Post #4 and Post #6 on first page are now complete regarding three of our "inaugural" live reporters.
With all the recent discussion of Le Cellier, now I'm more curious than ever to see how their lunch menu changes in January (once it becomes a 2-TS meal, like dinner).
Good point, I'd forgotten about that
Personally I just don't regard LC as being in the same league as say, Jiko or Yachtsman
I wonder if people will be willing to spend two credits on a lunch at LC when for the same credits they could have dinner at the updated California Grill whilst watching the fireworks?
Holy cow! I will be there tonight - woooohooo!
I don't think I can do quite the job that Ginamarie and Alice and Snow just did but I will try and send something!
Yeah, we had lunch at LC and I kept eying the menu thinking that it will need a huge overhaul. I love my mushroom filet, but it's not nearly the same size/value/service as we got at Yachtsman, and if the prices jump to $40+/steak, it's going to price me out.
Alice & Snow attended MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom on Friday night and had this snack...
Chili Cheese Fries - French fries served with melted cheese and chili, plus lettuce added.
Alice didn't say, but I'm thinking these came from Pecos Bill's. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Alice.
Yesterday Alice & Snow were at Animal Kingdom, where they had lunch at...
YAK & YETI
Wok-Fried Green Beans - Battered green beans with sweet Thai chili sauce
Pork Pot Stickers - Pan seared with soy lime dipping sauce.
Alice said, "The pot stickers were quite good and the green beans were addictive! Although I do love a good sweet chili sauce."
Crispy Honey Chicken - Tempura chicken, broccoli, carrots and honey sauce.
Alice said, "We both had the crispy honey chicken. I always order this, but I was disappointed with it this time. Nothing I can even put my finger on, just the overall taste was a bit blah."
Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons with vanilla ice cream and honey vanilla drizzle
Alice said, "For dessert we both had the wontons. They were delish as always!! I really enjoy this dessert, although be warned it is RICH."
Sadly this was Alice BlueBonnet's final update of her trip, as yesterday was her last day at Disney World. And yesterday was also Ginamarie's departure day.
So on behalf of everyone here, I just wanted to say...
Congratulate you both on a job very well-done.
I'm gone for a couple days and look what happens!!! There are so many updates - Yay for the live reports and THANKS to Jabead for taking on this huge job!!
You have done an awesome job filling in the blanks for all manner of food, menus, back stories and for my portion keeping track of my 9 dismeets!! Hmmm.... you actually have a clue on #9 since following our Kona breakfast you looked up what I thought was his user name but apparently I didn't hear correctly!!
This is so awesome!!
THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!!
Wishing Basketlacey a wonderful trip and many happy food photos!!!
After a day of bad cell phone service, Lori was able to send some updates our way this morning.
Yesterday Lori & Sue were at Magic Kingdom, where they had lunch at...
TONY'S TOWN SQUARE
Minestrone with Orzo Pasta
Seasonal Soup - Butternut Squash
Chicken Parmigiana - Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast with Marinara Sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella over Spaghetti
Lori said, "Great meal, perfect portion!"

Lori said, " First time there and I loved it! Tony's was a last minute choice and it was great."
And Lori & Sue were at Epcot last night, where they split something from...
La Cantina de San Angel
Nachos - corn tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream
I just received yesterday's updates from sarabear, but have to go out for awhile so will post them this afternoon.
Loving this thread! Thanks for all your hard work, Jabead!
Thank you ginamarie and Alice & Snow for great updates. Thanks jabead for posting them! I love seeing all the yummy food. I am looking forward to everyone at F&W and their updates. The lobster roll looks heavenly. I may have to jump on an airplane and get one!
I want to thank everyone who provided all this great food porn. Thank you, it's great!
sarabear was at Epcot yesterday, where she had lunch at...
First a few menu pics...
Prosciutto e Melone - Parma ham and cantaloupe
Zeppole Di Catarina - Ricotta Cheese Fritters, served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce
sarabear said, "These are amazing!"
Via Nappoli!! Yum!! I think the main reason I want this over Le Cellier is I love a good pizza and my hubby used to make his own Zeppoli's! I want him to try these and compare them!!
Then sarabear headed over to the Yacht Club Resort to have dinner at...
Meat Cutting Room
Heirloom Tomatoes with burrata, black garlic, and basil
(Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese, made from mozzarella and cream.)
sarabear said, "Delicious!" thumbsup2
12 oz. Prime New York Strip Steak with a substitute side of Mashed Potatoes
sarabear said, "Very good, but not as good as Le Cellier."
Peanut Butter and Pretzel Gianduja Cake
with Salted Caramel Gelato and Liquid Ganache
sarabear said, "It was okay."
And this from Lori & Sue, reporting live from DHS this morning where they had this for breakfast from...
