Just thought I'd share some photos of B yesterday, while we were waiting at the hospital for her port-removal surgery. She always has so much fun in the waiting room that she never wants to leave! Even though surgery was late by an hour, she was having such a great time, she didn't even notice that she had yet to eat breakfast or lunch!
Here she is with Daddy, playing a boardgame.
In recovery, enjoying a popsicle and her Ariel balloon. At the foot of the bed are the tissue-paper flowers she made with one of the Child Life Specialists.
Before, when she was making the flowers, I tried to explain to B what a bouquet was and she was admant that they weren't a bouquet, they were flowers. I kept telling her that when you put a bunch of flowers together, they made up a bouquet.
When we were leaving, I was packing up and handed her the bunch and told her not to forget her flowers. She replied, quite indigantly: ''They're not flowers, Mom. It's a Boo-quet.'' LOL!!
We opted to leave the dolls in the trunk of the car rather than bring them inside while she was in surgery. The box is huge and would have just been one more thing to carry out of the hospital. So, we gave it to her in the parking lot. Not very elegant, I admit, but much more practical.
She was thrilled and immediately started naming off the princesses. Wish I had a photo of her face! Hubby was already pulling out the box when I arrived and I only remembered the camera in the nick of time!
She held the box on her lap the entire car ride home. Then, at home she proceeded to play 'Ariel's birthday' with the balloon and the dolls. All of the princesses were going to Ariel's party where they promptly traded shoes and tiaras.
She very generously (or so she thought) allowed Avie to play with Belle and Tiana.
And, finally, here is our little heroine during our little pizza dinner last night. She wanted pizza for dinner and after a day at the hospital, I wasn't interested in making anything for supper--so pizza it was! Followed by Pillsbury Apple Turnovers. (That's what's in her hand.) Please excuse the pizza sauce face! Love that kooky kid.
