Where is a store near DW to buy cheap trading pins?

While we were visiting WDW last week we stopped at one of the Disney outlets (I believe it is actually called Characters Outlet) and found some bins of marked down pins for $3.99 each. This store is in the Premium Outlets mall (very large outlet mall). We were staying near Hwy 192 and Hwy 535...

    May In Disneyworld

We are going back for our second trip in May (last trip was May 2000)!! Only 18 days left!! Six years ago the weather was great during May - not too hot, not too humid, very little rain.

How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Another great update HG - thanks! By the way, when my kids were younger they never slept past 6:30, or 7:00 at the very latest. I can certainly relate to that part of the story. All the kind-hearted suggestions we received didn't help, it's just the way our kids were. There is hope though -...

    Paying it forward

We are going to be in WDW May 14th-20th (me, DW, DS14, and DD12). I think my kids will get a kick out of sending these off to make someone else's day. Just PM me name, address, favorite characters and if there is a special message you would like on the post card.

    disney pin trading questions

(and me too)... I found another post on DIS that mentioned MOUSEPINSONLINE as a site to look. I was able to get a decent variety of pins in the $1.75 - $2.50 range. I think they had better value than the ebay sellers I could find.

OK..We're Finally REALLY going to do it!

We have planned an airboat ride when we visit in May - haven't done this before, but it sounds like fun. There are several companies in the area that provide them.

    Star Tours & motion sickness

There is another thread on the use of ginger to help with motion sickness, and it seems to help a lot of people. I think I will look for the giner capsules before we go again.

    Is POC worth staying home?

IMHO, it is not worth planning around one attraction, regardless of what it is. There is usually something you want to see closed for one reason or another, and often you don't know far enough to plan around it anyway. I say pick the time for the trip baed on schedules and expected weather and...

Has anyone taken their kids on a ride and regretted it?

Our first trip to WDW was in 2000, when my DS was 8, and my DD 6. The first ride we did on the first day was Test Track - I couldn't believe that it scared them both. It made it a little harder to get them to try other rides, but eventually they did get adventurous enough to enjoy all but the...

What percentage of people do you think go to WDW without a plan?

I think it is a must to do some planning, but not to the point that you have a step by step list you have to follow. Here is what I do: I like plan out what days you will visit the different parks (EMH hours, wether you are staying on site or not). Then you can make a few ADRs, and see if...

    Which Fantasmic show?

As long as the length of the day is not an issue, I would plan for the late show. The first show is typically more crowded, and you can either eat or take in a couple more attractions while the first show is going on. I think it is easier to get a decent seat for the later show without waiting...

    Space saver bags for luggage?

I also use the space saver bags for travel. Ours were purchased at a Samsonite outlet store at the nearby outlet mall, and seemed to be a better deal than buying other places. I like to take a couple of empty ones to put laundry in - it is amazing how much room the dirty clothes take up on the...

Don't want to offend with this question, but I'm sure I will

Our family was at WDW in 2000 on Gay Days week. We were unaware of the event but definitely noticed it when MK was so crowded on that saturday. I did not feel like those there for Gay Days were intimidating or trying to monopolize anything - it was just much more crowded than the other days...

    Discount Magic Kingdom Tickets--PLEASE HELP

The AAA discount is pretty minimal, and the AAA travel stores usually only stock certain ticket variaties (day and options combinations). I believe if you need something they don't stock they can order it for you, though. When I priced it out it looked like TicketMania was the better deal for...

    offsite question about Disney Dinning....

Yes you can. We are going to stay off site in May and have made several ADRs. I believe the only timing difference is that off site guests have to wait until 180 days ahead (for most dining) for each day of their trip, while on-property guests can make all their ADRs 180 days from the 1st day...
