Disney is usually great about cancelations for a good reason. My cousin had to postpone her honeymoon trip by a year when her DF was accepted to the police force. Disney not only cancel without fee they gave them a great deal for their honeymoon/1st anniversary land and sea trip.

I've used my Disney Rewards card to pay for the dinning plan at checkin. I had put the deposit for DVC on the card when we bought in 2008. Got $500 in rewards points. Worked out to free dining for Dh and I in 2009!:thumbsup2

I loved the Wilderness Lodge! DH and I stayed there is 2008. In fact it help seal the deal on buying DVC. No way were we going back to a vaule resort after that! Your family will love it! We would take the boat to the Cont then take the Monorail over to Epcot or the other Monorail resorts...
