Dear Kaci:
Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort.
We appreciate your feedback regarding our current ticket offers. We
would like to assure you that our goals for providing a happy and unique
experience in our theme parks have remained constant throughout the
years. One of the ways in which we attempt to maintain this goal is to
continually evaluate the various aspects of our operation and make
changes at times. We rely on input from our Guests to help us determine
when these changes should remain in effect or when we should implement
something different.
While we realize that it is impossible to please everyone at all times
with the decisions that are made, it is always our goal to provide a
quality experience for our Guests. At this time, we no longer offer
more than 5 days on our Resort Park Hoppers. In this case, you may wish
to consider a combination of our 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-day Park Hoppers
that best meets your needs, or perhaps an Annual Passport may be a
viable option for you to consider as they offer a tremendous value for
Guests to experience our world-class attractions all year long, and
Annual Passholders recognize the value of these tickets that pay for
themselves after just a few visits. In any case, we would also invite
you to contact us prior to your visit to inquire about any ticket
updates. You may visit us online at disneyland.com or call (714)
781-4565.
Again, thank you for contacting us. Comments such as yours are welcomed
in that they assist us in evaluating our operation and our success in
generating happiness for our Guests. We hope you will have the
opportunity to visit the DISNEYLAND® Resort soon and that our
attractions and entertainment will delight you in every way.
Sincerely,
Suzn Gates

Sent in my email complaining......will see if I get a response!
I received the same, word for word, generic reply (no specific address of complaint) others have noted on this thread.

I still plan to inquire about upgrading to an additional day at the gate, and with the Grand Californian concierge. I'm not necessarily expecting to be successful, but I am going to express my chagrin in person as well.
Received my reply today
Buying an AP or combining multiple Park Hoppers is just not a reasonable answer for us...
It's not remotely reasonable it sounds like they think we are stupid to 'lay out' the options of 'you may wish to consider a combination of our 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-day Park Hoppers that best meets your needs, or perhaps an Annual Passport may be a viable option for you to consider as they offer a tremendous value for Guests to experience our world-class attractions all year long'
First of all, if we were all made of money, I'm sure it would be no problem and we certainly all could plan on doing the basic math of adding 5 + whatever number we need to custom create the 'combination' for the right amount of days.
Secondly, tremendous value in an Annual Passport does nothing for those living too far away to visit more than once or twice a year.
Here's my reply:
Dear Ms. Perich:
Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort. We appreciate you
taking the time to share your experience with us.
We are concerned with the disappointments you mentioned in your e-mail.
As you are aware, our goal is to provide the finest service and
accommodations. Please be assured we do take our Guest comments very
seriously, and take them into consideration when evaluating our
operation. Your remarks have been shared with the appropriate leaders so

Regrettably, the DISNEYLAND® Resort no longer offers 6, 7, or 8-Day Park
Hopper Tickets. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have
caused you and your family. The DISNEYLAND® Resort Main Entrance ticket
booths feature 1-Day/1-Park tickets, 1-Day through 5-Day PARK HOPPER®
tickets, Southern California CityPass tickets, and Annual Passports.
Disney Stores throughout the country offer selected DISNEYLAND® Resort
tickets, so please call your local Disney Store for more information.
Disneyland.com features Multi-Day Tickets. Select Ticket options may be
purchased by calling our Ticketing & Reservations line at (714)
781-4400.
Again, thank you for contacting us. Comments such as yours are welcomed

Here's the thing though. Disney has obviously decided as evidenced by their huge increases in ticket and annual pass prices that the market will bear these prices. As a business, Disney doesn't want to undervalue their product. Disney does a lot of surveys and keeps a lot of statistics. I'm guessing that the number-crunchers found that 5-day tickets are the sweet spot so to speak. Yes, there is consumer demand for 6, 7, and 8 day tickets, but that demand compared to the demand for the remaining ticketing options must be small enough that Disney is unconcerned about working particularly hard for this demographic. While the consumer may want cheap longer day options, Disney may feel that offering them in the current market de-values their product. Consider these current average per day costs for hopper tickets:
1 day: $125 per day
2 day: $100 per day
3 day: $83.33 per day
4 day: $68.75 per day
5 day: $58 per day
6 day: $69.16 per day (must purchase 5 day and 1 day parkhopper)
7 day: $70 per day (must purchase 5 day and 2 day parkhopper) or
$67 per day with deluxe annual pass, must be aware of blocked out days
8 day: $67.50 per day (must purchase 5 day and 3 day parkhopper) or $58.25 per day with deluxe annual pass, must be aware of blocked out days
What this tells me is that Disney doesn't want to let people into the park right now for less than $58 per day, and this is how they're choosing to see that they don't. Those who want to go badly enough will buy additional hoppers or annual passes to extend their stay, and if they don't someone else will come soon enough to take their place.
I sent one in. We are planning on nine days in the park this December.

I guess there is one good thing about living in Australia. We can get 14 day hopper passes for $240. So even if we are only staying 10 days, it's easier to get the 14 day pass.
presumably knotts, universal, and san diego attractions love this
I finally received a response!

jory29 said:Wow, the same story for everyone. Similar 'sorry', similar 'reason why' and similar 'we will forward it on.' No one is getting any real answers at all.
Well that IS the real answer right now. Do you think that they are lying about forwarding the feedback on just because everyone is getting close to the same responses? I think sending emails when you are disappointed with the service/product is great, but one can't expect them to immediately change their tune after 20 or so similar complaints.
