Thanks for posting about the room finder. I'd paid for touring plans this year but hadn't yet discovered the room finder! Love how there's a pic from every room.

Curious what @dansdad what you've found inaccurate? Are the listings of standard/water view correct? If so, I'm excited to have actual room numbers to request!

Just a sample of errors I have found. I stopped looking after a while.
At CBR I have found them showing no King rooms in a building that actually has 12 of them.
At CBR showing no connecting rooms in a building that actually has 10 of them.
At CBR showing a entire building of rooms having the exact same view that was incorrect. The pictures listed were from a building on the other side of the lake.
At Beach Club I found 24 rooms had the same exact view picture and they were all incorrect. The pictures listed were from the Villas side of the resort but listed in the regular Beach Club.
At Beach Club showing no rooms with a daybed in an area that actually has 28 rooms with daybeds.
At WL showing no rooms with bunk beds in an area that actually has 12 of them.
At WL showing pictures of the woods for 22 courtyard view rooms.
At WL showing pictures of the service area for 8 woods view rooms.

Thanks Dansdad - I'm really debating the upgrade. On the room finder some buildings show just one water view room and we need two rooms so to upgrade would eliminate that building, if indeed this tool was accurate but I'm starting to doubt it's that precise now...

Has anyone been able to book a room at CSR from Oct 4 - Oct 5 2015? I have been trying since January, and that is the only night that I haven't been able to book during my stay. We are planning on going from Sept 29 - Oct 12.

Hi... We arrive at CSR in 26 days.... We are VERY Excited... This will be our 3rd stay and in the past we have stayed in the Casitas area which was really great. We requested the Cabana's area this time but who knows if we will get it. I am going to do online checkin and was wondering when you get the text if they tell you what area you are located in or is it just a room number? If you get an area that you don't want to stay in (Rancho's) can you go to the lobby and try to get it changed?

Also, I read somewhere there is a website you can access for CSR laundry facilities that shows how much longer you have on the clothes you are washing/drying. Does anyone have this website?

THANK YOU!!!

Just checked my email from last week, and it showed:

Your Disney Resort hotel: Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Your Resort area: Disney's Animal Kingdom® Resort Area
Your room number: 9600
Your room location: 2nd FloorCabanasBuilding 9B

As for laundry, all of that information is posted in the laundry room.

Thank you so much!!!! Did you like your location? Was the bus system good while you were there?

We loved the location. While it was technically closer to bus stop 1, we usually took the slightly longer walk to bus stop 4 to make sure we'd always have a seat. The buses were very frequent, except when we were waiting for the MK bus for our 8 am ADR. We arrived at the bus stop at 7:05 am each time, and we had to wait a little over 20 minutes. One time, we just missed the bus by about 10 seconds, so it was probably just really bad timing. Plus, CSR is centrally located, so every trip to a park seemed really quick. I have no complaints about the buses.

thanks for the review! I literally *just* posted a question about this in another thread. we're staying in 9B next week--it sounds like the consensus is to use bus stop 4 as much as possible.

how did you find the business class lounge? I'd love to hear any reviews you want to share/anything (good or bad!) that stands out. getting so pumped for our stay!

First off, I'm not stalking you. Honestly! :)

We stayed at 9B on our first stay at CSR, and did use Stop 1 exclusively. We stayed in the 8s the last three years, so Stop 4 was the closest. Regardless, I'd still walk to Stop 4 if I were you. Much better stop, plus the walk around the lake is beautiful.

I'd better stop reading now, or I'll regret switching to CBR this year!

!

If you don't mind- When you stayed in 8a did you have standard or water view?

no way, the feedback is so helpful, and only gets me more amped up about the trip! we had to cancel at one point and have bounced around resorts a lot, so we only settled on CSR a couple days ago! I really haven't had much of a chance to research the resort or to talk with folks who have stayed there before, and it's so exciting and encouraging to hear such positive feedback!

CBR looks beautiful--I love the new decor in the rooms. I hope you have a great time (and I really do appreciate all your comments!)

Not sure, to be honest. We weren't lakeside, but had this view:

That's the small pond across from the bridge from the Cabanas to El Centro. Don't know if that was technically "water view". We have done water view every year since, though, and got a lake view. We request water view all the time now.

Edit: crap, sorry - misread your post. That was 9B. We were water view in 8A. I'll post a shot of our view in a minute :)

...I'm panned too far to the right here, but you get the idea.

Here are the Cabanas from over near El Centro. 8B is on the far left.

To be honest, I was slightly disappointed with the lounge. Our last stay, we splurged and stayed Club Level at the Poly. If you've never stayed Club Level, then you might think the Business Class is fantastic, but we were a bit let down comparing it. I thought the lounge would be slightly less hours and food, but somewhat similar. Breakfast was either muffins or danishes, with a few other options like cereal or yogurt and granola. It was just fine way start the day. Starting at 5 pm, you could go in and they'd have potato chips or tortilla chips as the snack. So the 1st issue was that we'd sometimes get back to the resort around 3 pm, and I would've loved to grab a beer or a sangria from the lounge and then hit the pool, but I had to wait til 5 pm. My other issue was that if you wanted a beer or wine or sangria, you had to ask the worker there every time. At Poly Club Level, it was just out and you helped yourself to as many as you wanted. The other huge difference was dessert. Poly CL had a huge selection of desserts that changed nightly. At CSR BC, it was always big cookies... every night. I know you get what you pay for, and Poly CL is a lot more expensive... I just didn't know it would be so much different.

All that being said, I still think Business class is worth every penny, for the room location, and the ease of grabbing a quick breakfast to start your day. Enjoying a cookie with a sangria is icing on the cake. I don't want my previous paragraph to sound like I was complaining too much. We had a great time, and I'm sure you will as well.

For the record, it was actually a quicker walk from bus stop 4 than bus stop 1, when returning to the resort. It's a longer distance, but the bus takes another 2 minutes to get to bus stop 1, and by then you're already back at your room. Another perk about Bus stop 4, you can see it in the distance if you walk along the parking lot. That way, if you see the bus you want is arriving, you can start running, and the bus driver will probably see you and wait. If there's no bus there, you can take your sweet time.

Just returned from our first CSR stay. It'll probably be our last...the grounds are lovely, it just wasn't our cup of tea. Business class lounge was fine, probably a better bargain if you drink. I was super disappointed in the lack of upkeep on the quiet pools, though. The Cabanas pool was too dirty for swimming during the last three days of our stay. We kept checking every morning expecting it to have been cleaned, only to find it hadn't. This was our first time encountering this problem ever at a Disney resort, so it really stuck out. The main pool though was very well tended to, at least.

That's strange. We were just there in Business Class for 16 nights in December and the pool was immaculate.

Maybe the pool cleaner quit? LOL

Any CSR veterans, how accurate do you find the Touring Plans room finder tool? I'm debating jumping up to water view rooms, as they seem to be located in places that would be nice walk to both pool and main building.
I'm not actually worried about the view (views don't make much sense to me in moderates as there is no balcony, but if a particular view places me in a better location I might just splurge!)
Any thoughts on this?

It's been 100% accurate for me.

Before there were Business Class room I used to book waterview for the same reason. The majority were in locations I liked. I found it drastically increased the odds of getting a room location I desired.

Good Luck!!

The BC lounge is a nice "perk".

I pay extra just to guarantee the Cabanas 9B location. The lounge itself is an extra perk.

It has a continental breakfast. No hot food. Cereal, yogurt, granola, muffins, danish, bagels, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, etc.

The evening has free drinks and snacks. Again nothing hot or fancy. Chips, pretzel's, fruit, veggies, dips and recently added delicious home baked cookies.

They never at any point advertised it or claimed it was "club level", so the comparison to deluxe club level isn't valid.

I probably wouldn't book BC just for the lounge. For us it's the guaranteed room location, which IMO is the premier location at any Mod resort.

Well you've convinced me - it'd be an easier upgrade financially if I didn't have to include PH with the tickets, now if I'm able to get through while enough rooms still remain... Just got the "all circuits are busy now" message on the phone!

thanks so much for taking such time and care to review business class, rchampagne! I really appreciate your thoughts, good and bad. we've never stayed club level, but I've definotsly heard CSR described as club-lite. hah. I'm not positive how many days we'll get in for an evening drink, even though that feels appealing, because of the timing. but I also agree with you, the location is worth the extra cost for us. thanks again!

this is exactly how I'm thinking too. we're both thinking that the lounge might cut it some mornings for breakfast, but not every morning. but the QS restaurant is so close, it's no big deal to run over for some mickey waffles. hah! you're all making me so excited to visit (and keeping my expectations reasonable! hah)!
