Favorite Little Thing?

While waiting around on deck 4 at Castaway Cay to get off the ship, Goofy showed up and put on quite the show with my 6 yr old son getting into and out of a lounge chair on deck. I can still hear him laughing. DW and I laughed an awful lot too.

While at dinner the kids club cast comes and picks up the kids while the adults finish dinner. Makes having dinner so much more enjoyable!

Our most magical time was when we were waiting in a character line. Rupuzel came and took my daughter and her friend to the near by window and for the half hour they talked and whispered secrets to each other. They looked out the window at one point to see if they see Ariel in the ocean. It was so cute. My daughter still remembers it.
Also when we saw the same princes from a year earlier and she remembered our daughters name.

wow!

The maintenance crew.

Our first cruise was a 5 night Double Dip. When we pulled into CC I noticed the maintenance crew cleaning everything. I remember thinking it was a bit overkill on the cleaning. Our next port was Nassau. Again, the maintenance crew were busy cleaning everything. Again, I thought "why, you just did that". When we got back from our excursions on Nassau, I noticed the ship docked next to the Dream was very dirty looking. When we got to our stateroom verandah I started looking around. The maintenance crew on the Dream were very busy cleaning everything everywhere. There was no one cleaning anything on the other ship. The other ship looked so dirty and sad.

Wow this is incredible! We had a similar experience with Captain Jack on our sailing in January, we were doing a back to back on the Dream, and we met Jack on our 'second' cruise. He turned to my sister and me and said, 'I remember you both ' and we both said we were doing a back to back sailing, and he turned to both of us and said 'No, I remember you from last year on another cruise'. Im amazed with how many people they would meet onboard that they would remember individuals. It was wonderful. I always find the character meet and greets onboard so much more special onboard the cruise ships :)

I enjoy getting ice cream and watching a movie on the funnel vision before bed. Very relaxing!

There are a few big round "pod chairs" in the adult pool areas. DH and I are completely obsessed. I'm not going to admit how long I've sat/lounged in one reading a book on sea days. :)
After four cruises, we found these chairs on our last one. AND LOVED THEM! I keep saying I want to get one for home!

Two instances come to mind...
1) I lost a lot of weight and wanted my first 5K to be memorable so of course I chose to do the Castaway Cay 5K. I actually really wanted the Tshirt (which, imo, is way cuter than the ones that have had recently ;) ) but I wanted to earn it - not just buy it. The race wasn't that hard other than I didn't factor in the heat and humidity which nearly killed me! First of all, the lovely cast member waited for me to finish and cheered me on the whole way until I finished...dead last! So I proudly go to buy my shirt and THERE AREN'T ANY!!! (backordered...CM said I'd have to come back to Castaway Cay to get one one because at the time they were not able online either). I was SO disappointed. Fast forward, my dh and I run into Brent later that night on the ship who inquires about our cruise. I tell him everything has been amazing except for my 5K shirt experience. He takes down my room number and sizes we wanted and tells me he will look into it. A week or so after we get home, guess what arrives in the mail??? Yep! the cutest shirt ever! Due to bad knees and feet, I have not run a 5K since so the T shirt is pretty special to me. We were so impressed!

2) Last cruise in Oct 2014, my dh and I are sitting in chairs down by the water at Serenity Bay just taking it all in. I go back to our lounge chair for a minute and when I turn around I see Jack Sparrow in his full costume drunkenly strolling down the beach towards my dh. I kept yelling at my dh to turn around but he can't hear me so Jack tells me not to worry, that he would fetch him so he stumbles down to the water and escorts him over to where I am and then proceeds to take pictures of all of us. It was hilarious!

The special Disney moments are what make sailing with Disney worth the extra money! Great memories!

On our first cruise we arrived at one of the ports and it was raining and as we were leaving the boat they handed us Disney rain ponchos.
On our next cruise which was my husbands first cruise he mentioned that he liked Indian food the next night there was an Indian spread of food waiting for him.
My daughter said one night she wanted nothing for dessert and they produced a plate with a chocolate design on it that said nothing.

Jack did this for us in December, 2013. My wife was out in the water when Jack came stumbling down the beach. I was trying to get her attention. He joined in, saying, "Don't worry sir. I will fetch her", got her attention and she waded ashore for our picture.
