How much is your 2013 WDW vacation going to cost you?

Oct 12-19

Beach Club 4 adults (5 adult pay though) 6 kids (1 is adult pricing)
2 rooms
Disney dining plan
7 day with park hopper

16,000. Yep. 16
In desperate need of discounts and of course they blacked out those dates for dining. Yeah.

Ouch! Are you totally set on BC? You may want to check on renting DVC points.
.

We went for our 30th anniversary last year around your same time, October 6th through 13th. Got no discounts, except a minimal Triple A for our Contemporary Theme Park Room. With just the two of us, we paid about half what you're paying for your Beach Club room.

But, special occasion, hadn't been since our Honeymoon. At that price, will never go back again.

A friend, though, went first week in May using the Southwest Airlines Vacation package. Stayed at Port Orleans. Three adults, airfare. Doubt any meal plan, though may have done Park Hopper. Don't know what they paid, but doubt it was anywhere near our 7K sticker price!

Sure it'll coast us a tank of gas to drive up (yes I said UP) and back but I would've used that in my daily commute to and from work for the week. So I didn't include it.

Well, I did it! I booked our May, 2013 vacation the morning the rates came out. Even though I already had a figure in my mind of what the vacation was going to cost and I was only $50 off, I still had a bit of sticker shock.

How bout the airfare ? :rolleyes1

Syndrome

We're driving to save $$$. We figured that gas would be less than flying in our case. :-)

Thats smart ........ how many miles ?
We have given up on driving .........we are approx 1000 miles each way. The wear and tear on our bodys, and the loss of precious vacation time changed our minds. We used always drive :drive: . Now we fly.

Syndrome

Is it bad that I read all of these, but I cannot bring myself to total mine up? I do not want to know...
