    Fake screaming?

I work at HM in WDW and there is a big difference between fake screaming and real screaming. Yes, we experience LOTS of fake (and sometimes real) screaming in the stretch rooms. Drives me crazy, but, you know, what can you do? Also, WDW experiences a lot of group chanting...mostly from...

Paint the Night Parade and Disneyland Forever Fireworks Strategy

Trying to get an idea of exactly where this spot is so I can grab it on 9/12! So, if you walk up the Main Street sidewalk on the right side of the street, you walk all the way down to the central hub. Are you on the Castle side of the street or the central circle part? And is that before it...

Identical attractions at DLR and WDW?

Thank you all for your insight. Tea Cups, Dumbo, Carousels, and the ones with the different queues, I will skip initially, then if I have time, I will go back and do them. I have 3 full days and 2 half days = 4 days, I suppose. Do you think I will have enough time to hit everything? I work in...

Identical attractions at DLR and WDW?

I am a WDW CM (for almost 3 years now) and I was an AP holder for almost 15 years before that so I'm very familiar with the WDW attractions. While I know most attractions that are common to both coasts are generally different (and I look forward to the differences!), can you all tell me which...

Fast Pass for World of Color?

At what time do I need to get a Fast Pass for World of Color, and where? Is it a great view? And at what time do I need to arrive for the show? Any info is appreciated. :) I am interested in seeing it on Sept. 13th or 14th if that matters.

Paint the Night - Where are the castle rope spots?

Any insight as to possible wait times on Sept. 12th or 13th? Everyone is back in school. Think it will still be bad? I don't particularly want to wait from 6pm on....

How does the Memory Maker work?

How long is it good for? For instance, since I'm local, can I use it for the full 45 days, whenever I'm in the parks or does it have to be linked to a reservation/purchased ticket? Just curious.

To the CM's on the board: what is the one "tip" you can give us?

I haven't read the whole thread yet...it's a bazillion pages long...but one tip I have to guests in general (though it doesn't apply to you lovely people because you are on this board, after all!) is that they should come prepared. Have a general knowledge of the Disney Parks before one...

Main Entrance Operations.. Turnstiles or parking lot?

I am a current part time cast member who works in parking an it is not as bad as it sounds. I actually work in parking at Downtown Disney and I direct traffic and drive around in a golf cart patrolling the lots, helping lost guests find cars. I'm transferring to attractions--not because I...

Am I doing something wrong (rehire paperwork)

It sounds like you have done everything correctly. Not sure why it would be denied. I was also a rehire with a restricted status. I had my restriction removed. Did they ask you to write about what caused you to have a restriction and how things had changed so that would not happen again? I...

Walt Disney World Cast Member Record Card

If you call that number and select 1, there will be an option to talk to someone. (I think you press 0). Anyway I'm not sure if they can tell you your status over the phone, but you can at least ask. I did an application, waited a few months, was set up with the online interview (personality...

    restricted rehire wait time (question)

I also found out my restriction was removed very quickly. It took about 4 days from the day I turned in my paperwork, to the day I was being offered the job. :)

Walt Disney World Cast Member Record Card

So even though I was told it would take 3-4 weeks for a response, it was 4 days and 2 of those days were the weekend. Lol. I'm very relieved to have had my restriction removed. Looking forward to becoming a cast member all over again! Yay!

    Restricted rehire question

Hi, Carly! Just wondering what happened next? I have submitted my paperwork to have my restriction removed and I'm just wondering how long it will take to find out. Have you had your status removed?

Walt Disney World Cast Member Record Card

Hello, all. I've been reading posts on restricted rehire status because I recently found out that I too have a restricted rehire status (as I suspected--no surprise) and filled out the paperwork to have it removed. It is very recent so I have not heard a decision yet. I am more nervous than...
