Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part One [Thread now FULL and closed]

i'm not sure if canada is considered 'international' because as a uk guest, we didn't receive any paperwork for the magical express, we just had our reservation number. we had to pick up our cases, although apprently you can tell them at the desk that you have x number of cases and they can go...

Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part One [Thread now FULL and closed]

sorry, this will have been asked before but i don't really fancy flicking through 101+ pages to find out! can anyone tell me in which order the bus picks up at each stop? i know the first stop is the south depot, but then where does it go? i've read of people having to wait for another...

How/when do they do receptions in the parks?

to use most in park locations you must wait until after park closing before your reception can begin. some areas, like the areas used for dessert parties at epcot, are offset from the main park areas and will be 'roped off' but you will be visable to other guests. there are some in park...

    Lunch

the ceremony won't last an hour, i think disney just gives this timeline to alow for staged exit photos etc etc

    Lunch

i think generally the timetable will go something like this 10am-11am - ceremony 11am-12pm - pre reception/cocktail hours [bride and groom photos] 12pm - 4pm - reception you would probably have bride and groom enter at 12pm, then have first dance and toasts then food!

Are the discs supplied by photographers playable in the UK

if you are getting a videographer, i believe most dvd players are multi region these days. if you have an old dvd player that is only region two, it's only about £20 to get a multi region player! :D

    Photographer Dilemma

that's unfortunate that the arndts aren't available, we plan to use them for our wedding! :D jason is great and his photos are amazing, i've only heard good reviews! his prices start at $1300 for a full day coverage, then you can add on a disc of images etc etc. i would go with regina...

    Rambling questions!!

if you go onto Carrie's website, disney travel babble, you can find lots of pictures of all the reception rooms there. the menu is completely customisable! you can work with your planner to make up a menu! you will be able to have the one tier cake as well. :D you can phone and arrange a...

    Photography question & turnaround time!

it depends on the photographer, i think 4-6 weeks is average, although you may be able to pay more to get the photos faster. i know a few brides that used randy this year for their weddings. some got their photos within four weeks, one girl got hers after 8 weeks, so i think it depends!

Is the 'pencil in' even worth it?

i think the pencil in would be worth it because if someone else phoned up and wanted your date, they might be put off knowing someone else was interested and have a change on heart rather than go through the lottery. maybe not, but just a thought

    wedding costs

is 25k your whole budget? or just for the wishes section. [i.e, is that to include your flights, dress, hair/make-up etc] if just wishes, i think you could probably stick to that budget if you were willing to cut back on things like speciality transport and characters. having a dry reception...

Guest Count - Will DFTW downgrade me to Escape from Wishes

i would suggest starting with escape and the upgrading to wishes if need be. you say there are more locations, where were you thinking of having your ceremony? since you are travelling you could send out a 'pre-rsvp' to the guests you plan on inviting with answers 'definitely, probably...

Destination wedding vs at home wedding?!?!?!

a lot of people choose to go destination because of the price difference. you can manage a fabulus disney wedding sticking to the 12k minimum. therefore you would be saving a lot of money there, so you wouldn't necessarily require gifts. for us, it's more important that the people we want to...
