Chris & Danielle SeaBreezePoint/Attic Wedding June 2013! :)*Updated Dress Pics*

Ok everyone so here are our vendors for our Disney Wedding!

DFTW Coordinator-Kathleen Reynolds, I have heard good things about her on here so I am am glad we got her.

Makeup & Hair-M3 for trial, bridesmaids and me

Photographer- Emily Gilbert (also used for engagement pictures)

Videographer-Reminisce Productions

Wedding Dress-A Formal Affair located in Roswell GA

Floral
-through Disney

Officiant- Rev. Jack Day

I have really stayed away from most vendors on the Disney master list they gave us when we first started planning our wedding. This was after a bad makeup and hair trial from one of their vendors and a bad experience with one of their videographers so I decided to do my own research and find my own vendors in the orlando area. The only one we are using from the Disney list is Rev. Jack Day because of hearing such good things about him from you ladies on the Disboards. I can say I am pretty happy with all of our vendors so far. But I will be reviewing them after the wedding as well as doing a Glad I did/ Wish I hadn't post.

Yay for getting your coordinator! I have not read anything negative on her, so I think you are in excellent hands. I love the vintage Mickey dishes. Can't wait to see more!

Just started following along. Love the Disney touches for your kitchen! Can't wait to see more of your plans :)

So our planner just sent us our planning kit along with the prices for Escape wedding add on's for 2013. I thought it would help you all if I posted the link. Hopefully this will help with your budget and planning your big day.
Disney has updated most of the options this year including the cake, floral, and pricing for add on's as well. Of course these have gone up! :)

I am still not a big fan of most of the choices included with the Escape package so hopefully we can work with our coordinator and our floral specialist. but in the mean time how do I fill out this thing? lol.

The only downside to doing the Escape is that there is really no room to customize things which makes really no sense to me. I mean yes it would be more work for them but it would mean more money as well if you are willing to pay more to customize.

I don't really understand why the planning kit is so specific. Like check this box for this add on selection and this box for this cake, with no room for customization. But anyway I'm rambling now....check it out for yourself and see what you think :)

We got these beauties in the mail this week! Yay! The best part of the wedding. Even though I will probably never be able to use them since I can never seem to get off :/

Speaking of work...ok this is just me venting. But my boss called me into his office the other day to tell me that I will have to work 6 or 7 days a week now since our payroll is over budget and I am one of the only salaried employees in my department. UGH! This makes complete sense since he is never at work and is always playing in golf tournaments. So long story short he dropped the ball and that is how our budget is now way over.
So now I am trying to plan our wedding during all my off time which sucks since I basically live at work. I was expecting to either get some comp time or they would add days to my honeymoon to help me out since I will only have 4 vacation days. But of course they aren't.

So I am also in the process of looking for another job. I suffer from Crohn's Disease and Celiac and to work 6 or 7 days a week would be really tough on my body. Stress involuntarily makes me very ill and I don't mind working hard but to work that much I just know I would be sick all the time. :/

Sooo the wedding plans are coming along slowly.
Hope everything is well with all of you! :cool1:

Glad you got your planning kit! I can't wait to get mine :)

Sucks about work though. Good luck with your job search!

Thanks for the link.

That sucks about your job, they should at least offer you some sort of incentive for more hours for same pay. Good luck with job search.

Congrats on getting your vouchers!
I am so sorry your boss is doing that to you! I suffer from celiac as well and completely understand what you mean about the added stress :( Fingers crossed that you are able to find something else that will allow you to plan your wedding and take care of your health :)

I just read through the pdf, thanks for sharing the link! I'm not having an Escape wedding now (that was the original plan but we changed our minds and decided on getting married at Coronado Springs) but I found that really interesting to read. We took a look at the options and pricing for the Escape package last year and it seems a lot as changed! You definitely have WAY more options and room to personalize than you would have done if you got married before next year, but I understand that it still might not be as personalized as you'd like. While I was planning an Escape wedding, I heard from past brides that you could change the colors of the flowers in the standard bouquets so long as the flower naturally came in that color and was in season, for no extra charge. Some leeway at least! For everything else it seems they'll change things if you'll pay extra.

Do you know which of the options you'll choose yet for your flowers and cake? Are you looking to add any enhancements? I love some of the cake and flower options and the ceremony enhancements! What is it that you really want to personalize? I have seen a few Escape brides personalize A LOT so don't be put off, I'm sure you can work it all out :goodvibes I see what you mean about the prices going up! How awesome that you got your annual pass vouchers!! :hyper:

I'm sorry to hear about your job, have you checked in your contract if they're allowed to do that? My contract specifies exactly how many hours I have to work for my salary so I'd turn around and say "not in my contract". You might be able to stick to your regular hours if you tell them about your health, aren't companies supposed to be super cautious about health and safety in the work place? Good luck finding a new job! pixiedust:

I'm sorry your boss is being such a jerk. I can relate, my boss is just as obnoxious. I hope it works out for you! Thank you so much for sharing the PDF for 2013. That has helped me so much in setting the budget for my wedding.

Well I am glad the escape package has gotten better! :) I understand that they don't give you a whole lot of room for personalization since you are paying a set price. What I didn't understand is on the actual planning kit while you were filling it out you had to pick the exact items in the escape package instead of having certain sections maybe layout how you would like to add more on to your wedding like more floral, decor etc.

I guess we just need to talk this over with our coordinator and she can make it happen :)

Ya I think I need to look over my contract again :) I am an event coordinator so I am trying to find a job in my field since I love what I do but it is proving very tough. I guess for companies in the area that is one of the first things they cut when the economy started turning. Which makes sense I guess.
My dream job is to be one of the DFTW Coordinators! How can I move to FL and somehow land this position? HA!

YAY!!! I am super excited this week to announce that Chris and I sent in our planning kit. This was not an easy task but we got it done! For anyone else out there filling it out and trying to get it in...Good Luck! lol

In other news we picked our music for our violinist at the ceremony.

Bridal Party Entrance-
" Married Life" from Pixar's UP

Bride's Entrance-
"Something" by the Beatles

Recessional-
The Muppet Show Theme

I think these songs go really well with our vintage boardwalk theme! I know these probably sound strange together but they really flow very well! We also added the Ipod Setup for our reception at the Attic so we will create a playlist for our Cocktail Hour and Reception ::yes::

Also we nailed down our Wedding Day Schedule with our coordinator!

Ceremony 10:00am-11:00am
Cocktail Hour 11:15-12 (not an hour but that's ok) lol at the Attic
Reception 12-2 pm at the Attic

YAY! I am getting excited!

Now what to do the night of the wedding with the DF? hmmmm???
We are probably not going to want to eat a whole lot since we are having this buffet in the afternoon. So I'm not sure. Any Ideas?

I hope all of you Disbrides had a great Thanksgiving! We had a good time. I started the day by watching the Macy's Parade which is a must for our family! Then the DF and I did lunch with my family and then headed to his house for Thanksgiving Dinner. I ate way too much and then went home to get ready for a crazy day at work on Black Friday! I even got some shopping in after work and the crowds were not bad at all. Here are a couple Thanksgiving pics of the Df and I....

In wedding news we got the grooms and groomsmen shoes in they look like this....

Very casual but cute!
We have also completed our Welcome Party Menu's which I will post after they come in from our order. We are starting to research and work on our programs and newsletters as well. I still am working on getting our new contract sent in to DFTW for our reception at the Attic.

So that is all for now I guess...hope you are all doing well!

Congrats! You're engagement story was sweet! I have not got to read through all your posts yet, but wanted to say that we were married on June 9, 2010 at 10am @ SBP! It is so beautiful that time of year!! Congrats again, now off to read your PJ

Oh my gosh...well great minds think alike! That is too funny! Was it still too hot at 10 am? We are doing it then so it hopefully won't be hot and sticky like it is in the afternoon at WDW. Thanks for following along! I'm sure you can help me a lot with ideas since you got married at SBP too! :dance3:
