When I can finally talk to someone, I will verify the BC GV rooms are not apart of the discount and then I'll try for the AKL.

Well I think I'm going to not even ask about the BC GV room. I just tried it on the WDW website and it just has the FD for LV and higher. Since I've been on hold almost an hour, I don't want to waste anytime when I finally get a CM.

Hi Wookie, Last fall I was booking multiple rooms for family. I several of instances where what they showed on the website didn't match CRO, or vice versa. I think it's always worth trying both. I also deleted cookies, refreshed my browser frequently, too.

Ok, so I just got an email yesterday from a Disney travel company that deals with DVC only. When I priced it out, it looks like I could get a deluxe studio SV at AKV with the DxDP and PH tickets through UT for the same price as I'm paying right now for the PV room at AKL. Does anybody know anything about Stay at WDW? What would you do? If I cancel my reservation now, do I get the $200 deposit back?

Well after 3 hours on the phone, I didn't get my 1st choice (BC GV) or my 2nd (AKL PV BB), but I did get my 3rd (AKL PV). The DH has a 1/2 day in the field today, so he can be in the office the other 1/2 since his mom and dad have to return parts and he has to be in the office to baby sit his brother and make sure he works (sorry for the rant), so I'm going to go with him this morning. When I get back, I'll update my ticker with an AKL one.

wookie, editing my response to your post... congrats on getting AKL PV. You are a veteran of all things Disney so you know you can keep checking back for your first choice. There is a mad rush at the beginning of FD, and Disney will at times release more rooms under the promo. If not, still keep checking....as we all know people do *change* their reservations....

Absolutely.... you are more than 45 days out, right? Sounds like a good deal if you would like to experience DVD and get a SV room.

Oops...I meant SV as in Standard View. Lol. I didn't think about the fact that it could stand for Savannah View.

I checked with the company and they have availability at Jambo or Kidani, but the only thing they guarantee is standard view or savannah view. (I would love Jambo standard view and request pool view, but obviously they have more available at Kidani)

Hmmm...is there much difference between a standard room and a deluxe studio? The 1 BR is still over budget so that's not an option...

Congrates on your booking AKL PV! I agree keep checking for your first and second choices.

DznyCrzy11 - transportation is one of the reasons we haven't tried AKL. We are such huge park hoppers that we really like being on the monorail. But $600 is a nice amount of money and if you want to try AKL, then maybe it is worth the change.

Yes, that's the main reason we also have not stayed there. We go to about 2 parks each day. I also think we've been spoiled by stayed at a monorail resort. :/

We lost about 8 pins last year. I think I was more upset than Danimal! If you want when I get home I will link you to where I got them.

Dr. says I have thrush from my nebulizer and my allergies are very bad. Not throat cancer after all!

That's great to hear!!!! I understand the cancer scare, from family members and a personal scare.

Have a Drs Appt this afternoon so I spent the morning rethinking my trip plans and made a couple of Alternate ADRs in case I switch things up. I am second guessing my descison to skip SOA, mainly cause I have no idea what s to become of it once DVC is built??? I have fond memories of when we went as a family many years ago. Ugh Why can't I ever leave my plans as is? I even made a backup BOG then cancelled it.
