I Hate Marshmallow Peeps

And "white chocolate" lambs, and fake "chocolate-y" and "chocolate flavoured" bunnies, and cheap dollar store quality jelly beans, and fruit & nut "crème" eggs, and multi-coloured malt "robin eggs," and probably a dozen more things.

And the foil wrapped Hershey's eggs are too difficult to unwrap in my old age.

But other than those, I love Easter candy. Especially when I buy it half price after Easter. :flower:

Oh yeah, I hate tulips too, and lilies and especially hyacinths. But daffodils are great.

Lol! Right there with you. My kids get very little candy for Easter. DS has braces, so this year he gets some M&Ms and a big pack of Power Rangers, and DD is getting a big pack of Star Wars guys and some Reese's cups. This is the first year that they are fully aware that I am the Easter Bunny, so I'm not going out of my way to do big baskets. They have no idea that these toys are coming, so it will be a great surprise. My son still wants to do our traditional living room Easter egg hunt, but I don't have to fill the eggs. Lol

I love peeps and the fruit/nut/crime eggs. They're probably my favorite Easter candy. I would have been disappointed, if the Bunny had omitted them from my Easter basket. :teeth:

I'm right there with you on the peeps. I never liked them as a child and as an adult I just find them puzzling. I mean, you see mounds and mounds of them for sale but do you actually see anyone partaking? I feel almost the same way about jelly beans. However, do not, I repeat, do NOT get between me and my robin eggs. Especially the blue ones. I will fight you for the last blue robin egg. pirate:

I have a sweet/sad story about Peeps. DH is one of eight kids from a single-parent family (his bio-father left when he was 5). When he was little, he SO wanted a dog, but of course pets were not within the family budget; my MIL worked her tail off just putting food on the table and keeping a roof over their heads. One year at Easter, my DH took one of the peeps from his easter basket and hid it in his sock drawer, to be his pet. He named it Nabisco and checked on it every day, tucked away in a little kleenex-nest in the back of his sock drawer. He had it for about 6 months before my MIL finally found it and threw it out. It pulls at my heartstrings to think of that little boy and his pet peep!

Seriously, I mean...I just...bwhahahahah! :rotfl::laughing::rotfl2:

I hate Peeps too, and the ONLY jelly beans I will ever eat are Jelly Belly. Those cheap waxy ones are just no. We used to ALWAYS have Robin Eggs in our house every Easter because my mom loves them. I used to like them back then but I'm no longer a fan. The malted milk center in the middle is fine but I really dislike that hard candy shell that sticks to your teeth like no tomorrow, not to mention the crazy amount of food coloring they must put in it. I especially stay away from the blue ones unless I want to look like I just ate a Smurf.

Cadbury Creme Eggs, Reese's Eggs, and brand name chocolate in decorative pastel wrappings are my Easter candies of choice. :)

Peep lover here! And my favorite Peeps are the chocolate covered ones. Not just chocolate dipped on the bottom but the ones that are completely covered. Mmmm….And pretty much any Easter candy except for anything with coconut in it. And I pretty much love all Spring/Easter flowers.

And its ok that you don't love Peeps. That just leaves more for me when they are 75% off and I can stock up.

I have always loved Peeps! They're especially good toasted over a campfire. :)

And I love all spring flowers!! I am chomping at the bit to see my daffodils, hyacinths and tulips come up!! :)

I like Peeps OK. Just Born's headquarters is in my city. I really love their spice jelly beans. Second only to Jelly Belly.

I hate Cadbury eggs though. That filly is nasty.

But Robin's Eggs are the best Easter candy ever.

Chocolate crosses really bug me. A lot.

I don't like Peeps, but DS and DH do. And DH will inhale those Robin's Eggs (or Whoppers). I prefer sour jellybeans or Gimbal's (or Jelly Belly, but Gimbal's are cheaper).

No fake chocolates though. Blech.

And yes, I'm buying all the candy at the store the day before Easter (when they put it on half price---if they follow what they've done every holiday for the last 3 years at the Publix up the road). No need for furry creatures to visit or colored boiled unborn baby chickens---DS has declared he is too old for that, and all we do in the wicker containers is sweet stuff.

Oh, if you like coconut, the toasted coconut marshmallows are awesome! I like to pop them in the microwave for a few to get them melty/puffy and then make a smore with them. (can't toast them over a fire, but still so yummy!)

And Reese's cups on smores! Very very sweet, but sooo good.

Have you ever had Peepsters? OMG to die for! They are bite sized, marshmallow-filled and dipped in milk or dark chocolate. None of the crazy colored sugar, just melt in your mouth goodness. Last year I found bags of them at Target, but I haven't checked this year. I went to a Peeps store last weekend and the line was out the door. The store sold Peeps, Mike and Ike, and other Peeps merchandise--stuffed animals, t-shirts, and Peepsters by the pound!
