is Jungle Cruise the worst ride at MK?

Just came back from my first vacay to WDW and we stayed at AKL and had just visited AK Kilimanjaro Safari and went on jungle cruise. Maybe we were not impressed with the stuffed/inflatable animals because we had seen some many LIVE animals at AKL and AK.

This was far and away the LONGEST wait, even with a FP it took more than 30 minutes to get on a boat. My wife and I thought this was the worst ride/attraction of our entire trip.

Can anyone tell me what the fascination (other than nostalgia) is of Jungle Cruise?

We love the Jungle Cruise, not because of the animals, but because of the humor.

I think Stitch would likely win (in a vote) for worst attraction at MK, but you could also consider Country Bear Jamboree, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Hall of Presidents and Carousel of Progress. Other than Stitch, all of these rides have their own fanbase.

The worst?! I think you mean the BEST ride at MK!

For me, it's the "it's so bad, it's good" mentality. Yes, the jokes and animatronics are corny and dated, but with that comes the nostalgia of MK early days. Plus, you get a nice rest for the duration of the ride and a refreshing spray from the backside of water!

Disappointing to hear your wait was so long even with FP...I've always used a 4th or 5th FP for Jungle Cruise, or ridden it towards park closing or during first evening parade times and usually never waited more than 15 mins standby.

I can think of a few things worse. Speedway, Stitch, the Aladdin/Dumbo copy (is it necessary to have the same ride twice in one park?)

I agree regarding Tomorrowland Speedway. We went to DLR first a couple of times when my kids were very young and DS was CRAZY about Autopia. What a disappointment it was a few years later to go to WDW and ride TS!

Pretty sure the Tomorrow Land speedway is the worst ride at Magic Kingdom.
In the heat of the day with a long standby wait, it can be pretty bad. But there's nothing like a nice leisurely ride on the Speedway after dark! The wait usually goes way down, and you won't have to endure the hot sun beating down on you in the line. The scenery is pretty cool at night- we do the Speedway at least once every trip, and always late in the evening.

lol, it wasn't more than 70 degrees any day last week when we went, so waiting in line in the sun was a good thing. helped warm you up.

Just because a ride is "popular", doesn't equate it to being a fun attraction. "Over-Hype" is the word that comes to mind. I'm not talking about attractions like Country Bear jamboree or Hall of presidents doesn't really compare to an actual ride.

Tomorrowland Speedway and stitch had some redeeming qualities but were far superior to Jungle Cruise. If I want hokey comedy, I'll listen to the democratic/republican speeches.

Jungle cruise = fail
