Lori said, "This was a slight nod to Tusker House for me. Boma was very good, but I think Tusker House is better. I feel like it has more options than Boma."​

Braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables

Pilgrims' Feast
Traditional roast turkey with herb bread stuffing, mashed potatoes and a green beans
(for DH)

Angus Chuck Cheeseburger - topped with bacon and cheddar cheese and served with tavern fries

Then they all shared three desserts...

Martha Washington's Cake - a slice of rich chocolate cake, layered with a liberating chocolate coffee icing

Liberty Tree Tavern was a huge surprise. In fact, we intended to cancel this ADR. But we ended up paying oop for breakfast and decided to go ahead and sit down for lunch. I am so glad we did. The food was great. I shared the pot roast with ds and loved it. Dh let me try his turkey and it was also really good. And the hype over the toffee cake is right on! YUM!

Their ratings for this meal: Lacey - 9, DH - 10, DD13 - 9.5, DS - 10, and DD8 - 9.

Big Kahuna
French Toast, pancakes, eggs your way, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage (this was shared by DH and DS)

Barb - thanks so much for posting our updates! Let clarify on Kona, dh and dh's BOTH ordered a big kahuna! We had a few bites of pancake left but overall, the plates were pretty clean. My clan likes breakfast. I would actually prefer to have a yogurt and then a big lunch but I am often overruled on vacation. In fact, I just scored a Tusker House reservation for breakfast on Wed.

So far our dining has been a huge surprise. I expected to love Kona and it was just good, not great. Partly, I blame myself. I was called to those pineapple macadamia nut pancakes because of all the great reviews on here. But actually, I prefer savory to sweet so I should have ordered something else. They were ok but not the best pancakes I have ever had. The bacon was good and crispy though and the coffee was wonderful.

CALIFORNIA GRILL

Heirloom Tomato BLT Flatbread
with Marinated Tomatoes, Applewood Bacon, Chiffonade Romaine, and Lemon Mayonnaise


Rachel said, "Thanks for recommending this Barb. We really enjoyed the BLT flatbread. The bacon and tomatoes were sweet and the mayo was sour. A nice contrast of flavors."

(Head-on ) Jumbo Tiger Prawns
with Creamy White Corn Tasso Grits, Fried Okra, Espellette Vinaigrette
(Didn't they do a great job of hiding those beady little eyes with the garnish? )




Rachel said, "I didn't eat another dish other than the flatbread but Brian chose these prawns. I was surprised this was his choice and sorry I don't have a good description. I will use his country boy description, which was "big shrimp over grits." Can't wait to see how Cali Grill's description compares to his."

I can't believe that Via Napoli is charging $7 per person for a salad these days. That is ridiculous!! It was $4 per person when they opened. So our table of 9 will have to fork out $63 for salad.....I don't think so!
