For their last meal of the trip, Lori & Sue went to Animal Kingdom Lodge to have breakfast at...

    BOMA

Sorry the pic didn't come out very well. But I bet Lori will have a better non-cell phone picture included in her Dining Report.
So be sure to check that out. Here's the LINK.

Lori said, "This was a slight nod to Tusker House for me. Boma was very good, but I think Tusker House is better. I feel like it has more options than Boma."

Sadly this is Lori's last update of the trip, as she is now on her way to the airport to fly home. :sad1:

So on behalf of everyone here,

    Thank you, Lori! :flower3:

Oh, and don't forget to see Lori's (vettegirl) Dining Report for all the details of her trip. :thumbsup2

Barb - thanks so much for posting our updates! Let clarify on Kona, dh and dh's BOTH ordered a big kahuna! We had a few bites of pancake left but overall, the plates were pretty clean. My clan likes breakfast. I would actually prefer to have a yogurt and then a big lunch but I am often overruled on vacation. In fact, I just scored a Tusker House reservation for breakfast on Wed.

So far our dining has been a huge surprise. I expected to love Kona and it was just good, not great. Partly, I blame myself. I was called to those pineapple macadamia nut pancakes because of all the great reviews on here. But actually, I prefer savory to sweet so I should have ordered something else. They were ok but not the best pancakes I have ever had. The bacon was good and crispy though and the coffee was wonderful.

Liberty Tree Tavern was a huge surprise. In fact, we intended to cancel this ADR. But we ended up paying oop for breakfast and decided to go ahead and sit down for lunch. I am so glad we did. The food was great. I shared the pot roast with ds and loved it. Dh let me try his turkey and it was also really good. And the hype over the toffee cake is right on! YUM!

I am sitting at the pool right now having a strawberry daiquiri (dh picked my drink lol. This isn't what I would have ordered but it's good!). We are headed back to MK later tonight.

Thanks so much for checking in here, Lacey! :thumbsup2 I'll get the Big Kahuna thing changed, lol. ;)

And I envy you, as I would love a strawberry daiquiri right about now! :lmao:

We're going there next Sunday morning! They have a great breakfast!

I know! That's why I have abandoned TRs, and have been MIA! DH got promoted and transferred here, I transferred stores--just had to change cosmetic lines, and we've been here a month! I had to prepare and pack all summer, and didn't spend much time online.

Today we went to Epcot's 30th Bday for a bit. I got "chocolate wasted" with Ghiradelli's drinking chocolate, we checked out the Chase Visa lounge, and walked around a bit. Here's a few pix for today!

Rachel sent me her final update from the airport this morning. :sad1:

Last night, Rachel & family were at the Contemporary Resort to have dinner at...

    CALIFORNIA GRILL

    Heirloom Tomato BLT Flatbread
with Marinated Tomatoes, Applewood Bacon, Chiffonade Romaine, and Lemon Mayonnaise

Rachel said, "Thanks for recommending this Barb. We really enjoyed the BLT flatbread. The bacon and tomatoes were sweet and the mayo was sour. A nice contrast of flavors."

    (Head-on ;) ) Jumbo Tiger Prawns
with Creamy White Corn Tasso Grits, Fried Okra, Espellette Vinaigrette

(Didn't they do a great job of hiding those beady little eyes with the garnish? ;))

Rachel said, "I didn't eat another dish other than the flatbread but Brian chose these prawns. I was surprised this was his choice and sorry I don't have a good description. I will use his country boy description, which was "big shrimp over grits." Can't wait to see how Cali Grill's description compares to his." :lmao:

Note from jabead: I'd say that Brian nailed it! :thumbsup2

    Heather's Chocolate Sampler
Marshmallow Whoopie Pies, Chipotle Chocolate Cupcake, Peanut Butter Buckeye Pop, and Valrhona Mint Chocolate Cup

Rachel said, "This was heaven for a milk chocolate lover like me. The cake was my favorite!"

Sadly this is the end of Rachel's trip, so on behalf of everyone here...

    THANKS SO MUCH, RACHEL!!! :goodvibes

Oh, and don't forget to check out Rachel's (Smiling Cheshire Cat) Dining Report to hear about all the details of her trip! :thumbsup2

    RAGLAN ROAD

    Appetizer:

Get your kissing done before this dish arrives.

I could have eaten that as an entree."

Cluck Curry - Chicken breast in curry broth with onions, peppers, leeks & steamed almond rice.

sarabear said, "This was huge! I loved it but could only eat about half."

    And for dessert...

    Dunbrody Kiss
Chef Dundon’s gift to America. Chocolate.
And more chocolate, then add some more

sarabear said, "That's all the pics I have. I didn't take pics of food & wine, but I'm going to write about that and post it in the thread once I get home and can use my laptop."

And so that's all for now from sarabear, as she is currently on a flight home. :sad1:

On behalf of everyone here... :thanks:

I can't believe that Via Napoli is charging $7 per person for a salad these days. That is ridiculous!! It was $4 per person when they opened. So our table of 9 will have to fork out $63 for salad.....I don't think so! :headache:
