is Jungle Cruise the worst ride at MK?

It's been years since I've ridden it, but I always liked it a lot. This time we're going to save it for our nighttime visit to MK. I've never ridden it at night, and the folks on this board say it's a whole new experience. Because we'll be in Animal Kingdom the day before, I do think it might seem a little hokey after seeing all the real animals and doing the safari that day. That's why I've saved it for nighttime to give it a little "umph".

With most of the older rides though, it is about nostalgia. I rode Jungle Cruise when I was a little kid. It, along with Small World, Peter Pan, and Haunted Mansion, are just the epitome of what "going to Disney World" is all about to me.

We enjoyed Jungle Cruise. It's just a simple, corny, funny ride. We enjoy it for what it is. The attraction I really didn't like was Tikki Room.

You just have to walk into the Tiki Room knowing ahead of time that it's going to be a trippy hot mess and that you would probably enjoy it more if you were under the influence of a controlled substance. LOL.

LMAO.... Okay, that I could see.

I have a handful, I'd rate at the bottom and JC is closer to the top than the bottom...

Astro Orbitors(never been on them)
Stich(never)
Speedway(maybe once when daughter was young)
Treehouse(once. too much effort for a mediocre attraction)

To each their own, but JC is classic MK.

Love the JC, I agree though if you don't have a good skipper it can be kind of lame. I love standing in the line and listening to the announcements. I also love Swiss Family Treehouse, go at night and you see the whole park . My only complaint about it is that people go too fast through it and I can't stop and really enjoy the rooms, the movie was one of my son's favorites and I love the book.

Jungle Cruise is far from the worst ride at MK, in my opinion, although I would not be happy to wait 30 minutes for it with a FP. I skip it if the standby line is more than 20-30 minutes. But Stitch is MUCH worse, as is the Tomorrowland Speedway. I wouldn't go on those if there was no wait at all.

I guess one might not like it if one didn't know what it was - a corny, silly, nolstogic boat ride with outdated animatronics. I loved it the first time I went to WDW 40 years ago, and it's still fun.

I think you missed the point! It's supposed to be corny! Some people like the corny jokes. It's not your taste. Next!

We always like Jungle Cruise. Personal tastes on this one I guess. Amazing that it took so long with an FP though, it's always been a lot less than that when we FP'd it

I've had some "why am I riding this" times and I've had some "you're the best skipper they have" great times.

JC is a classic! The skipper can make it or breaks it though.

Years ago JC was part of a VMK Tour and you learned some really neat trivia about the attraction.

I love the Jungle Cruise! Definitely one of my favorite rides in the MK, and top 10 in all of WDW imo

We love Jungle Cruise - no matter how many times we hear the same corny jokes :) The skipper definitely has a lot to do with how good the ride is though!
