    Mayonnaise dip with bread service

Not gonna lie, I really enjoyed the garlic mayo 😂 I did think it was kind of odd, but I liked it. Then again, I'm a mayo fan in general. Sadly for me, we only had it one night during our 4 night cruise.

    New champagne in-room delivery policy?

On our September cruise on the Dream my husband surprised me with the package with the champagne, chocolate, and robes, and it was set up in our room when we arrived once rooms were available. We were just 2 adults, so that may make a difference? But at least in our case, it was there waiting.

    First time cruiser question. Seasickness?

On our first cruise, I got really in my head about it and had to leave Palo dinner because I thought I was getting sick. It was dark outside and we were seated facing out a window and I remember the little chain on the window shade kept clinking against the window, just reminding me how much we...

Really can't decide whether to do Palo Brunch or not.

We just did our second cruise on the Dream last month and did Palo brunch for the first time. Honestly, it was just way too much food for us and we felt trapped for 2 hours 😂 Don't get me wrong, the food was great and people really rave about it, but it just wasn't worth it for us. I could see...

    Contact DCL Services

I gave up on calling, but I've had good luck with the chat lately. The "Live Chat" icon shows up for me on the right side of the screen on my reservations page and sometimes it's grey and says they're too busy, but I just keep checking back and eventually it lets me in.

Beginning 9/13 All DCL Cruisers to Bahamas Must Take Covid Test at Port

I had a feeling this was coming, but at least it's only at the port! Definitely adds a bit of anxiety, but I get it.

    Experiences with QSFB?

To request a location you just email the general College Program email: wdw.college.recruiting@disney.com I requested a location through that email and got a response back saying that there were no guarantees but it would be noted in my file, which is apparently the same email everyone gets...

What are the benefits of being a campus rep?

Really? Interesting! When I was a campus rep during spring/fall 2008 we were sent a blue pass and didn't have to work. I guess they've gotten stingy ;) But seriously, I LOVED being a campus rep. I'm sure the above poster has told you everything you need to know and things may have changed...

    Resort Custodial question.

hahaha, i knew when i saw the title of this thread that it was going to be you ;) One of my friends picked up a custodial shift at a resort. I'll send him a message and ask him about his experience.

    Parties

I have to say though, Buffalo Wild Wings should be experienced at least once. I had good times there. And you can ride the CP bus there (which is an experience all by itself...)

    Apartments

Yeah, they tell you that you can only put up one bulletin board per person. No command strips, no hooks, no tacky putty stuff, no nails, no scotch tape, no nothing. Honestly, it's kind of ridiculous, haha. I guess I understand where they're coming from, but it's like a jail cell in there if...

8 roommates:(an extra roommate) - how to fix?

Yeah, you can totally have overnight visitors as long as they're in your complex. Regardless of what sex they are. For instance, if you wanted to have a sleepover with other people from your complex: allowed. Now, if it becomes a problem, that's a different story. It's kinda like playing...

8 roommates:(an extra roommate) - how to fix?

Oh! And I forgot about the air conditioning issue. In the housing meeting they tell us to not set it below a certain temperature because the AC unit could freeze up. I just looked it up in my old College Program Guide and this is the quote from it: " When you are running the A/C you...

8 roommates:(an extra roommate) - how to fix?

Ugh, I hate those kinds of situations. I understand that couples want to be together and all, but when you're living in such a cramped environment to begin with it's just not fair to everyone else in the apartment. On my first CP we had a guy stay over in our 4-bedroom every night and he would...

Accepted into a role I did not ask for

Really?? Where did you work? I never had a bad experience with it. Like I said, they wanted us to sell and engage with guests, but I never had to pressure anyone. And I've honestly never been pressured by cast members when I was a guest! They've been there if I needed help and offered...

Accepted into a role I did not ask for

I agree with you. My first CP was my first job and I was put in QSFB too (and then was switched randomly which i know I've talked about in another thread...). But the fact remains that I had no experience and they placed me in that role. I think they do it just because most people don't...

Accepted into a role I did not ask for

Thankfully merch at Disney isn't like that. I hate having to sell people stuff they don't want. At Disney we had promotions sometimes like "spend $20 and you can get this watch for $10" that we had to suggest to guests when they checked out. But it wasn't too bad. If they weren't interested...

    Merchandise

I think there are advantages and disadvantages with both options, just like it is with pretty much everything on the CP, haha. I worked a bunch of places on my last CP. I worked the "big" store in DHS (Mickey's of Hollywood), a smaller clothing store (keystone), the autograph store, the store...

    Questions about Attractions

Oh, and another tidbit is that there are some attractions that no one actually works...For instance when I worked in Fantasyland attractions I worked Dumbo and Mickey's Philharmagic, but I also was technically responsible for Ariel's Grotto. We never went over to the grotto but to occasionally...

    Questions about Attractions

Attractions also includes Disney Quest at Downtown Disney! And I've heard of some people getting attractions at Wide World of Sports...which I think involves taking tickets and seating people at events.
