Fit in February Exercise Challenge!

Hello fellow WISHers! Welcome to the shortest month of the year... Whether you are working towards a short-term or longer-term weight-loss goal or just want to feel stronger and more healthy - we are going to GET IT DONE in February! And since February is also the month with Valentine's Day in it, here's my spin.

Each day this month I challenge you to make good decisions towards taking care of yourself and loving yourself. Sometimes we spend so much time focusing on what we need to lose (pounds) that we forget to appreciate what we gain when we exercise regularly and eat healthy and drink lots of water and get adequate sleep... With each step you take, each weight you lift, each yoga pose you hold, you are telling yourself that you care enough about yourself and those who depend on you to invest your precious time. With each minute, you are getting stronger and healthier in mind, body, and soul.

So pick a goal of total minutes for the month and post it below. It can be anything you want. From 10 minutes to 2,000 and beyond. For February, 30 minutes a day is 840 minutes. Then continue to post throughout the month including what you've been up to for your exercise minutes along with your total so far for the month. I'll continue to update this post with everyone's progress.

When you achieve:

10% of your goal, your color will change to Blue
25% will bump you up to Orange
at 50%, we'll celebrate by turning you Purple
at 75%, you will become a Great Gray Go-Getter!!
In keeping with tradition, you be Red at 90% (cuz you're on fire!)
and you'll be Wish Green upon achieving your goal.

I'm sticking with my 30 min a day goal this month while I work through the next 4 weeks of P90x3. So far I haven't missed a single workout of the program, which is astounding to me. So this is a big deal for me, even though the total # of minutes isn't crazy high - 840 for the month.

I'm making a secondary goal, non-exercise related, of entering all of my daily food into my app. When I do, I lose. When I don't, I don't lose. I did really well for the first 3 weeks of January until chaos occurred at the end of last week. I've got to get back to it.

I struggled too, hmack. And I really wanted to start the new year having reached my goal. So I'm like you - with February being a short month, I need to set a manageable goal.

Please put me down for 700 minutes.

I'm shooting for 840 minutes this month. I fell short of my goal last month as life got in the way towards the end and I wasn't able to catch back up. It would be much easier if I could go outside to exercise, but the snow, ice and frigid temps keep that from happening.
 


I'm going to stick with the same goal I had for January ... hopefully I can still meet it despite the shorter month.

I was going to stay at 1500 for this month, but what the heck, gunning for 2000 this month. :thumbsup2

I didn't make it last month - and the first 2/3 of this month I'll be taking it easier (ish) for my event - so I'm going for 1000 this month.

I've already run a 5K race today, and another 3 miles in the snow, so I am up to 53/1000 :woohoo:

Good morning everyone! I'm just popping in to say that I'm going to wait a few more days before starting the list on the first page to give people a chance to sign up. So don't think I've forgotten about you all - keep exercising and keep posting those minutes!

For me, I did 30 min of MMX (kickboxing) p90x3 yesterday. First time with that workout. yowsers, my upper body is protesting this morning. Decided to postpone today's workout until tonight and take some aleve today first!
