FastPass+ FAQ — SERVICE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Would it be helpful to be in the same room on different computers? I'm wondering if we will need to confer about anything. And when you say I should keep the AK booking, I assume you mean FOP right?

FastPass+ FAQ — SERVICE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The 60 day window for my first to WDW since the advent of FP+ is on Dec. 19. And here I thought planning a trip was complicated before.... My question is about logistics. This a big extended family trip (11 people) and naturally we aren't all doing the same things at the same time. Some of...

Prepping for getting FastPass 60 days out!

Can you explain how one practices booking FPs? This is my first trip to WDW since they started FP+. All I can say is that I am delighted Disneyland doesn't have them yet.

FastPass+ FAQ — SERVICE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

I just made ADRs for our trip in February. This is our first trip since fast pass+ started, and all I can say is holy moly and good grief. Thank goodness for this thread.

Christmas week 2016 - survival tips?

I'm looking at visiting DL Decmber 28-30. I know it will be insane, but going earlier in the month isn't an option. If I want to see DL in all its Christmas glory it has to be then. My family of 5 (kids 17, 15, and 13) will stay at either the DLH or GC. I'm assuming the parks will open at...

    Fantasmic! FASTPASS Testing-NOW (April 22-27)

I don't really understand why people wait for hours to see Fantasmic. We saw it last week and while it was a great show, we walked in at 8:15 and got seats in the far left section up at the top and they were fine. Would we have had better seats if we had lined up at 6:30? Probably, but instead...

DHS Show Priority - Which ones are your MUST SEES?!

The Little Mermaid show is cute, but unless you have little kids or are really into Ariel, I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. If you walk up and can get in 5 minutes before it starts, fine. I wouldn't wait much more than that to see it.

    Back from trip last week

We got back on Friday from a seven day trip and it was great. I'm going to do a trip report, but I thought I'd post a few thoughts here first. We had really impressive service everywhere - both parks and hotels. Either I'm getting older or the roller coasters are getting more intense. I...

Please convince me I don't need a stroller

I would plan on renting a stroller, but I would just rent the ones available in the parks. There is a ton of walking in Disney, and most four year olds will get tired. Having the stroller option will allow you to stay in the parks longer. Get the double stroller so you have room for the seven...

December weather for a Christmas trip?

We went the first weekend in December a couple of years ago, and one morning was so cold my kids and I wore long underwear under our clothes. It wasn't even 40 degrees when we started our morning at DHS. We did go swimming one afternoon when the temp. made it to the low 70s, but we were...

Hmmm, rethinking the whole not making a lot of meal res.

This is why I make an ADR for lunch and dinner every day. We may not make all of them, and I will cancel when I'm sure we won't make it, but I want to to have the option of a sitting down to a relaxing meal.

    Tired of people saying AGAINNNN

While I love my Disney vacations, I also love taking trips to other places (NYC, Chicago, Grand Canyon, Rome, Ireland among others). So let's say the WS at Epcot is one your favorite places at WDW. I would think that might make you want to visit one of those countries. No? Why not? Or...

    Pirate and Princess Party

We went in 2008, and it had the best parade and fireworks I've ever seen at Disney - even better than at the MVMCP. It's too bad it wasn't more popular. I would love to go again.

    More questions re ETwB

Our first time at MK on our trip will be an EMH evening. I'm hoping that by 11pm or midnight the line won't be too long. We'll see. It would be nice to do it then and not need to spend valuable crowd free morning time doing it. Also, my 14 and 12 year old daughters want a role in it, and...

Newly preggo and doing the parks

I have three children and if any family member, but especially a parent, had said they "were a bit bummed" about the pregnancy because of the timing, I would have been hurt and mystified as to how they could feel that way.

Newly preggo and doing the parks

I went to Disney when I was 24 weeks pregnant and I had a great time. Definitely follow the advice of other to drink a lot - and I mean a lot - of water. I noticed an increase in Braxton-Hicks contractions, which can be caused by dehydration. I was fine, but it caused me some anxiety. I...

    Bed Bugs at SSR

The briefest of internet searches will bring up numerous scientific studies from this century - not the 1960s- that highlight the dangers of DDT. Not that it really matters in this context. The use of highly toxic chemicals might be warranted in areas of the world with high rate of malaria...

What time can I expect to get to DHS?

We are starting the day at 4:30am, leaving for the airport at 5am, and DH patience for lines and delays is not great. He has a friend who had less than a magical experience with DME (took 2 hours to get to the resort) so he decided getting a cab is quicker. If it were up to him, we would be...

What time can I expect to get to DHS?

Our flight lands at 10am, we (me, husband, 3 kids) won't have any checked baggage, and we will probably take a cab to the Poly. My two questions are: 1. Is it reasonable to estimate that we will get to our hotel by 11am? 2. If 1. is correct, is it reasonable to estimate that we will get...

    Help!? AKL or Poly??

For all of those who don't like how the rooms at the Poly are dark, that is being addressed. Tikiman's website has pictures of the renovated rooms, and they are much lighter than the old rooms.
