Once we got our Palo ressie, stalked the bride to be, and had our first DOTDs, it was now 1:30 and time to go check out our cabin!!!
Look! More booze!!!! Who knows us???
It's Laura!!!! We missed you, too, Laura!!! Thank you!
I wanted to take this print home. After the NYE Fantasy cruise, I just need to get on the Wonder and I'll have hit all four!!!!
Once we dropped off our carryons, it was time to explore..... First things first, where are the adult only areas????
Here is the Quiet Cove Pool, adults only, thank you very much. A lot different than on the Magic, some good, some not so good.
Good? It has a swim up bar. Well, since the water is only about 6" deep by the bar, I'd said it's a splash up bar. That is nice. Bad? Because it's only 6" deep that water is HOT!
Not a lot of sun over the Quiet Cove Pool - they really took that "cove" seriously. And because there's not much sun, there's not much breeze. Or air. In fact, it's downright HOT in this whole area!
Unless you are in the water. Which, unlike the 4' depth on the Magic, this is about 5 1/2', so too deep for most of us to stand, which meant that everyone was clinging for dear life to the side of the pool.
Unless you were in the seating area..... That's another story. We'll come back to that....
Upon first glance, the Quiet Cove Pool looks really nice. Once there, however, I think I would take the very "plain" Quiet Cove on the Magic over the "pretty" Quiet Cove on the Dream.....
Nemo's Reef - I think this is the only place where toddlers can wear the swim diapers in the water? Great idea for the little ones, and very colorful, too!
The concierge sundeck:
We peeked....
Looking down on the Vibe pool. Great idea to give kids their own "private" pool area (that can be checked out by parents from above... sshhhh, don't tell the kids and hope they never look up!!!).
After all the snooping around, we were whooped! So we found a nice shady spot on deck and kicked back for a few..... And while this seemed to be a GREAT area in the beginning, it quickly became known as the 666 deck. We'll fill you in later....
Checking out my ride for next spring break!!!!
As much as I love DCL, I'm really excited for this ship next year!!!!
Checking out the Edge for Ally next time....
Almost time for....
But first, we need to teach some newbies how to grab some flotsam and save themselves if icebergs cross our path!!!!
