    Just need to vent.....

Thanks - last time round it didn't really involve the thrill rides as the kids were too small for most but on our next trip they will be tall enough. Fast Pass sounds the way to go!

    Just need to vent.....

Hi Been reading these posts and now I am not sure if we use our GAC card ethically. I am having a crisis of conscience. My DD will be 6 next year but due to medical issues iwill be unable to make use of a lot of the rides. On a past visit ,we got a GAC on account of how she 'behaves' in...

    Not seizure free anymore

I think I'll try the photo album thing (and add in some pictures of juice, water etc). Although she doesn't have many words she sure can get her point across! But any help to make her more communicative would be great!

    Not seizure free anymore

Thanks Sue, Makaton is based on BSL and uses some signs as well as pictures. It is really used as a help for the child who can't talk well to communciate back. For example, my daughters favourites are BSL sign for 'more', 'pig' and 'home'. It would be good to get some signs for characters...

question regarding how you are treated if son is in wheelchair

There are special areas for parades however we had a really bad experience at MK. We had a GAP for my daughter, aged 3 at the time, who has severe epilepsy and global development delay. We felt grateful to be able to take advantage of the disabled parade areas so we put our kids near the front...

I'm Still undecided! Anyone prefer downtown disney over a value resort

As a family of five (3 xhildren under 10) we are really stuck with limited moderates, deluxe or two rooms at value resorts. This just pushes it out of our price bracket - for two weeks at the Swan we are looking at £5.5 with Virgin before we buy passes. 2 years ago we stayed at Vistana...

    Allowance

My three (ages 7,4,2) all get £3 each paid directly into a bank account for their holiday spending money. They also have 'loose change' banks which we add money to 2-3 times per week. My 7 year old sometimes gets £2 at weekends but this is not tied to chores. They often get treats such as...

Do you have a limit on the amount of money..

My kids will be ages 8,5 & 3 when we travel. We are currently putting £3 per week away for our kids into their savings accounts, and we will change £150 for each of them into $$$. This should give them around $15 per day each, if they want something that costs more than $15 then they will...
