    excursion questions......

Impossible. Blue Lagoon is on an island off of Nassau. Takes almost 45 min. to get there on their chartered boat. You can book directly w/ Blue Lagoon, or through Disney Excursions. Limited space avl. in either case (and they fill up quickly). Good luck.

    alarm clocks, radios in room?

Cat. 4 room had outlets behind the bed, on the vanity, and behind the television (one outlet taken by the tv itself). There are also outlets in each of the split bathrooms. I worried about extension cords, and opted not to bring them. We did just fine after discovering all the outlet locations.

Anybody rent a car in Nassau?

Even worse (not to turn you all off completely) the cars are not new models. Kinda like renting from Rent A Wreck and yet we rented from Hertz. My kids are older (DD8, DS6) but I would think twice about car seats etc. w/ little ones. Isn't there some other form of transpo besides taxi?

If you bring it to dinner, you'll pay a 'corking fee' of $15.

    Anybody stay in 8508/Wonder?

Just returned from Wonder 3/24. We were next door in 8506. Great room! Something Dave didn't mention - the 9th deck above has a curved overlook which begins to jut out at 8506, and is completely over 8508. This makes a difference when (if) inclement weather strikes (it rained for about 15 min...

Anybody rent a car in Nassau?

Hi, We just returned from the Wonder 3/24 cruise, and we rented a car in Freeport. Weird thing - they drive on the left side of the road (like all U.K. countries) but the cars are American configured (steering wheel on the left!). This is hugely dangerous (to me) when you want to pass! If you...

Should whole family do Dolphin Encounter or should I photograph??

I had the same dilema. We just returned from the cruise, and we did the Nassau Dolphin/Blue Lagoon beach day last Monday. I had purchased an expensive digital camcorder with still photo capability befor the trip, and felt the justification would be this day. I signed my two kids (DD 8, DS 6) for...

    Are we crazy?

We (my DS-6 & DD-8) are booked for the Wonder 4-day on 3/24. This is Spring Break for most of the nation, and I've been told "the ship is full". I'm having visions of Ft. Lauderdale mayhem with crowds. Is this a 'not so great time to cruise'? When (for the future) is the best time (crowd wise)...

    Help! First timer...

That makes two votes I've received for No Mugs. Thanks for the advice. Are drinks free at Castaway with lunch? For that matter is lunch part of the deal there, or is it available at a special Disney Price?

    Help! First timer...

Hi, I'm a single parent travelling on Mar. 24th (Wonder) with my two kids (F-8 & M-6). Any advice on how best to schedule our four days? We have the Dolphin Encounter planned for Nassau, but that's it. Also do we need to pack all sodas or is the 'unlimited refill' mug the way to go - is it...
