I know it's been forever since I've been on DIS- just wanted to say I LOVE YOUR PAGES Tammie! Good job! I have set a goal of 3 pages per week for scrapbooking this year. Hoping that will help me catch up!

After busy season, I will try to hop on and contribute more-
 
133.19 in "Disney" Money!! Woo hoo!! That is fab. So I can start focusing on that now that Christmas is over. I literally 6 out of 7 kiddos gift cards for Christmas with all of my earnings. So now that Christmas shopping is over all of my fun money can go to my trip.

So much food and plans to think about. That BOG prime rib sandwich looks yum yum yum!! SO glad that we are going to be neighbors so not to big of a stretch to bar hop-TEHEHEHEHE!
 
I didn't bring enough Disney money. The expo took a lot of it and I have more things to do yet! I need to win the lottery or something to buy everything I want!

I'm doing a little but of Dis catching up on vacation.

After 6:30 time limit, you can still finish, but without race support. I also want to do the center of the universe detour at mile 26, which is a .3 detour where you get a cool coin...its also the shortest ultra marathon lol

I have to have a jalapeno cheese pretzel this trip!

They are sooooo good!! I get one every trip.

Sigh, it does not look like B&C is in the works for this trip...maybe marathon?

I saw your text about adding GF Breakfast to the mix...LOL...I am not a fan of 1900 Park Fare but maybe I could be persuaded to go back since bread pudding, strawberry soup, and lobster eggs benedict are on the buffet. LOL

Oh see, I knew the strawberry soup was at 1900, but I assumed the lobster eggs benedict was at Grand Floridian Café...that's where I wanted to go, not 1900 lol. I don't care for 1900 either...



I just had to tell you...It is totally a dream come true and for the price we got it! :jumping1:

Why did I not get a FitBit before now?

I am so in love with the little device and the challenge and motivation it gives me all day long. My little sister (who is a runner in all sense of the term…high school long distance state champion, college scholarship, yada yada yada) is making me really “STEP” up my game. She calls me her inspiration because after college (many moons ago) she basically stopped running and after seeing me (the avoid running at all costs sister) get into half marathons she decided to start running again. We did our first half marathon together (her first, my 6th)…okay let me say WE STARTED OUR FIRST HALF TOGETHER back in June at Estes Park (remember the mountain altitude and mountain “hills”)…she totally blew it out the park with a 2:08 time (given a flat course she would be under 2 hours no problem). Anyway long story short, she keeps challenging me each day with these step challenges…because she knows I am a stubborn sister and can’t let her beat me…I have really upped my STEPS and find myself forcing myself to get up and walk!

Kafi, Debra and several other Cupcakes use FitBit…beware ladies I am going to start challenges with you too!

I found the coolest app ever to help me with this goal…MyMisson…and it’s free! What you do is create a mission by plugging in your starting location and ending location and it calculates the distance for you using GoogleMaps and creates a map for you. You also step up a time frame to complete the mission and it calculates how much you have to complete each day to meet mission within the time frame you gave it. Then each time you complete mileage, you add to the progress page. Once you update your progress, the map then readjusts to show you where you are on the map and you can pull up a picture too! You also get a bunch of great little graphs and charts (distance, time, monthly progress, virtual information about where you are).

This has been me, as far as my running. Things just can't seem to come together. However, fitbit......Man, I love it and had fun with you this weekend, Tammie! It has kept the weight at bay and has forced me to step away from my computer as eventhough I am at home and have the flexibilty while the kids school, I still am prone to staying in my office and connected to my computer. Congrats on you and your sister reconnecting and sharing. I plan to get my sister one as well. She works in the recovery department in a college library and definetely needs to get up and move through out the day. Those miles are moving up already looks to be the making of a 100-200 plus mile month! Keep it up, Tammie!!

Yes I got everything I wanted. This weekend also made me want to do another rundisney event as soon as possible.

What are your goals for 2016?

Keep going and figure it out as I go along. I've decided that 2016 will be the "year of Sarah," but I'm still working out the kinks and figuring out how to make it my best year ever.

Do you have any lunch time favorites or dreams?

We always bring our own lunches. I think we did a lunch ADR once, but ... mostly we're not big lunch eaters and we don't like being tied to a schedule for lunch. Looks like you've got a lot of yummy options picked out, though!

Why did I not get a FitBit before now?

I pretty much felt the same way when I got mine. Although now I've had it for so long that I can barely remember life BF (before Fitbit). That little thing is amazing! I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying yours so much.

Ahhh...I know that area of 287 ALL TOO WELL!!! Made that little jaunt way too many times to count...and never knew you lived just an hour away, until years later when I had moved.
 
I love my Fitbit, but I have quickly learned that I cannot keep up with you lol!! Even coming back into a training cycle, it will be some work keeping up with your steps. I do love the challenges though, even if I don't do well, I am constantly inspired.

In order to pass the time away, instead of Cupcake Friday’s we are going to take a look at cocktails around the world…since we are partly fueled by cocktails. Maybe we can find them a little more readily then the cupcake disappointment we experienced on our PHM Cupcake Crawl!

We were last seen on the POLY beach with our pain killers in hand, so this week let’s stay at the POLY but check out the new place in town, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Hopefully by the time we get there in November the "newness" will have worn off and we can actually get in!

I know you do...funny how close we were and we are now! Too bad life has to get in the way too much to spend more time together!

I love my Fitbit, but I have quickly learned that I cannot keep up with you lol!! Even coming back into a training cycle, it will be some work keeping up with your steps. I do love the challenges though, even if I don't do well, I am constantly inspired.

Just like Kafi you have fallen into a stubborn competition between my little sister and myself...LOL. Good news is the last couple of days I have not FELT like it and I have really slacked! I need to get an attitude adjustment and get back focused!

We went to Trader Sam's while we were in Florida ... 35 minute wait to get in, so we just sat outside because it was late. I really want to go back and see the inside!!
Mixed drinks are a question mark for me because of my dietary restrictions, so it's usually just easier for me to get a beer. I actually really liked the Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale that I got last time ... I think I'd get that again. Or maybe try the beer flight.

An Entry from my Disney Food Bucket List

Trying to find ways to pass the next 287 days, so Wednesday is going to be officially called “Whet Your Appetite Wednesday” because “Cupcakes” like eating and most of this trip will be focused around Wine & Dine. Since the menus are not up for next year until the midSpring, I figured we could pass the time away with some of our favorite dining experiences or foods from around WDW!


This week we are finding ourselves at the Grand Floridian for a unique dining experience on my Disney Food Bucket list that I someday want to make time for, the Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. A little refinement and splurge, perfect for a girl’s running trip celebration…don’t you think?

I already know which tea I will have, the Princess Breakfast Tea (South African Organic Rooibos flavored with vanilla beans and a hint of strawberry). Very fitting for a Disney trip! And of course you must have a glass of bubbly too!

And of course we must finish with my dessert selection, the signature Strawberries and cream! Although I love the cream puff swans!

I think this totally is the way to spend an afternoon as Disney, away from the parks (along with maybe a spa treatment & massage at the GF).

I'm having Disney withdrawals because I am back to the cold and snowy Wisconsin after marathon weekend and don't have another trip planned any time soon.

COLD SNOWY...no Disney Trips planned I think you need to fix that problem.
