Great to know. If I do it will I be risking being kicked out or something. I have read the last three pages 4 times now and I am feeling nervous about doing it now
you're not going to get kicked out. either it will work, or it won't.

I have read the first post probably 5 or 6 times now and I think I understand SDFP pretty well, but I would like some clarification to make sure I will be doing this correctly. We have a free dining package coming up in November for 2 adults and an infant (2 year old). The infant has a magic band from a previous trip that was never linked to any tickets since she didn't need it and won't need it for this trip either . Can we get SDFP using her old band and then when we buy 2 new magic bands and link them under phantom profiles, we would make them under 3 as well so that we don't have to buy tickets for the phantoms since we have a package?

there is no reason to add them as a guest to your room UNLESS you are trying to get free magicbands for them from disney. If you are planning to buy 2 magicbands and link them to phantoms, there is no reason to have phantoms in your room or to have them be under 3. The SDFP works the same whether you are staying on disney property or not... unless there are linked tickets that you use for admission to the park that day there is no advantage to being onsite in a disney resort.

Ahh gotcha...thanks! And, am I correct that I can use my two year old's magic band for SDFP since it will not have a ticket on it?

Yes you can do that.

You didn't mention this but just for info purposes, you couldn't use the infant's old band and the infant's new band to book separate SDFP bc they will be clones of one another. (this is correct info, yes, @hiroMYhero?)

Thank you! Yes, I think you're correct that I couldn't use the old one and the new one to get separate SDFP.

Hi ScrapYap, I think this may have changed:

"Can I add guests to my existing resort reservation through my MDE?
No, you would have to call guest services to add guests to your existing resort reservation."

I was able to add three new people to my room only reservation online by clicking on "Change Reservation" under MDE (through the website, not sure about the app!). I originally made the reservation back in July.

I've got my fingers crossed for the SDFP loophole to remain open until our November trip! :)

Great catch! I'll update the first page. I wonder if you can now change the number of guests on an existing ADR.

Hello, if my following question is in his thread, I apologize.

What are the best/closest kiosk to make SDFP at each park ?

I'm curious about this too! I've heard there are kiosks in City Hall at MK which aren't on the map. I think the ones by Philharmagic get pretty busy.

Thank you Karrie! Fingers crossed, going in Nov and will be sure to report back.

I'm not finding this to be the case on any of the ways that I've tried. I'm seeing that you still have to call guest services to change or add guests. Maybe some other people will weigh in yay or nay on this issue ...

Hmm, that's strange. I just did it a couple days ago. It's a room only reservation at the campground. I went under "My Reservations" through the website, and under my confirmation number was the option to "Change Reservation." I arrived at a page called "Reservation Details" and had the option to change my vacation offer, travel dates, travel party, resort, room type, and the option to add ground transportation. I clicked on "Travel Party" and was able to add three phantoms to my reservation. Maybe that's why I didn't have to call? Because the phantoms already had profiles in my MDE? So strange!

That's a lot of plussed functionality - maybe being rolled out a few resorts at a time or with other parameters. Eventually it will probably be available on all resort reservations - which will save everyone a lot of trouble! Makes sense that you were able to choose from your friends and family list from your MDE, including the phantoms you had set up. Sounds great.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to report back on the success of their trip. Many of us have enjoyed hearing that you had a great time and that SDFP added to the fun. Maybe we could do a roll call - just post a smiley if everything SDFP worked out for you - and a frown if it didn't!

Hello, if my following question is in his thread, I apologize.

What are the best/closest kiosk to make SDFP at each park ?

Take a look at Mesaboy2's discussion in the sticky at the top of this sub-forum. It has a list and a link to a Kiosk map.

Ah, okay. I didn't realize these features weren't available to everyone - sorry for the confusion!

Also, FYI, I have similar options for dining! Under the confirmation number, I've got a "change reservation" option. It allows me to change the party size, date, and time, as long as there is availability (it does a search under the new parameters). I've been able to tweak reservation times without booking new reservations.

I think the poster was interested in people's opinions as to the best kiosks for those with previous experience (like the least busy). I would guess that the unmarked ones would be good choices!

I think a lot of it depends on what your plans are and where you're going. At MK, the ones right inside Town Hall are rarely busy and great for when you walk in the park. But if you're rushing to 7D right at RD, it doesn't make sense to take the time and stop there at that point and it's way out of the way to return to so just dealing with the Philharmagic ones then might be easiest. Similarly, the International Gateway ones at Epcot are easy to use, but obviously not if you're not coming in that way. For Epcot I normally just use the main ones in the breezeways on either side and have never had a wait (lately, since they changed to 4th FPP on your phone). At HS I really like the ones by TSMM as they are rarely crowded or staffed (there are sometimes CM's nearby but they seem to be more on stroller duty but will help if needed). I do see lines at the ToT ones and the ones right in the middle of the park there frequently. At AK I've never had a problem with the ones on Discovery Island (right in the middle) so haven't searched out others.

I just tried to increase my party size at the campground and it won't met me do it! :(
