I agree. I'm most interested to see if they do anything with hotels at Disneyland.
Indeed, I've been eagerly watching that too! Unlike the WDW that probably won't be Deluxe, Disneyland will probably be a 4 Star or 4 Diamond. That's Disney Hotels at their finest! We haven't seen a new Domestic Deluxe Disney Hotel since 2001. I'd be fascinated to see what they'd bring to the table. A more highly themed hotel like Grand Californian, or a more lightly themed one like Disneyland Hotel.
It's also just cool to see how they manage property there too...
This poster is pretty on point, and for what it's worth:

Update: In order to avoid further thread drift, I'll just add a little here
@lockedoutlogic.
Your original thesis against hotels was Disney doesn't want to hire labor. Then it morphed into the idea of not seeing the returns necessary/the Disney that built hotels is gone. Now that the Disney of today has just stated their interest in hotel building, you say they couldn't do it even if they wanted to. Why? Because recession is inbound.
I think this is going to go down like SW Land and DHS work. It won't be an accepted idea up until it's announced. That's fine. I just think WDW will have meaningful hotel capacity additions. Universal is adding. Sea World is adding. Marriott is adding. Hilton is adding.
Consider this...
Out of the total hotel inventory of 25,400 rooms, 2,400 hotel rooms are Disneyland Resort rooms. Those other 23,000 WDW hotel rooms are the majority of Disney's inventory. Then consider 92% Occupancy. Those Disneyland hotel rooms may be carrying weight. I'm sure they are. But those numbers aren't all Disneyland's. Walt Disney World is performing the best they have in years.
Disneyland will almost certainly add rooms. I'm also certain there's room for Walt Disney World too.
