Thanks for following along! I shared your comment about our stationery with the DF and this made him so happy! He gets a little frustrated with it at times and when he hears comments like this after all that work it really makes him so happy!

Thank you for following along! Def make sure to ask disney about the flowers because you never know what they will say! It seems like at times they tell different brides different things.

    Hello Ladies!

Well we have not gotten a lot done recently. I have been pretty busy with my new job and have been sick with the flu. NOT FUN! First I must mention that I am kinda upset with our DFTW coordinator and the florist. I talked to our florist Rosie the last week of november and she told me it would take a couple weeks to put together some pricing for me and that she would send some pictures so I could choose a vase for our reception centerpieces as well. Well that was about 6 WEEKS AGO! What the heck? I have not heard one thing from her! UGH!
I am also waiting to hear back still about our menu for our reception from the chef's and from our wedding planner and we have been working on it for like a month and a half! We did want to change things a bit but I wrote her on monday this week asking her if she has heard anything and have not heard anything back. I mean she could at least write back and let me know she hasn't heard anything right? Maybe I am just being crazy but it is frustrating trying to budget for your wedding that is almost 4 months away and still don't know the prices for ANYTHING!
Has anyone else had issues like this or is it just me?

Ok my rant is over....! On to some lighter news the DF and I have nailed down our wedding weekend plans and honeymoon plans YAY!

    June 7th

-We are leaving in the am with my maid of honor and one of the DF's groomsmen.
-we are planning on having lunch at the Art of Animation since we love this quick service so much.
-we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas until after the wedding
-probably doing something fun as a group not sure what yet

    June 8th

-I have my makeup & hair trial at 9am today! My maid of honor will be with me for this
-the guys are going golfing today and going out to lunch together
-this will also be a park night for everyone

    June 9th

-the guys are going golfing again today since all of our guests will be arriving today
-I am planning on doing something with the girls to celebrate a little...maybe going to typhoon lagoon? or pool to hang out?
-Tonight is our welcome dinner at Ohana's at 5:05 and we made this reservation for everyone so we will be a group of 20!

    June 10th

    -Today is wedding day!
-ceremony at 10 am at Sea Breeze Point
-cocktail hour at the Attic 11-12 while we take pictures
-reception at the Attic from 12-2 pm
-the DF and I check into the beach club villas today!
-We already know we will both want to take a nap after this lol! Great way to start off a marriage right?
-then we might go into the park and go eat not sure where or maybe just hangout in the room and order room service.

    June 11th

-today we will be going to the Saratoga Springs Spa
-and possibly the turf club bar and grill for lunch (we have not tried this and have really wanted to)
-we will probably just be relaxing the rest of the night and doing quick service dinner

    June 12th

-today we are going to Universal and doing the park-to-park tickets (wanted to try universal since we have never really been together before) Can't believe we are doing this since we are such disney fans but it should be fun.
-we are also doing lunch at Margaritaville
-not sure about the rest of the night probably just hanging out again

    June 13th

    -golf together in the am
    -pool in the afternoon
-dinner reservation for Kona at 7:40 pm

    June 14th

    -Magic kingdom today
    -lunch at Be Our Guest
    -not sure about pm

    June 15th

-Shopping day today, going to the outlets and to Downtown Disney
-we have a reservation for Whispering Canyon at 8pm

    June 16th

-today we will spend the day in Hollywood Studios
-we have lunch reservations at Sci Fi at 1pm

    June 17th

-we will do a quick service lunch today and then we will hit the road to go back home :worried:

I guess I should not have said that we finalized plans since most of our nights we are still not sure about. I am actually proud of us though because any other time we go to Disney we make it a habit to plan to go to the park everyday and we end up running around the entire vacation. Then we come back feeling like we need a vacation after our vacation lol! But since this is our honeymoon we want to make it a point to really enjoy each other and have time together to relax and reflect on getting married.

We are so excited! Although we do have quite a way to go still to save money. But anyway we will be posting pictures of our programs soon and hopefully posting our BEO soon!

    Hello Ladies!

First off I have to thank you all so much for the sweet comments about the work we have done on the wedding so far. I love seeing everyone following along on our journey and I love seeing your plans coming together as well!
Wedding planning is not easy but you ladies make it easier with all of your support!

So tomorrow is my birthday and I am uber excited because my wonderful DF bought us VIP tickets to the Bridal Extravaganza in Atlanta tomorrow which means I get to meet DAVID TUTERA! I love David so much that I might even be one of those freaks that cries! HA j/k. But I will for sure put pictures up for everyone.

On to the fun stuff...while spending the day with the DF and my parents last weekend my mom and I bought necklaces for the girls as well as matching earrings. They were a little expensive since they are Ralph Lauren but I thought that they went with our vintage theme really well and I wanted to buy them something a little upscale.

This is my Maid of Honor's Necklace. Her's is two strands and my bridesmaid is one. And these are my Maid of Honor's matching earrings while my bridesmaid will have the matching pearl studs. My Bridesmaid is a junior so I figured that would suit her well.

The DF also ordered these duffle bags for the guys which we are working on getting monogrammed for them. We thought that this was an interesting and different type of gift for them vs. the usual flask, watch etc. We mentioned before the shoes we bought all the guys and we will also be gifting those.

I am also putting some snacks and drinks in their bags for them as a little welcome since all of our other guests are getting welcome baskets.

In other news I couldn't figure out what to do with our hour of photography that was included in our package. Since we are bringing in our own photographer our wedding coordinator told me to call the Disney Photographers and schedule a portrait session for either before or after the wedding. So after some heavy pondering I decided to schedule a portrait session on the 8th after my makeup & hair trial with my Maid of Honor who has been my best friend my entire life. We have never really had professional pictures taken of us since we were about 2 or 3 years old so I figured that would be really nice. We will be taking our pictures at Port Orleans Riverside since we both like that resort and used to stay there a lot with our family.

I also just had my second phone conference with Rosie the florist that went pretty well. We cut our cost down a little and made a couple changes and as soon as she sends me our official BEO I will post the prices to give you all an idea for your own budgeting. I know in the early stages of planning it really helped me to look at other couples BEO's. From looking at those and gathering prices together you wouldn't believe that the budget I set for my floral was a mere $20 off of what our total was. HA! and the best part was that we were $20 UNDER budget!

I still have not heard anything back from our wedding coordinator which is no real surprise. She only really contacts me when she needs stuff from us which sucks but I am trying not to think about it too much. I guess it is just the breaks with an Escape wedding.

I am about to order my bridal sash and shoes and possibly pick up some goodies at the bridal show :) I will fill you all in again soon!
    Happy wedding planning!

Hey ladies I promised I would update with report on the Atlanta Bridal Extravaganza.

Well the DF and I got up at about 8 this morning since check in starting at 10. We made some breakfast at the house and then headed out at 9 so we had time to park and get in line. During our vip check in we were given goody bags from The Knot and then we were led into the area to buy David's books for the book signing. Chick-fila was also in this area serving breakfast and other goodies.

We did not wait long for them to usher us into the Bridal show. Here are some pictures of some wonderful floral and inspiration that was on display at the show. I figured I would take lots of pictures to maybe help you with your weddings.

spotted this pretty chair detail idea while walking in hmmm...might use this!

loved the floral here and how cute are the mini cakes!!! They are such a great idea for wedding cake and favor all wrapped into one!

This would be great for a little mermaid themed wedding. I kept thinking of flounder with the pops of yellow!

    Very royal!

A little over the top but I think this vendor was trying to showcase EVERYTHING she had!

This would be good for a Snow White themed wedding with all the red accents! I can even see Beauty and the Beast in this as well.

    very cool linens used here!

Not my cup of tea but def cool and chic!

This was a VERY masculine themed space that incorporated a Harley motorcycle and tattoo inspired graphics.

    On to cakes....

O then I found this beauty...

Then I met David!!!! and fell in love all over again lol j/k I am just kinda obsessed with him. Just a little lol. But even the DF really enjoyed meeting him and found him very entertaining. He is hilarious and had lots of great advice during the Q & A.

He is signing my Disney Weddings book he wrote here and was explaining that he was going to be down in Disney next week for the Disney bridal show which I knew and I was sad to let him know we could not make it because of work and everything. But he seemed excited that I was a Disney bride and he was really great about pulling Chris in for a picture as well.

    We had a good time!

Happy birthday! :bday: looks like you're having a great time at the bridal extravaganza!

I love the necklace and earrings you got your bridal party, so pretty! I'm sure they'll love them :goodvibes I think the gym bags are a great idea for the guys and they'll be even more awesome when they're personalized. I agree with you completely that it's better to think outside the box with their gifts and not give the traditional flasks etc.

Oh goodness!!! Where to begin? I just love EVERYTHING!!! Your dress, the invitations, your engagement photos. It's all lovely and perfect and you will make a beautiful bride.

    Congratulations!!!

My hubby and I also wanted to have a reception at The Attic because we love the Boardwalk so much, but we keep hearing it's a nightmare to book there when you are not a DFTW bride. So we are opting for something at the Swan where are ceremony is being held. Oh well, maybe for our 25 year vow renewal.:rotfl:

I can't wait to follow your planning straight till your big day.

    Hello Ladies!

This is kinda late but I hope everyone had a great valentines day! There has been a lot going on for us with the wedding recently. First off we just switched planners from Kathleen Reynolds to Kristin Kimberlin. I hate to sound like a complainer but I felt like with Kathleen we were not receiving good customer service and the experience we wanted through Disney. It was going on two months that we still had not heard anything about our menu and it seemed like everything we wanted she shot down quickly. I have heard of other brides having the same issues with her and others who loved her so I am not sure why we had issues with her but moving on...we are so thrilled to be working with Kristin!!! She is amazing and has already figured out half of the things we tried to work with Kathleen on in a matter of a week! YES this girl is amazing!

Our first concern was we were going to have to move our reception venue to St. James which we were not thrilled about. The Attic is not great with our guest count because we have exactly 20 including the DF & I. Which means 4 of our guests would be stuck outside in the heat while everyone else is seated inside. I did not really like the sound of that and the amount of tables was never mentioned to me so I started freaking when I saw a picture of the attic and only 4 tables on the DIS a couple weeks ago. But we decided to put the two kids that will be attending the wedding together at a smaller table located in the space and then Chris & I will hopefully have a sweetheart table added(I have seen these in other pictures). I just could not let go of the Attic. It has a great view, most people cannot access it unless they have a private event, and the space is so great itself that we will not need to add a whole lot of decor.

Now we finally settled our Menu with the Chefs. I don't know if I have mentioned this or not but I am Celiac which means I am VERY allergic to gluten. So it was important to us that our whole buffet be gluten free. The chefs were not great at working with us on this :( At first we wanted to do a brunch with gluten free mickey waffles but they told us they could not do this due to the waffle makers being used with regular waffle mix. This doesn't really make sense to me because I am offered gluten free waffles every place I go on property. Not sure about that one but after being told that we decided to go for a lunch buffet. Here is our menu!

    Cocktail Hour
Strawberry Soup from 1900 Park Fare serviced in martini glasses
    Cheese & Grapes Display
Sparkling Cider served in champagne glasses

    Buffet
Oven Roasted Baked Chicken Stuffed with Prosciutto, Spinach, and Fontina
Carved to order Ham with Honey Mustard and Pineapple Compote
    Bacon Cheddar Mashed Potatoes
    Seasonal Vegetables
Brown Derby Cobb Salad with Red Wine Dressing

    Drinks
Peach Iced Tea garnished with Peaches and Strawberries
    Lemonade
    Water
    Coffee

and then we will have our cake of course but I might add a dessert station or something else not sure yet. But then Chris and I made these wedding tees for the girls and I with iron-on's we ordered from Etsy. I think they turned out really cute!

    Not a great picture...sorry!

Also we have a lot of stuff in the works that I will post soon. We just ordered our guest book and my bridal sash from Etsy which will be here soon. I will also post pictures of my shoes! We also have started working on our reception that we will have at home when we get back from the honeymoon so I will be posting the info on that as well. We are also thinking of having our own little dessert party the night of the wedding but not sure what to do yet. We didn't want to add one because we are already spending a lot. We were thinking maybe buying our guests ice cream at the Beaches & Cream and then watching the fireworks together near Epcot. But that is not sounding great to me. Any ideas anyone?

I agree with you completely. We've since booked The Attic for our luncheon and so far all is well. Our catering dept rep is just awesome. I bug her all the time and she doesn't seem to mind.:rotfl2:
