Wonder--10-day Hawaii to Vancouver 9/17/2015

What time would you leave Aulani to get to the ship on the 17th, so I am not sitting in traffic? 10-11am?

If you have an early PAT, then I would go earlier. Traffic should clear when work starts...9:00ish.

Me! I'm going to be on the Sept 17th sailing from Honolulu! SO excited! I was on the October 2012 sailing and promised myself whenever DCL did another Hawaii cruise, one way or another, I would be on that ship!

I was able snag one night pre-cruise at Aulani on my DVC points and am wait listed for the 2nd night. In case it doesn't come through, I also have booked a couple of nights at the Outrigger Waikiki, but really hoping to be back at Aulani again, even if only for a day. DCL must have snared a really big block of rooms at Aulani as I have never had issues of availability there when booking months out.

It should be an amazing cruise and I am super psyched we'll be docked at Maui for 2 days! Maui no ka oi!!

The 13th, Squirrel? NICE! Nope, I'm flying out of FL on the 15th, but I'll bet you have one or two folks at least on that flight that will be on our cruise! Hope you find some!

We are also on the wait list for Aulani using DVC points...we were able to book a studio on the 15th, but the 14th and the 16th we are wait listed. We were surprised that this would happen...never have been to Aulani or Hawaii before but heard that the resort is huge so didn't quite understand why there was no availability. We said that we would wait and see what happens...but we booked the other two nights using Cash and keeping our fingers crossed that we get to use our points there! We are also coming from Florida too!

Nice! I'll bet there are a lot of FL folks heading out for one or the other DCL cruises to Hawaii! I did check w/DCL to see what their rates for Aulani would be because it would be nice to have DCL transpiration since I'm only staying 2 nights (hopefully!), but the rates were a bit high. I was able to grab one night in a 1bdrm Island/Gdn view, but since it is likely just me I would prefer an Ocean view Studio for which I am also wait listed.

The good thing for both of us is that we each are waiting for one night at a time which is generally easier to get than a set of consecutive nights. Did you go ahead and make sure to stay on the W/L until 7 days out as opposed to 31?

You are going to LOVE Aulani! Gorgeous, gorgeous and very special place! Be sure to go over to the DVC forums and read some good stuff about Aulani since you've never been. Happy planning!!

We made sure to stay on the wait list until 7 days out...and I think we have to cancel our cash reservations 5 days prior. So either way we are covered! I am super excited about finally traveling to Hawaii! It has been my dream ever since I was little to visit and I am so happy that DCL brought back the Hawaii cruise...we couldn't go back in 2012 because of work schedules and such...but I heard it was great!

Now if I can make about 20 lbs disappear before then…. LOL!! Like you, I'm covered with a cash rez for my 2 nights in case I can't secure 2 nights on points, but I'm hopeful they will come through since we are still almost 5 months out.
