OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2010 THREAD - Let the countdown begin!

Hi guys 84 days to go! Just an FYI for anyone still looking for dining ressies for November. I was able to book Le Cellier, Coral Reef, and Ohana over the last 3 days, so spots are opening up!

That's awesome. I have been trying for dinner at Le Cellier, we have lunch resi, but would like dinner. But still none for us right now. But I won't give up hope.

I'm hoping that we won't regret this, but we opted to save over 700 bucks on our trip by staying in one room at CBR instead of a family suite at ASMu. It's my DH, DM, DS and I. I just couldn't pass up saving that much money and on top of that getting an awesome pool, which we haven't never been to before.

Was planning to go whenever my daughter's fall break was scheduled. Every year the teachers at her school go to a conference and school is closed for a few days. It's at a different time each year though, so I had to wait until I found out the dates to schedule it.

This year the conference is the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving so school is closed that entire week. We're leaving here that Monday, November 22nd. Knowing my child as I do, I got us an early flight so we could hit MK the first day.

Her main thing about Disney World is to see characters so I scheduled several character meals. The trip is a surprise for her. She's been asking to go to Disney World for 3 years and I can't wait to see her face when she finds out she's actually going.

We're staying at All Star Movies November 22nd through 27th

Right now it's shaping up like this.

November 22: day 1 arrival in Orlando, MK, dinner at Crystal Palace
November 23: day 2 breakfast at Chef Mickey's, MK
November 24: day 3 breakfast at Hollywood and Vine, DHS, dinner at Akershus, Illuminations ?
November 25: day 4 Thanksgiving at Epcot, dinner at 1900 Park Fare
November 26: day 5 breakfast at Tusker House, AK, dinner at Cape May Cafe
November 27: day 6 flight home-no park

So excited. Especially looking forward to seeing the lights. Didn't find out until after we booked that they would be up during our stay.

I noticed on the November Calendar http://www.easywdw.com/wp-content/u...november-2010-disney-world-crowd-calendar.pdf
that there is no MVMCP during our week (Thanksgiving week). Is this usual? When I called up making ressies, the CM asked me if I was interested in MVMCP and I said No. I'm not. This is totally a save $ trip. No extras. But I was wondering if maybe they'll add it later or its normally not given during Thanksgiving week.:confused3

I'll just be happy with Osbourne Lights and any other holiday freebies such as the gingerbread house at GF and the chocolate carousel at BC and the big HUGE tree at WL.

MVMCP does not run Thanksgiving week, from what I understand it has always been that way, I think the last one before is on the Friday of the previous week and then the Sunday after Thanksgiving is the next one

We are doing CBR for the first time this year. We normally do CSR for the queen beds, but my FD pin was booked for CSR over Thanksgiving. We are excitedto try a new resor. The rooms are a bit bigger at CBR than those of the other mods os you would have a little more room. I saw someone els post thier plan so here is mine:
11/19- Late arrival at CBR
11/20 Sat MK, BBB, Tony's dinner
11/21 Sun AK, hop to Epcot of Akerhsus Dinner
11/22 Mon Epcot, Coral Reef Lunch, Pirates and Pals cruise
11/23 Tues DHS, Brown Derby Dinner
11/24 Wed MK Ohana Diner
11/25 Thurs DHS Sci-Fi Lunch
11/26 Fir Epcot Le Cellier Dinner
11/27 MK Plaza Lunch- Head home in the afternoon:sad1:

We are headed to the BWV Nov 15th. We have never stayed at a Deluxe before and are sooo excited!

This is our fifth trip, and DH is already planning the 6th.

For the first time, we got into Chef Mickey's!!!

Doing the Backyard BBQ this time instead of the Hoop Dee Doo. Any thoughts from OPs who have been?

Just booked this week for Nov 13-17. This is the first time I've booked a trip so late. I usually book at least a year ahead, but DH said okay when I jokingly suggested WDW for our fall trip. We are staying at CSR for the first time, and we've never been in Nov. I'm nervous and excited about this trip.

We have stayed at CSR for the last 2 Thanksgivings, and we LOVE it. It is such a relaxing place to be and we love the QUEEN BEDS!!! We stayed in Cabanas last year and loved that location. We were in 8A, the building closest to the pool! We are doing CBR this year, because CSR was sold out for the pin code we used to book. We are excited to be trying something new, but a little nervous too. We were planning a March trip over Mardi Gras, but that didn't work out between blackouts for FD and my work schedule so we ended up changing it not long ago. I am also usually booked well in advance too so it was definitley different doing ADR's after 180.

Hi, is your Brown Derby dinner on Tuesday a Fantasmic Package? We have the Fantasmic package that day for Mama Melrose but we're eating fairly early as Fantasmic is scheduled for 6:30pm.

Our first trip ever -Nov 18-22 at the Poly. So excited, I've learned so much from everyone on the Board!:goodvibes

Nope, we booked too late to get a package. We are hoping they will do what they did last year and add a later fantasmic show. If not we will catch it on our other studios day. All the packages for the 6:30 show seat at 4:30 or earlier. we did a BD package last year at 4:00.

I thought it was weird how CSR is not available for any of the times of FD, or at least from the various different days I tried. It made me think that Disney had done it on purpose, maybe black out those days at CSR. Who knows.

Yes, I checked and our seating at Mama Melrose is at 2:30pm. We will make this day our hearty breakfast day, then we plan to eat a nice meal there, and then later, after Fantasmic is over we'll head to downtown Disney for a light meal, either sandwiches at the Earl or perhaps a nice salad at Rainforest or T Rex. We'll have 2 hungry teenage boys with us, so there will be no skipping the evening meal. Another option would be to plan to eat in our villa kitchen (I know! novel concept) and then walk over to DTD for dessert!

The Pin code for FD is what I used to book CSR. I booked it the day after I got the PIN. It was for black-out dates into thanksgiving week.

When I booked the CM told me there were only 4 rooms left that were allocated under that PIN code at CSR.:confused3

We booked at POP then upgraded to POFQ. We will be there Nov12-20. Woohoo cannot wait. We have not stayed there in years. Infact POFQ was the first resort we stayed at. :thumbsup2 . Cannot believe it has been so long ago. Wow time sure goes quick:eek:
