Coronado Springs Resort - New Unofficial FAQ Thread - November 2012

Hi Dave! I went to Buzz's site and to the new page you referenced but couldn't find anything about air conditioners. I'd love to know more info. Is there another place I could look?

    The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

I posted this two years ago. So...why am I stressing now?!? I'm the same size now that I was then, if not a size smaller. But we're 40 days away from the next trip and I'm worried about the plane and the ride seats...particularly the rides that I didn't attempt last time that I'd like to try...

Official Star Wars Weekends 2013 Tips and Tricks

Sorry if this was already posted but there's a new blog post up on Kenny the Pirate's blog about SWW merchandise: http://kennythepirate.com/2013/03/27/star-wars-weekends-2013-merchandise/ :)

To be sure you get what you need you might consider ordering from Garden Grocer or one of the other grocery delivery services. :)

    Unofficial Guide TP's or Touringplans.com

Hmm... Are the personalized touring plans on the website better than those in the book? Probably not if it will cause you more stress :) The most important thing (IMO) is having a plan for the first three or four rides (the headliners, things you don't want to wait in a huge line for later)...

Changes coming to minimum age requirement for unaccompanied park entry

Meh...I was with a friend on our own for hours in MK at age 9. But those were different times...or something :) I think lots of locals will be upset about the water parks being included in this new restriction. It seems lots of them drop their kids off after school and pick them up around...

First timer - does this look good?

I put some comments in line :) Looks like you're off to a great start! Have a magical trip!

    Rooe drop mk

EasyWDW says 4/14 is a Not Recommended day for MK, mostly because of the evening EMH. Since you said you're considering rope drop for just one day, sounds like this should be the day! Being ahead of the crowd at rope drop is super important in these situations unless you want to spend most of...

Best site to come up with an initial plan?

The thing is, not *everyone* knows it :) Like the TouringPlans.com FAQ says "Reverse Psychology - Should I Avoid the "Best" Park Because Everyone Will Go There? "If you tell everyone to head to Animal Kingdom," you ask, "won't that quickly become the most crowded park?" Unfortunately, no...

    Credit card promos

Don't forget about the Target card (credit or debit). You can buy Disney gift cards for 5% off and if you get your prescriptions filled there too you get an extra 5% coupon after filling 5 prescriptions. DH just bought $1000 in Disney cards for $902.50 :)

    BBB appt. at 8:40am

I assume you're riding the bus to MK from CSR? And I'm assuming the park opens at 9 that day? 7:30 sounds good, if not a little early, to me. I think that puts you to MK by 7:50ish and I wouldn't guess they'd let you in until closer to your BBB time like 8:20 or something...

    Mk touring advice. HELP!

Just throwing out a crazy idea here... Since the park opens at 8, could you consider changing your CP reservation to later? I just looked and 11:35 is open for a party of 8. Then you could eat before the park opens (in your room, CS at hotel, etc), make rope drop (get there by 7:30ish) and...

    rides for younger children

Walt intended his parks to be enjoyed by young and old side by side so rides are made for as broad an age range as possible! :)

MK RD Plan: Does this sound correct?

Since you're hoping for CRT breakfast I would take advantage of that head start on the crowds and do ETWB first. Other than that my only thought is "holy character overload!" But whatever makes the kids happy, right? :) Edit: could you do 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, etc meals at some point...

    New Subcategory Idea?

For those who are TouringPlans.com subscribers, their chat feature on the Lines app is super awesome and full of just what you're describing :) Not that a disboards one wouldn't be cool too but...just giving an option!

To Plan or not to plan

You've gotten some great advice already! I'd just like to echo the "familiarize yourself with the parks and attractions" tip. There's nothing worse than arriving at the park and spending 20 minutes studying the map trying to figure out where to go and what you might see when you get there...

Sat behind someone giving possible bad Disney info today...

This is exactly what I thought when I read your first post. And I'm totally a busybody so I would have written it on a napkin (along with a book recommendation and maybe even my email address) and dropped it off at their table. :) How would I react if someone did that to me? I'd be surprised...

Pros and Cons of Online Check-in?

It's our first time staying onsite. Should we do online check in or wait to check in when we get there? We booked through a TA and she made a building request for us, if that matters. Also, we're arriving right around noon on Friday, May 24th, if that matters. :) I guess I'm just wondering if...
