DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I wouldn’t feel defeated by this yet, we have very little information and people are making assumptions on things they don’t know yet. You should give it some time and gather more information once it goes live. You can even contact guest services before you are required to in the event you need...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

Again has to be needs based on an individual level and on an individuals needs. They can decide that people with mobility issues can use a wheelchair and all their queues will accommodate them or at Disneyland when they don’t they are given a return time, or give return to line passes to people...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

You can’t offer accommodation based on a diagnosis it’s based on needs if your needs can be met with an alternative accommodation then they can meet your needs that way. You can’t do Something like say only people with broken legs can use the handicapped seat at the movie theater you have to...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I think people are focusing way too much on the developmental disability part of it I’m not sure they can discriminate based on diagnosis. I believe the program will continue to be needs based it’s just going to get more scrutiny and might require speaking to a medical professional with the cast...

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

I will say it seems like the company accepted my general VA benefit letter as accepted documentation. It doesn’t say anything more than that I have service connected disabilities and that I am considered totally and permanently disabled.

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

I don’t want to talk to some random guy on the phone about my disabilities that feels super intrusive as well this whole system makes me very uncomfortable.

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

That’s not the point I’m not a disability lawyer so I can’t say where that would go but if they don’t change the system they don’t have to worry about additional lawsuits. If they do change it they open themselves up to new filings over the system.

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

Don’t think that would matter a disabled person can’t argue that Disney isn’t giving a reasonable accommodation when a judge has already said it’s a reasonable accommodation. If they change the system then they would open themselves up to more potential lawsuits. Also the DAS isn’t the same as...

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

The only reason why I don’t think Disney will change their current system is because it’s already been litigated in court and found to be a fair and equitable system. This process hasn’t yet and if Disney were adopt it there is no doubt in my mind that lawsuits would be filed very quickly.

Universal now requiring documentation be sent to a third party for accessibility

Honestly I’m really not a fan of this it feels super intrusive. I’m 100% p&t through the VA and I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to submit. Disneyland Paris and such just took the basic benefit letter as proof and after that I had no problem. I’m not totally sure what these people are...

    90 day recovery status?

I tested positive shortly before you did and I just got aboard the magic today with no problem I tested negative at the port. I was reading some studies last night out of anxiety of the situation and according to those there’s about a 13% chance of testing positive at around 20 days. So that’s...

    90 day recovery status?

I live in Kissimmee around WDW. I’ll just get tested at the port and hope I test negative either way. Even if I tested positive yesterday or today it’s still a possibility I don’t Monday so I may as well try. I really only waste my time driving and such if I’m turned away. I was just annoyed...

    90 day recovery status?

It's a shame I didn't know about this option before It was too late for my cruise. I tested positive at home early in the month did a tele health with VA said there was no point in coming in for a test and possibly exposing others. So I never had a positive test with a doctor. I never really got...

Please post experiences using same day DAS selections using MDE App.

I was told by a cast member that it was not supposed to work like that but I still couldn’t select minetrain or space again from the app. The das button that shows up on the attraction wouldn’t come back m. Could he just a glitch

well I spent to morning in the magic kingdom and I have to say the new DAS system is absolutely amazing, being able to just get your times from the app is so helpful. Once you get into the park a das button will show up in menu you get from pressing the button on the bottom left. From there you...

    Disneyland Military Salute....? 2023

Yeah I’ve been waiting for any word on military tickets at Disneyland for a while. Disney world released their 2021 ones in like March so the schedule is off. I go to Disney every year in September. I know I’m probably buying full price tickets this year but still holding out hope.
