OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2010 THREAD - Let the countdown begin!

We leave in 56 days! Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Nov 1 - 7. We went 2 years ago in November and it is the perfect time of year to go!
We arrive late Monday night - will eat at the Mara at AKL that night.
ADR at Whispering Canyon (our only repeat dining place - we loved it last time!) Tue night
San Angel Inn Wed
Garden Grill Thur
Boma Fri
California Grill Sat - excited about this one for our last night! And MK is open until 1am so we will finish our trip strong!
Our plane leaves Sun morning at 8:30am so our shuttle will pick us up at 5:30am so we may not even go to sleep Sat night! Yikes!
Also, I called last week and got the $500 gift card added to our existing reservations so we are SO excited to have fun money to spend! Almost makes up for our week being blocked for the free dining!!!

We are going Nov 11-21.

We leave CA at 6 in the morning on the 11th and arrive in Orlando at 4:30. We are taking ME to CSR which is where we are staying. We have reservations for Fultons at DTD that first night. So we plan on doing a little shopping and having some dinner. Then our first day the 12th is MGM and we have ressies for Mama Melrose. We are doing free dinning and trying some places we have never been before.

Never have done Fulton's OR Mama Melrose.

Then on Sat the 13th we are going to MK and Tony's for dinner.
Sun the 14th we are doing the last day of F&W at Epcot and have no ADRS as we plan to eat our way around WS! ;)
Then Mon the 15th we are going back to MK and plan to eat at Narcosses at GF, another new one for us.

Then Tues the 16th AK and Boma. We have eaten here several times but this is one of our FAVS!!

Wed the 17th is our last day at the parks and we are back at Epcot and have a lunch ADR for Marakesh and a dinner ADR at Le Chef's de France. Been to both of these but love them both!

Then we check out and check IN to our timeshare and on Thurs we are going to IOA and have no dinning plans.

Fri we go to BBB in the morning and have a dinner ressie at Flying Fish at Boardwalk and are hoping to get some pics with a photopass photog.

Sat is open and Sun we fly home.

We are VERY excited!! :)

Yes, I checked and our seating at Mama Melrose is at 2:30pm. We will make this day our hearty breakfast day, then we plan to eat a nice meal there, and then later, after Fantasmic is over we'll head to downtown Disney for a light meal, either sandwiches at the Earl or perhaps a nice salad at Rainforest or T Rex. We'll have 2 hungry teenage boys with us, so there will be no skipping the evening meal. Another option would be to plan to eat in our villa kitchen (I know! novel concept) and then walk over to DTD for dessert!
I was able to get a 4:00 fantasmic package ressie for BD this week. I am nto sure how or why, but they had openings at BD and Mama Melrose when I called. I am hoping that it means they are adding a later showing of Fantasmic. 4:00 is going to cut it close for a 6:30 show.

Ok I'm going to steal this as well! I am sooo excited to go, here is our rundown:

11/13 - Sat: Arrive around noon - head over to Epcot and devour the food at F&W!
11/14 - Sun: MK - character breakfast at Cape May. Dinner at Boma
11/15 - Mon: Epcot - dinner at Biergarten
11/16 - Tue: day off - dinner at Coral Reef
11/17 - Wed: DHS or AK - dinner at Cape May
11/18 - Thur: DHS or AK - dinner at Le Cellier
11/19 - Fri: Open! Probably dinner at Big River - maybe check out - we love that place.
11/20 - Sat: Breakfast, and off to MCO.

Mind you, besides the ADR's, everything is kind of up in the air. We're taking our son who will be 22 months at the time - so he is basically going to be controlling our every move. But it should be a blast!!!

If you call dining, they will tell you wehther your 4:00 Brown Derby is for the 6:30pm Fantasmic or for a newly added later show.

New member here! This board, the food porn thread especially, has been an invaluable resource to me and my sister in planning the perfect Disney trip for 4 adults. We (mom, dad, me, sister) spent a week at Old Key West in a 2br Villa in May. Thanks to that food thread, and the DIS menus/reviews, we had the best week of food ever (parks were great too :) )

Well I am excited to say that we are now booked to spend a long weekend at the CBR Nov 19-22. They only had King beds left at the Mod. resorts (Winter room-only pin), so we are staying in the Pirate's room now!!

Nov 19: Epcot, hoping to eat at new place in Mexico
Nov 20: Epcot, Via Napoli lunch
Nov 21: MK, Liberty Tree, lunch (mmm Tavern cheese)

Never been during Christmas time, how do you all think the crowds will be that weekend?

I have never been during November, staying this year for the first time Nov 8-a3th, but you can check this site for free for their crowd calendar

^^Thanks! Looks like its a little bit more crowded the weekend we'll be there, but only Sunday, 11/21, is a 5. I guess it won't be too bad then. I wonder how that compares to the first week of May?

Great minds think alike!:cool1: I'm going to be there the same days. And we also have an early morning flight home on Sunday...9 am... we may see you on the shuttle. :wave2:

We have 59 days to go! So far, we have the following planned:

Monday, 11/8- arrive in Orlando around 2pm- then Epcot WS for F & W
Tues, 11/9- MK, then DTD- Earl of Sandwich for dinner
Wed, 11/10- DHS- dinner at Sci Fi, then Osborne Lights
Thur, 11/11- AK- lunch at Yak & Yeti. After close, do Campfire at Ft. Wilderness
Fri, 11/12- Epcot FW, then dinner at Teppan Edo (but will try to get ADR at the new Hacienda TS)
Sat, 11/13- MK- lunch at LTT- stay for MSEP and Wishes
Sun, 11/14- drive home

*Editing to add- we might switch the first and last day. If we don't leave for FL until after school on Monday, we will arrive at bedtime. Then we'll spend until about 3pm at Epcot on Sunday before heading home.

I'm typically more planned out, but for some reason this trip has alot of situations to deal with. We are booked for CBR for Nov 12- Nov 20 with free dining. And I have tons of ADR's done, but still can't make up my mind on several of them, of when we should do them. Because of 4 things. One is that I really want to see Fantasmic, haven't seen it in our last 3 trips, but it is only on Sun and Thurs of when we are there, and I wasn't planning on DHS those days. Then there is the electrical light parade, which I really want to see, but is only going on Sat and Wed of when we are there, and I had plans for other parks those days. Next is our lunch ADR at LeCellier, which makes changing parks around so hard, because you can't get that any other time. And last can't decide if we are going to fly or not, and that affects an ADR on our arrival day. UGH.

We hadn't planned on getting park hoppers, but it is looking like that is going to be the best bet, to deal with the scheduling problems. We just don't typically park hop, so I kinda see it as a waste of money. And of course I had all this planned out and then UG changing their crowd numbers to include numbers at each park, really threw me for a loop. Because I just really want to see what the MK would be like at a .8 or DHS at a .4, so that is just adding more issues. :confused3

This is my first time ever using TP and then with the added per park crowd level I just you became a little crazed over days showing very low park crowd levels. I had our weeks schedule planned out since May and then just the beginning of this week I ended up switching our last 2 days since MK had a lower crowd level on Friday instead of Sat and AK showed lower on Sat instead of Fri
Fantasmic is only showing Sun and Thur my week too and so far only one show listed, I did plan our DHS for that Thurs even though crowd levels were a bit higher because of Fantasmic but I am hopeing they extend the park hours and add a second show , if not my plan is to see OL during Fantasmic and skip it this year even though I have never seen it I want to see OL more hopeing the crowds there will be thinner during the showing of Fantasmic

ADR's do make changeing around days difficult, now I have a later breakfast at CP 9:20am but I will keep checking maybe I will get lucky and snag an earlier one, T-Rex I had to call direct since online there was nothing available when I switched days. I have the same issue as you with Le Cellier so I could not think of changeing my Epcot days.

I am going the week before you here's hopeing for low crowds and good weather

Yep, hopes of low crowds and good weather for the both of us. And I keep telling myself, come on the whole week we are there the numbers are like 1 and 2 and up to like 3 or so on specific park days, so why am I stressing. It's just that part of me wants to see an almost empty park, where not only are there low waits for rides, but also low waits for characters and so on.

If you were going the same week as us, then I probably would have been able to help you with a CP ADR, because I have two both before nine on different days, still deciding on which I want. And I really want a dinner for LeCellier, but that ain't happening, we have a lunch right now.

The week before Thanksgiving is a GREAT time to go! Such low crowds, it's great!

^^Thanks! Looks like its a little bit more crowded the weekend we'll be there, but only Sunday, 11/21, is a 5. I guess it won't be too bad then. I wonder how that compares to the first week of May?

I'm not sure what the crowd levels were for May, but I went in May from the 6th-11th this year and I'm expecting the crowds for November to be much less than they were in May! I went the 14-20th last year and the crowds were SO low, it was fantastic! And this year I'm going the same week, from the 12th-20th! I can't wait!

I'm heading to the Beach Club for a conference the weekend before Thanksgiving. Although most of my time will be spent in meetings, I still plan on visiting the parks in the evenings. :yay:

I love reading everyone's schedules for it gives me more ideas pertaining to my own. Just a short 63 days to go Yahhh!
11/13- We arrive that am to the AKV-just going to take it easy and maybe downtown disney that evening.
11/14-MK-Crystal Palace for lunch and Wishes Dessert Party that evening.
11/15-HS-Sci-Fi Diner for lunch and Boma for dinner.
11/16-Epcot-Biergarten for lunch
11/17-AK-Tusker House for lunch
11/18-MK-CRT for breakfast. Ohana's for dinner
11/19-Last day, going to let the kids choose park(Epcot or HS) for half day. Early dinner at 1900 Park Fare and the MMVMCP after dinner.
11/20-Headed home (sad moment)

:cheer2:

I'm heading to the Beach Club for a conference the weekend before Thanksgiving.

That conference wouldn't also be the one that has blocks at CSR would it?

I'm kind of hoping that not all the rooms get booked in the block and that they will get released to public sometime soon. Do y'all have a "book by" time?

Thanks. Enjoy your time there, and do make sure you get out to the parks for a little bit at least.

Cheers.

Just booked for the 14th-19th, bummed it's not a full week, but my job is apparently more important than Disney. Not sure I agree with that, but it is what it is :lmao:
