Will I be disappointed with Wonder?

On the Fantasy vs. Dream
The Adult pool Area is better on the Fantasy
Satellite Falls on the Fantasy is a WINNER!!
Heck, Deck 13 forward - win for the Fantasy
Aqua Lab on the Fantasy

The Bathrooms on the Fantasy in the Adult Entertainment District - the Tile/mosaic Flamingo Dancers are Stunning.

But other than that they are the same.

I really didn't notice the difference. Maybe it's because we didn't go to Satellite Falls or play in the Aqua Lab. The one thing we didn't like on the Fantasy was the sports bar. It has a much better lay out on the Dream. To me both ships are awesome, and we have had great service on all our cruises. There is just not enough differences between the Dream and the Fantasy except itinerary for me to rank one above the other. I'm looking forward to sailing on the Wonder and Magic one day. I hope I'm not disappointed with the older ships.

I am nervous about this because I've done 2 one week cruises (in July 2012 and April 2013) on the Fantasy, and we are doing a 2 week Panama Canal cruise on the Wonder in September. But... 2 weeks on a Disney boat with a Kindle full of books and my friends, really it's going to be awesome. I know I'm packing super magnets because that's my favorite part of the cruise (seeing people's doors is awesome).

Last year (May) we did the WBPC cruise from Miami to LA.

Great Ship ... Great Crew!! ::yes::
Two Weeks - No Cooking, Cleaning, Cell Phones, Texts or E-Mails!!
Good Friends (Table Mates), Good Food (MDR's & Palo), Good Drinks
Good Ports / Excursions

No Problems ... Best ... Cruise ... Ever ::yes::

I love this discussion as I have avoided the Wonder for a variety of reasons. We have only been on the Fantasy and Dream, so my kids expect things like the elaborate kids areas, aquaduck, and especially the mystery games (can't remember what they are called!). I like the idea of less people and I have read many reviews. I can't say I wouldn't go on the Wonder, but with the amount of money I spend on these vacations, I know I love the ships we have been on. I will continue to read about the Wonder as maybe I will try it some day. I am also afraid of being disappointed, so keep the discussion rolling with all the reasons to try the Wonder!:goodvibes

I'm the opposite of you. I've only sailed the Wonder, twice last year & Alaska booked for this year. I love the Wonder and can't wait to try the Magic but am reluctant to book on the Dream or Fantasy due to their size. The Wonder's CM's are top notch and the ship is easy to navigate. Although the technology of the newer ships sounds nice the additional 1900 passengers do not.

I asked a CM onboard the Wonder about people expressing preferences between the classic ships and the new ones. He said it seemed as if they preferred whichever they first experienced...sort of a 'first love' scenario.
Other threads have had remarks from CMs about Wonder being a happy ship and preferring the opportunity to interact more easily with fewer passengers.
It's all in the eye of the beholder :thumbsup2

We just returned from a 5 night Wonder on Wednesday. We were on the remained Magic in February and 2 Dream cruises in 2013. The Wonder is now our absolute favorite! There were many things we saw on the Wonder and said why in the world did they get rid of this on the Magic. With the exception of not having Cabanas I can't think of anything we wish it had. Clean, AMAZING crew, and such a overall good feel that I really can't put into words. With the great deals on the Miami cruises if you can get on her don't think twice you will love it.

More Wonder love here:love: We are sailing on her 3 times in the next 6 months, so yeah, you could probably call us fans:thumbsup2

We sailed Wonder last year and i barely remember it. Don't know if i was underwhelmed or just ready to go home. This was the end of an 11 day trip combined with Disney World. I just remember being soooo over it.

Now contrast this to last months trip on the Dream. I absolutely loved it. Did
not want to go home at all. Loved it so much we booked it next Feb and Fantasy in January. But again the earlier experience could have been because
the vacation was too long. I'm definitely going to try to cruise wonder again.
(this time cruise only):goodvibes
