February 14, 2013: 3 night Bahama- Valentines Day on the Dream

So, 3pm at Evolution? That works for us! Anyone else have input on this? Also, we get name badges and lanyards? Does this happen at check-in? Is it OK if we wear them infrequently? I hate them with a passion! I will be taking another cruise on the Dream in June 2013 with my niece, and...

February 14, 2013: 3 night Bahama- Valentines Day on the Dream

Vista Cafe looks lovely and central. Times? I was specifically thinking about before the Pirate Party but there are other times as well. Right after everyone gets boarded we could say hello and go grab a snack, perhaps. Also, we are not going into Nassau, so anyone who wants to hang out with...

February 14, 2013: 3 night Bahama- Valentines Day on the Dream

That is a bang-up idea! We love children as well, but look forward to stimulating grown-up conversation at the dinner table. Let's do it! Erica

February 14, 2013: 3 night Bahama- Valentines Day on the Dream

Superb! Will I get a list of the stateroom numbers, group members, names, genders, ages, etc? Awesome. Please be aware that no one in our cabin drinks alcohol, so I politely ask that bottles of champagne be sent to that OTHER gorgeous redhead. Thanks!! Will we have time between dinner and...

Am i getting sick?!?! We leave on Saturday what do I do?!

I am both a nurse and a Disney freak. Here is what I would do: sleep, sleep, sleep. Drink plenty of both clear and Vitamin C-rich fluids like fresh orange and pineapple juice. Eat soup. Warm baths. Wash hands frequently. Sleep and rest are the most important thing!

Wah! So sorry we missed the cut-off for the FE. We will definitely have our FE with us, and bring along a few bits of pixie dust for little ones. Can't wait to cruise with you all! Erica

LOSE BEFORE YOU CRUISE - Support Thread for all Cruisers

I am also following a modified South Beach Diet. I have about 15-20 pounds to lose. I have gained a TON of weight since getting married and stopping drinking alcohol. I attribute this to the "All Cupcake" diet.:rotfl2: I am with you!! Drop the cupcake!!

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding SBP/The Attic/Lower Morocco

Yay! We just signed our Letter of Agreement and sent in our deposit. Now I am in daily summit meetings with Richard over what is and what isn't "tacky." This is a man who decorates his house with dragons and shields but balks at any flower color other than white. He is harmless-just...

    Desert Party Question

The style of your invitations should indicate dress for any party-technically. The more formal the invitations and the time of day generally direct guests on matters of attire for weddings. However, as the world changes and families change, so do weddings. All aspects of your ceremony and...

~Dani and Bryan's Hopefully Fairy Tale Wedding on a Budget PJ and almost TR 12/5/10

Who cares about how everyone else does it (veils, shoes, etc)? If I want a red dress and purple shoes and a pink wig and glitter cannons, that's what I want, right? Whose wedding is it anyway? Fortunately, I was raised by hippies, so I don't have to deal with many wedding traditionalists...

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding WDW 5/7/2011

Dress by Dolly Couture-same dress but with short sleeves. Shoes by Pour La Victoire And, OMG-these shoes make my legs look SOOOOO supermodel. Too bad I'll have to ditch them for the reception. They are pretty comfy for super-high heels but I will totally bust my butt after one...

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding WDW 5/7/2011

Back from taking a Saturday trip down to WDW to see the new Main St. Electrical Parade at The MK. This time I was able to talk the guys into a quick side trip over to the Boardwalk Inn Resort area. Loved the BWI. It's very intimate-not at all like most of Disney's other Deluxe resorts, which...

We had our first telephone meeting with Reverend Jack Day last week, and he is just as lovely as everyone says he is. We can't wait to work with him-he seems perfect!

I'm probably going to go with the "Danika" dress. It is made by a company called Little Flowers. I have e-mailed a few times with the principle designer, and she is able to make the changes to the dress I requested (adding short sleeves and a fuller, darted skirt). She was really sweet and...

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding WDW 5/7/2011

I'm going to ditch the DIY floral idea. Even though it will save many hundreds of dollars, I don't want my resort room (or anyone else's) crowded with coolers full of flowers, and I don't want to spend the day before my wedding stripping the thorns off roses and assembling all of the bouquets...

    Brenda & Marty June 2010

One of my rules of thumb when planning has been, "Will this be a tiny detail that will be forgotten or will it contribute to everyones' enjoyment of the day?" That's why I have put the bulk of my budget into food/beverages and entertainment. It is scaldingly hot down here in Florida. The...

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding WDW 5/7/2011

We are back from Star Wars Weekend at Hollywood Studios and I was hoping to sneak over to the resorts and get a quick peek at some of the actual Boardwalk, maybe the Attic, Sea Breeze Point, etc. I was outvoted by the boys with me (fair is fair) who wanted to get on with the Star Wars stuff, so...

Erica and Richard's Happily Ever After Wedding WDW 5/7/2011

Stalk away! All are welcome. I can't wait to start planning "for real". The pre-planner with whom I have been e-mailing has been extremely helpful. I figure if we have to spend $7500 minimum anyway, I'd like to spend the bulk of that on FOOD. I am a girl with my priorities. My MOH...
