could one day experience something like that. Your reports are the best I've read, very detailed with pictures. Keep them coming :thumbsup2

Wow, thank you so much! :welcome: That Fantasmic was definitely special. I can't thank you enough for your kind words.

Late to the party, but I caught up and I'm loving your TR! Pop was my first disney resort as well. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!

You're not late at all Jennifer. There is LOTS more to come.
Thank you so much for being here :welcome:

Joining in and LOVING your TR so far! :wave2: SO GLAD you got your wallet back -- it's a Disney miracle! I was having a mini panic attack for you while I was reading that part, for sure! :rotfl:

Thank you so very much!! :welcome: I love hearing that.
Haha thank you, it was a rough go. I tried to make it suspenseful. Glad to hear it worked. :goodvib

Omg! So glad you got the wallet back with everything still in it! Disney Magic at its best!!!

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & BWI Sept 8-15, 2013

Thanks so much and :welcome:. It was indeed Disney Magic at work.

I love this TR. Solo is so much fun, I actually really miss it! AND I LOVE YOUR STACEY ENTHUSIASM. Please invite me to the wedding!!!

The crowd you described during Fantasmic is exactly how I act so I am glad to hear you are not annoyed by that b/c sometimes I feel like I am too loud and I don't want to bother anyone. I just get SO EXCITED though. I saw it three times last month and I was just as excited every time. They ARE rockstars to me hahaha.

I love your Everest marathon!!! I would pass out if I lost my wallet though. I check for it about 400,000 times a day b/c I am so paranoid. If you lose your ID what are you even supposed to do about flying home? I think the TSA has ways to confirm your identity but still that is pretty terrifying. I am SO happy they had your wallet at GR. Omg.

Haha, believe me I was. And thank you, all turned out well.

I remember the first time I rode Dinosaur; I just wanted to go again and again. It's becoming a bit less of a "must do" for me, but yet I still always ride. Now Indiana Jones out west... That's something else.

I love to ride it with first timers and they get TERRIFIED in the picture!!

Don't worry, I'll ride Indy a few times in July! I love that two.

I'm glad you got your wallet back so easily!
I lost my wallet once...it never got returned to me, and someone used my credit card. It's definitely no fun to replace things, and since I lost a military ID with it, I had to fill out a report at the MP station before they'd let me replace it.

Wow, that is some serious pixie dust getting your wallet back totally intact! pixiedust: Just goes to show there ARE still good and decent people left in the world. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

As for the rest of the update, that ride photo is HILARIOUS!!! How lucky is Dani to get a shoutout?! But, I have to agree, her ride photo from Dinosaur was pretty epic and deserves shoutouts! :worship:

LIA!!!! Can I just say what an honour it is to have a real life DIS icon reading my little TR. :welcome: So exciting. :goodvibes

Thank you so much. I really didn't know what to expect, but having read so many people's solo experiences (your's included) I'm so glad to have done it. It was one of the absolute best trips ever.
OH Gawd Stacey. I just can't get enough. I consider it a healthy obsession. :worship:
Of course you're invited. Given your Stacey love, I'm thinking Maid of Honour. In fact, I think she'd insist on it. ;)

You just can't be too loud at Fantasmic! You can only be too quiet. Honestly, I would love it even if I was alone in the Theatre, it's so good. But to have the crowd cheer and scream like they did, I was just over the moon. I'm getting chills now thinking about it. Best... Fantasmic!... Ever.

Isn't Everest just the best?

Oh man the wallet situation was C.R.A.Z.Y. Being from Canada I still had my passport in the room safe, so at least I still had some form of ID. But I did not want to lose precious Disney time dealing with everything else. On the bright side, it made for a good TR story. Plus, it was just another example of how wonderful Disney CM's (and guests) can be.

I love to ride it with first timers and they get TERRIFIED in the picture!!

Don't worry, I'll ride Indy a few times in July! I love that two.

Haha, true that! :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, D-land in a month and then WDW a month later. Jealous! Make that Super Crazy Jealous!

Thanks Becca! It was a scary time for sure.
Did you lose your wallet at Disney, or was this elsewhere? That sucks that your credit card was used. Oh my.

I could not agree more about that. I was truly shocked, but certainly relieved as well.

I'm telling you, her ride photo had me laughing so hard (you just can't fake that reaction) that I had to do something. It was just a perfect scenario. I think she enjoyed it too. :thumbsup2
