Awww! That is the cutest pose! :goodvibes

My! It certainly looked cold... you're wearing mittens and winter coats in Florida!!
The native Floridians must've been wearing their long underwear, too!!

I'm looking forward to seeing how the girls react to TSM!!

Chapter 12: Toy Story Mania or bust!

Date: January 21st
Time: 11ish am
Place Disney Hollywood Studios!

We shot through the FP line for TSM in about 15 mins as opposed to the poor suckers who had been waiting in line for over an hour! The stand by line was now at 75 mins and the FP's were for 630pm! This was at 1130am!

Toy Story Mania! What can I say but WOW! I have never experienced such an amazing ride! Absolutely incredible! Way more fun than an adult should be allowed to have! We grabbed a few of the remaining FP's and headed over to check in for our 1230 ADR at 50's PTC!

We were seated almost immediately and it was just after noon! WOW! Our server was Cousin Mikey and he was a riot! Too Much Fun! This was one of our favourite dining experiences of the whole trip! Great food, awesome service and a super fun atmosphere! What else could you ask for? Ken and I both had the fried chicken with Mashed potatoes and southern greens! Really yummy! Emily had the kids pick of salad, chicken fingers with fries and ice cream. Nat had chicken noodle soup a hot dog and fries and fruit salad! They ate every bite! Good eaters my children are! They make me so proud!

By the time we were finished and all done it was nearly 2pm! Talk about a long lunch! We rode Star Tours again and then went to see the Muppet Show! Just as silly and funny as I remembered it to be! The kids loved it too!

We then went to the HISTK playground to let the kids burn off a little steam! They thought it was so cool! I remember being there in 1991 just 2 years after it had opened! We had to take some fun pictures to match the ones that I have of my sister and I in the same places almost 18 years earlier!

When they were ready we had a stroll through the Streets of America and found a photopass guy! Had some pics taken and then we got to meet up with Lightning McQueen and Mater at Luigi's garage! The girls were so thrilled as this is one of their fave movies! I just love how the cars rev their engines! Too cool!

You did well to get the TSM FPs straight away!
I cannot wait to try it!
I'm hoping you had the chance to use the 2nd set of FPs...

50's Prime Time Cafe is always fun, especially when you luck out and get a server who likes to play!

Did anyone get in "trouble" there?? ;)

Loving your report!!

Kathy

Kimberly, I got the same meal at the 50s that you did. It was awesome!!! I love your kissy picture too....and the one of Ken with the ViewMaster!!! Oh, and arent their chicken noodle soup and desserts great?

Enjoying your TR...you're a really cute family.

I love the kissy face picture too!

Looking forward to more!:thumbsup2

We had "Cousin Mikey" as our server and he was...GREAT! :thumbsup2 He was fun, funny and seemed to clue into the fact that we really up to the whole shenanigans bit! Our girls have naturally terrific table manners and he kept using them as a reference point to other people in the room! It was fun and the food was really yummy!

Hi!
I just got caught up with your trip report and I love it!
Your daughters are adorable!
I can't wait to read more!

Welcome and Thanks for joining in! :goodvibes I hope to post another chapter sometime today! :woohoo:

Well, the chapter that I had planned to post yesterday never happened! Sorry! Yesterday was a holiday for us up here in Canada so I was pretty lazy! Today is quite a busy day so not sure if I will get one up tonite or not! Depends on how long the school council meeting runs! Later Peeps! :goodvibes

Love the pictures of your girls in the playground at HS (forget the name). They look like they are having a great time. Wow - I can't believe they still need their winter coats. Brrrrrhhhhh! My kids only ever played there once and then they got too old. Makes me regret not taking them when they were younger.

Actually, those are their SPRING/FALL Coats! ;) Up here our winter gear is a tad bit warmer than those coats! I will try to find a picture of them dressed for our Winters and let you see the difference! The coats they are wearing in these photos would not do much to cut the chill of our Northern winter weather! :cold::cold: It was actually only about 5 degrees celcius that day which is quite balmy compared to what we left at home! :sunny:

For all of my readers who are fortunate enough to live south of the "snow line" I will give you a little taste of what winter in Northern Ontario looks like! Here are a couple of pics of my girls decked out in their winter gear playing in the snow! ENJOY!!!

This from February 2008! Taken on a trail in Nipigon, ON where my INLAws live! Ken took the girls sliding on a nice sunny winter day!

This one is from February of THIS YEAR! After we returned from WDW! Nat in our back yard with the snow people they built with Ken! Yes, we do get A LOT of snow!

I'm here! :cool1:

Thanks for redirecting me from the "duplicate" original post. I was wondering why I was the only one on that board .

I agree with all the others: your family is just adorable and it sounds like you all had a marvelous time. I've stayed at WL twice and I just adored it. Hope you get some pics up so that I can get homesick all over again! I just LOVE :lovestruc Wilderness Lodge!!!!

Looking forward to hearing the rest...

Hey All! :goodvibes We have had a bit of a crazy week!

Me and the girls were all sick at one point or another and ken's been working crazy overtime both at his day job and with what he does at church! We are all mostly healthy now, but our house is a total mess!

Emily is doing day camp with her Brownie group today 40km out of town and she also has 2 birthday parties to attend today and tomorrow! Ken's Aunt and Uncle are driving across the country from Alberta and pulling into our yard in their HUGE trailer sometime tonite to spend the night and our church is having a Big Celebration Service tomorrow morning at our local Community Auditorium!

Needless to say I haven't had much time to get a chapter up! I am working on one right now and hope to have it up within a couple hours! Wish me luck! :)

I've caught up with your report. It sounds like you all are having a great time. I can't wait to read more!!!

Here you go my loyal readers - just as promised!

Chapter 13: Lights, Motors Action!

Date: Still January 21st!
Time: 345pm
Place: Disney's Hollywood Studios

It was now about 345 and we wanted to see the 4:10 show of Lights, Motors, Action! We got in line and cuddled close together to wait as it was really cold! I don't think it got above 43 degrees all day! Brrr.! LMA was VERY COOL! We all loved it and it is now on our list of must do's for the next trip!

Emily was very anxious to see the Prince Caspian exhibit as she loves the Narnia books and had been given the movie for Christmas!
Before we could get there however, we had to take a little break! ;) The girls were starting to show signs of tiredness and not listening very well. One thing we noticed about DHS - there are not really many comfortable places to sit and have quiet rest! :confused3 Sooo... we improvised! We found a nice cozy cement cone for them cuddle up to! :rotfl:After about a 5 minute "quiet time" they were ready to go again! So we made our way over to Prince Caspian!
DSC02009.jpg

The girls and I stood in line to get in to see that while Ken ran down to see if he could get a FP for ToT! We got in sooner than expected and Ken wasn't back yet so he missed out! Poor guy! There weren't any FP's left for ToT either! He did manage to get one for RnRC though! Emily and I did the Great Movie Ride next to check it out cause there was no line at all! I couldn't remember how “scary” some parts of it were so Ken and Natalie sat this one out! The girls were wanting to do some shopping so we did this while Ken went and used his FP for RnRC!

We met up with each other at 630 to do our FP's for TSM! Another amazing ride left me longing for more, alas, it wasn't to be as the FP's had run out before noon and the stand by line was sitting somewhere around 45 mins!
DSC02011.jpg

We found a photopass guy on our way out of the park and did some picks and then wearily made our way to the bus stop! It was 655pm! We had been at the park for 10.5 hours! A very long and very cold day! Super fun though! We caught the bus back to WL, grabbed some food at Roaring Forks on the way in and went back to our room! Ken went for a work out at the Gym and the girls and I watched a bit of Stacey on the tube! We were all in bed asleep by 9pm!

Sounds like a wonderful, if not chilly day! :thumbsup2

I'm with you... not to many quiet-time areas at the Studios. That was a long day for the girls... and you.

And after all that, DH went to the gym!! :faint:

YUP! What can I say? "He's a maniac, maniac, ..." heehee :rotfl: Seriously though, he runs marathons and works out every day - walking through the parks was just not enough for him! :confused3 :upsidedow

We are thinking about doing a shorter trip in January of 2010 and in considering where we might stay, He asks me if there are any Mods with Gyms! I said" um, yeah, there's one, CSR, but I don't want to stay there" He says "why not?, it has a gym!" I said"it's way too big, you wouldn't like it!" so he comes back with "uh, yeah I would, cause it has a gym!" aarrggghhh! pirate:

Hi! Subbing in :goodvibes I am really enjoying this TR! I was in the wonderful World January 4th-8th! The end of the month sounds a lot more enjoyable than the first of it was though! Your girls are precious, and you are so blessed to have such a tight knit group! Looking forward to reading more!:thumbsup2
