Run Now! It’s Wine 0’Clock in WDW…Cupcakes Gone W&D16

Unfortunately I've never been to WDW during the holidays so I don't have any holiday treat favorites. Both of yours look very good tho.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year by the way!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year by the way!

Christmas is certainly a favorite time of mine at WDW...but honestly I think that Fall is just as magical! Summer...not so much! LOL

Merry Christmas Ryan and many blessings for 2016!

So.... ice cream does a number on me( I will leave it at that) But the peppermint chocolate cupcake with those white chocolate shavings. I mean this TR is so so delicious ALREADY!! This cupcake will be so close to Boardwalk so I have to bring it back for my girls.

We are early spring attenders and since I have jumped on the RunDisney bandwagon, it is late winter. I totally enjoyed the late fall November date. Decorations were up and it felt good to come back and enter into Thanksgiving.

Debra on her Christmas trip now, right? Tammie, my booking dates are November 4-7th.

Both of those treats look great!!

I don't do mint, so holiday treats tend to not work for me. But that doesn't stop me from staring and drooling!

Memory Monday:
On Our Way

So being snowed in with a blizzard swirling around you has it's advantages...spent some time these last few days to get my scrapbook started from PHM. I am attempting to do more blocking layouts as well as journaling pages (what I wrote in my TR).

Okay...so no ice cream for Kafi! I am so glad we are kindred foodies at heart. I downloaded the 2015 Disney Food Blog F&W guide (with prepurchase of 2016 guide) as well as Epcot Snacks Guide...drooling over the pictures in these 2 books.

Yes, Debra is finishing up her trip and heads home tomorrow. It looks like she has had a great time. So excited to hear all about it.

I am adding your booking dates to the front page!

LOL...no mint but you are drooling. I like peppermint only during the holiday season...the rest of the year not so much...yes I totally jump on the pumpkin and peppermint bandwagons!

2015 miles in 2015
Goal 1,000 personal miles

Personal Weekly Mileage: 44 miles
Personal YTD Mileage: 974 miles

I was really worried the entire week that I was not going to be able to get to my goal of 1,000 miles this year thanks to the blizzard that was forecasted for this past weekend. So I really pushed myself to cover some distance on days that I could get moving outside. In fact the weather was beautiful (talking 50s-60s) up until Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, the wind came in and there has been no way to get outside AT ALL because right behind the wind came the cold and snow…the last 3 days has been nothing but BLIZZARD which means NO MILES, except

IMG_4620.JPG

Santa Honey listened to my Christmas wants this year and saw my determination & dedication and brought me a
treadmill in his sleigh. Looks like I just might make it to my 1,000 mile goal despite Mother Nature.

Half Marathons
Goal of 12 Half Marathons in 2015

YTD: 15 Completed

In my push to get as much mileage in before the blizzard, I completed my last 2 virtual half marathons to reach my goal of 15 halfs in 2015 (thanks to SarahDisney who revised my goal when I hit 12 a few months ago).

IMG_4390.JPG IMG_4488.JPG

Fitting that my last Half Marathon of the year would be a cupcake one! While pushing myself to get 15 Halfs done this year was a great goal, I don't think it will be one that I will be repeating for 2016. I have come to be really comfortable with the distance in the last year but I need to focus more on actually running and speed.

Awesome pages above!

I know how you feel about the blizzards. Luckily tho Wisconsin has been very mild and dry so far except for today where we currently have a winter storm warning with ice and snow.

Congrats on 15 halfs! That cupcake medal is awesome and totally fitting. I'm looking at one half so far next year but if all goes well I may get another one in around my area.

Yes! on the treadmill. IT has been wild weather here. Torrential downpours and look at all that bling!! Tammie, I know you will make your goal and it has been wonderful working with you all year long. Yes, I embraced all things pumpkin spice and peppermint. I have a little bit of peppermint white chocolate coffee creamer left and I am sad to see it go!!

I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas!

Your scrapbook pages look great!

LOL...no mint but you are drooling.

So ... I have a problem with the smell of mint. When I see pictures of mint things, I always think they look really yummy and I want to try it ... until someone reminds me that it's mint and I'd rather not be in the same room as it.

(thanks to SarahDisney who revised my goal when I hit 12 a few months ago).

Yeah, yeah, blame me for everything...
Congrats on the 15 halfs!! That's an amazing accomplishment!

And yay for a new treadmill! Looks like a nice one - and Santa was clearly working with the weather elves to make sure that the timing of your gift was perfect!

Whet Your Appetite Wednesday:
TOP TEN Favorite Snacks at WDW
And the start of my list that I want to try

Trying to find ways to pass the next 308 days, so Wednesday is going to be officially called “Whet Your Appetite Wednesday” because “Cupcakes” like eating and most of this trip will be focused around Wine & Dine. Since the menus are not up for next year until the midSpring, I figured we could pass the time away with some of our favorite dining experiences or foods from around WDW!

At the end of the year people seem to do a lot of countdowns…so why not make this week of Whet Your Appetite a Top 10 Countdown of Favorite Snacks (really in no order of favorite…just what came to mind first).

What qualifies as a snack…CANNOT BE DRANK 100% (just in case the Tweedles happen to pop in here and try to list cocktails as a snack…that countdown will come later).

thank you...so glad that silly goal of 15 is over and done with...but I also know that I need to keep the distance up every 2 weeks to keep muscle memory. That might be a hard thing to accomplish. UGH

You should see if you can get 2 more within the 90 day time frame of WDW Half and become a half fanatic. I am secretly trying to figure out if I have it in me to become a Marathon Manic in order to become a Double Agent.

I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas!

I think I would take the downpours over the bitter cold wind of 50 mph and greater that we had for 4 days straight. Although just give me 60-80 degrees with occassional cold, snow and rain and I would be a happy camper.

Hope Christmas was great for all you and your little ones.

Did you know that you can freeze the creamer...yep sometimes in late winter before spring I just need a dash of pumpkin and peppermint.

I am so thankful to my DH for finally listening to me on the treadmill...he gives great presents all they time but sometimes I would much prefer the pratical gift then the jewerly and such.

Your scrapbook pages look great!

thank you...really trying to get pages done and really do not have a clear direction for this album. I wanted to go all block layouts and little embellishing...but then simple drives me crazy...why does simple have to be so hard? LOL

So ... I have a problem with the smell of mint. When I see pictures of mint things, I always think they look really yummy and I want to try it ... until someone reminds me that it's mint and I'd rather not be in the same room as it.

I used to hate peppermint and only liked mint (spearmint, I guess) but now my tastes have changed and I hate mint but peppermint is a flavor I crave. In fact my fuel of choice is now a few starlite peppermints! A few of those tucked in my sparkleskirt pocket are all I need.

Yeah, yeah, blame me for everything...
Congrats on the 15 halfs!! That's an amazing accomplishment!

No blame...you just pushed me to revise my goal by planting the seed in my head...and I am so thankful I did. Although the last few really have been only about distance and nothing about time.

And yay for a new treadmill! Looks like a nice one - and Santa was clearly working with the weather elves to make sure that the timing of your gift was perfect!

thank goodness that santa husband was on the ball because we have now been stuck inside since Saturday...i might try to get out this afternoon and get some outside miles in...i like actually going somewhere when i walk.

I have a confession I have not been able to get over to staring Rolls to eat the "World" famous red velvet cupcake and never made it by animal kingdom to get Zebra Domes so those could potentially be 9 and 10. Again Ice cream and myself do not get along. My hubby will smile and eat Mickey Bars and dole whips I tried when we actually were stationed in Hawaii and toured the Dole Pineapple plantation.... they were ok to me. I do want to taste a grey stuff cupcake aswell. Yep, I am now officially hungry.

So ... the only one of those snacks I've ever had is the Mickey Ice Cream bar. It's delicious enough that I don't feel a need to try anything else.
Oops?

9. My favorite dessert there! mine too...I just wish they had it for dinner instead of that hard cookie brownie thingy
10. Never had certainly yummy and if you get a chance to go to AKL...the Mara has them!

Looks like I have some new things to try in a week! Glad I could help you form a list

The only thing I will add to my list of favorite things is a Disney caramel/candy apple. I get one of those every trip.

I used to love caramel apples...but now my old teeth is not so in love with them.

ok so it is a known fact that I love red velvet cake and cupcake to pieces it also known that I love popcorn just as much! SO most of my treats will include such

1) Disney popcorn cart at any location at any given time and yes they must pop fresh! that is the one thing I craved after I finished TOT 10-miler with a diet coke
2)Werthers freshly made Carmel Corn-Epcot Karmel Kuche now your talking...must be HOT AND FRESH

5) Sleepy Hollow Waffle Sundae or sandwich- I got to experience the pumpkin waffle one this time yum yum yummy :thumbsup2
6)Mickey Pretzels- YES YES YES!!! :thumbsup2
7) Rice krispie Treats covered in carmel and Chocolate- Main Street Bakery or Epcot Germany caramel and chocolate...oh my
8) Churro with caramel sauce- Mexican Pavillion in World showcase I tend to avoid all mexican food at WDW...that is a mainstay for me in everyday life...oh but I love me a churro
9)???
10)???
I have a confession I have not been able to get over to staring Rolls to eat the "World" famous red velvet cupcake and never made it by animal kingdom to get Zebra Domes so those could potentially be 9 and 10. Well me must fix that Starring Rolls problem you have...and if you join us Thursday night, Friday morning we are thinking of Boma for breakfast before the Expo...we could always sneak to the Mara which is just out the door from Boma and get a package of Zebra Domes.

So ... the only one of those snacks I've ever had is the Mickey Ice Cream bar. It's delicious enough that I don't feel a need to try anything else.
Oops?

Not holding that against you at all...I will gladly toast you with a Mickey Bar!

Mmmm...Snacks!

Looking through all my photos, it seems my husband and I drink more than we snack. I can't really come up with a top 10 as I don't think we've really eaten 10 different snacks in the past year, at least not ones I would have many times again - I avoided F&W Booths on purpose though except for my absolute favorite.

Tammie, I should have explained my family must have their brownie sundae and I eat the brownie but we stop there everytime for chocolate. I brought home pumpkin spice chocolate squares and caramel sauce to replicate caramel macchiato at home. But we must stop there for them on the brownie sundae!

Melissa, cheddar popcorn...popped fresh!!!! How did I miss that???
What kind of cupcake was BB-8?

It’s 5 O’Clock Friday
(Only 44 More Friday’s)
at Barefoot Pool Bar
in the POLY Resort

barefootPoolbar.jpg

In order to pass the time away, instead of Cupcake Friday’s we are going to take a look at cocktails around the world…since we are partly fueled by cocktails. Maybe we can find them a little more readily then the cupcake disappointment we experienced on our PHM Cupcake Crawl!

Where to go, where to go next…I love checking out resorts all over WDW so let’s hop a bus from the BW towards MK and then take the monorail or boat over to the POLY. I love the renovation to the lobby/main area of the of the POLY and we must go upstairs to the Tambu Lounge and get a lapu lapu of course...

5.JPG

Because we know it would not be a Cupcake trip without it spraying from my mouth thanks to the Tweedles! But our main mission needs to be checking out that pool that we have watched for a couple of trips now being built. While I know we can’t swim we can take a few sips and enjoy staring across to MK!

drink menu.jpg
MENU

I see lots of already familiar drinks from other places already visited, must find something new and unique!

So bartender…

Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a Pago Pago Pain Killer since I just ran a Half Marathon

It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

pago pago.jpg
Pago Pago Pain Killer…
What a great name for a drink the day AFTER a half marathon when the muscles really tell you about what you did the night before. It's made with
Myer's Original Dark Rum, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Cream of Coconut over Crushed Ice!

What are you having?

I am so glad you have cleared that up for me because I was really scratching my head on that one...
