Steph and Tom's PJ!1/3/10-WP/WHR/AAP/ITALY-We won Best Love Story! Thanks for voting.

Yes, yes! Definitely still interested out here! :thumbsup2

And, wow, how long does it take to get the high res and pro photos! I am going to have to prepare myself for this wait!

Looking forward to hearing more, Steph!

Leah

thanks leah! It takes a few months to get the proofs and prints. I ordered the high res after the fact and they got that too me a couple weeks. I have had them now for a bit but just have not had time to update between work, working on my professional album and other personal stuff in my life. i will be finishing it soon, i promise.

OK I am back. I know it has been a while since I updated but liek I said before I have been busy. Now without further ado....

I have received my high res disc and wanted to post some of our potratis in high res. I might have posted some before.

One of my favorites-we did not know that the photographer was taking pictures. This is right before we got married walking into the wedding pavillion

Reception

We leave the Wedding Pavillion and hop into the van (should have gotten the model T-hate what you realize you should have done after the fact) and head to the GF for the last of the cocktail hour and reception. There are no pictures from the cocktail hour since we were doing our potrait shots. Also being that it was 45 degrees that day, they had to move the cocktail hour inside(was suppose to be on the patio). Anyway, DH runs to get some appetiziers and I mingle a bit(still not hungry). Ken comes to get us to show us our room before the guests come in.

Tom's pirate treasure that I did for him as a surprise(thanks Elizabeth!)
BG14.jpg

With the tables i went, in my opinion, simple and elegant. I am not a big flower person and did not want to spend a lot on flowers. I was very happy with how the room came out. I willl say I am SO glad I got the chair covers. Worth each $8.50 a cover!

Ken and his people start rounding everybody up and escorting them to the WHR. DJ Scooter starts to play the music and introduce MOH and BM. Next is our turn and out we go to the POTC He's a pirate(DH really wanted to walk into it so being a wonderful wife, I gave in)

BG16.jpg

Our first dance was to Michael Buble's Everything. It has been our song since almost the beginning of our relationship and was perfect to be our wedding song.
BG17.jpg

BG20.jpg

BG19.jpg

BG18.jpg

After our dance, BM and MOH made their speeches.

BG21.jpg

BG22.jpg

Then we told the DJ originally that our "reverand" was going to speak but he did not want to. Well we forgot to tell the DJ and he called him up. He was completely caught off guard so he just "blessed us"
BG23.jpg

Now it's time to Eat Drink and be Merry(which I had him play as we started eating-Love me DMB!)

We went with the buffet(lost I wanted plated but it worked out). The food was very good. We had

A Seafood Station with Jumbo Shrimp, Mediterranean Style Roasted Mussels and Island-spiced Scallops served on Ice with Cocktail
Sauce, Lemons and Limes
******
A Salad Station with Medley of Greens with toppings: Cucumbers. Tomatoes, Red Onion, Broccoli, Carrols, Marinated Mushrooms, Olives, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon and Croutons Balsamic, Low-fat Zinfandel and Blue Cheese Dressings

Grilled Chicken Pasta Salad
******
An action Station with Horseradish-crusted Beef Strip Loin with the following on the side: Blackberry Demi, Rolls, Butter, Mayonnaise,
Mustard

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Horseradish Yukon Gold Potatoes topped with Aged Cheddar Served with Chive Sour Cream and Crisp Proscuitto(they were in martini glasses and are awesome. Highly recommend this!

Baby Carrots and Asparagus
Squash, Zucchini, and Onions
******
Chicken Parmigiana with Penne Pasta with Marinara, accomanied by Grated Cheese, and Garlic Bread Sticks

Creamy Parmesan and Goat Cheese Risotto Topped with Pork Ossa Buco and Gremolata

Everything was delicious. This wonderful gentlemen took me around and carried my plate for me while I chose what I wanted to eat so I would not spill it on my dress. I forgot his name but thanks to him! I was not going to be one of those brides that didn't eat. I did not eat a lot but tried a bit of everything. We got a lot of compliments on the food.

Love the photos! and your choice of entrance music and first dance :goodvibes
Lol I suggested to DF that we leave our ceremony to "he's a pirate" pirate: but he wasn't sure!! (think we'll go for something a bit more romantic, like the Spectromagic piano medley? decisions decisions!)

Looking forward to seeing more :cutie:

SO everyone is dancing it up when Scooter announces some "special guests" (now we did not tell anyone that they were coming. People kept asking and we told them it is not allowed because of trademark issues and that only one mickey can be in the world at a time-hahahaha well we lied)

Here is Mickey and Minnie!!!!

BG28.jpg

BG29.jpg

One of my favorite pictures
BG30.jpg

I'm all about thumbs up and rock on signs-hehe
BG32.jpg

When Mickey and Minnie came, the entire party was on the dance floor and everyone became kids again. It was so worth it to spend the money to have them both there. I stepped back at that point and took it all in. I tell every friend that is getting married to do that and you will remember that moment. We all danced with Mickey and Minnie to "family friendly" music and then it was time to cut the cake.

BG33.jpg

They are so cute!
BG34.jpg

I did not get any cake-except of course when DH fed it to me but we went with:
Layer 1 (top-we took this home for our one year): Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Filling
Layer 2 (middle): Chocolate Cake with Bavarian Cream Filling
Layer 3 (boltom): WhitelYel/ow Cake with Milk Chocolate Mousse

Everyone said the cake was very good and I am still upset that I did not get a whole piece.

My MOH loved mickey so much, he got a kiss (her hubby better watch out ;)

After this, they had to leave :( so we said goodbye and back in for dancing.

Thank Emma! I loved doing Pirates, it really worked out well. DH walked into the ceremony with Pirate's life for me-lol so had to continue the trend.

Oh yay! I LOVE your photos and want more, More, MORE! whooops, sorry...getting a little too excited! :rotfl:

Seriously, it looks so great! Thank you for posting! :thumbsup2

Did you do vendor reviews? I have to look back in your PJ to find out. I'd love to know how you liked Scooter. Someone else recommended him, so I'm curious what you thought!

thank you!!
Leah

Yay, you're back! I love your pictures, esp the one of you and DH walking to the WP and he is holding your bouquet.

It looks like you guys had an awesome time! Aw, see, I was on the fence about the mice...I think you may have swayed me back. I wasn't sure how other people would react and DF is not so sure, but it sounds like all of your guests had a great time with it.

The menu sounds so good and I'm glad to hear you tried everything. I'm determined to eat at my wedding too.

Looking forward to hearing more!

Thanks Leah. :) My reviews are on page 30. I also will be doing what I should have and should not have done once I am done with the wedding report. Scooter was great. High energy, fun, played everything I asked him to and just good music all around. I know he likes to use props which I did not want at my wedding (too bar mitzvah) and he did not pull any out. I went to my friend's wedding this past weekend and her DJ was HORRIBLE. It really made me realize even more how great Scooter was. I do recommend him.

Thanks Sara. That picture is also one of my favorites and is one of the photos on my thanks yous (which i will post eventually). Since I did not get married at one of the parks, I had to do something very Disney and really wanted the mice. I never even swayed, me and df both wanted them. People went nuts. Everyone wanted to dance wtih them and take pictures, it just made the wedding much more fun. I am glad we did both Mickey and Minnie instead of one character. I am a total advocate for you to do it!

Glad your back! The photos are gorgeous!! Your menu sounds delicious too! Do you have any food porn pics? I was wondering how much your buffet was per person if you dont mind my asking? Congrats again Steph!!

Once Mickey and Minnie left, disney friendly music ended and Scooter started playing me some freestyle. Everyone was just dancing it up!

Thanks Marissa. We customized our menu to our and our guests likes and dislikes. Here are some food pics. I did not post them because I did not think people would care :rotfl:

Those are the only photos the photographer took of the food and they did not take any of the food at my desert party.

Hope this helps!

We did the traditional tossing of the bouquet and the garter but added our own little twist to it. Since almost everyone at my wedding is married, I did not want to call out 2 girls so instead I came up with the idea of tossing it to a dance version I found of When you wish upon a star and whoever caught it has to make a wish. I know it is kind of cheesy but I figured it would be cute especially since it IS Disney where a wish that you wish will come true....:lmao:

So I get ready to toss the bouquet and then I do my thing and my sister in law caught it (which made me very happy). My photographers come up to me to inform me that they BOTH missed the shot and asked me to do it again. He told me to pretend to throw it and it looks horrible. here is one of the shots-the rest are worse
BG40.jpg

I was really pissed and wondered how 2 photographers missed it.

Anyway, DH was all about the garter. He could not wait. SInce everyone was married, we decided that whoever caught got to do a shot with DH of the drink of their choice (which ended up being tequilla the drink of the night!) Let's talk about something random here....DH and I are HUGE Yankee fans. I decided that I would get a Yankee garter as a surprise to him, well he decides that he wanted Eddie Laton's version of Take me Out to the Ballgame which is the version they use to play at the original Yankee Stadium to be the garter toss song. I almost died when he told me this.

BG58.jpg

At this time we danced some more
BG47.jpg

and then it was time to go :(

We reminded everyone about the Dessert party, where it was and where to meet. As you see I was very excited
BG48.jpg

Then it was time to go back to the room. This is where it turned from a wonderful day to a very sad day. We went back to the room and I wanted to call my grandparents. IF you remember my grandpa was very sick with cancer and my grandmother had fallen and broken her foot and arm and they were not able to come. So I called my grandpa and he could barely talk. I told him that Tom and I were married and happy and that we loved him. He knew it was me and I understood somethings. It was very hard for me but I knew he would want me to enjoy the rest of my wedding night. I spoke to my grandma who cried but was happy to hear our day went great. More on this later....

Up Next the Dessert Party
