Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

I'm so excited to join in with everyone, since we just booked our cruise! I'm Sarah, and my boyfriend, Trevor will be joining me. This will be the first Disney cruise for both of us and we can't wait! We're from Tallahassee, so the drive to Port Canaveral isn't too bad. This is both a good and bad thing--while it makes for a short and easy trip, it could help create a habit! :joker:

I work at the Legislature and we're in the thick of our busy season right now. The thing getting me through is daydreaming about September. I'm ready for some relaxation. :boat:

We'll be in SR# 7028. We look forward to meeting you all!

:welcome::welcome::disrocks:

Welcome to the group Sarah! It's sure hard being busy at work and dreaming about September. I am right there with you!

:welcome:to the group!! I say this as I browse the DIS and FB in a second tab while I should really be reviewing power points and getting school work done on my day off. It's just too easy to open a second tab and leave my quizzes behind on the first one :)

FOCUS AMANDA, FOCUS!!! Ok back to my power points :(

I already wish it was a 7 night cruise! It will go by so fast. The next one, for sure.

I agree! Are you thinking of booking while on board? I'm trying to talk Jasesmom into a 7 night Western for Next year. I would love to see the ship all decorated in Christmas.

Aww so many turning 3! I love it! I bummed that she will be 2 when we cruise so she won't be able to join her sister in the kids club though:(

They wont let her in the club because of that? I could have swore they let my daughter. I know she was potty trained. I think if I remember correctly they have to be able to wipe themselves (sorry but that's what they said to me) if they can do that you might get lucky. My fingers are crossed for you.

Hmmm well then we might be lucky! I just seen online that they have to be 3 and that they are pretty strict about it. She is potty trained and in sure by September we will have wiping down! Cross fingers!!

You see Disney's angle on it? They want you to pay for child care because they eat free. No I don't know if that's true it just pop in my head.

We are planning to book while on board. I'm just not sure yet when we want to cruise again. I think maybe next summer while school is on break. I'm not too thrilled about taking them out of school for this cruise. I guess it depends on how the school reacts this time, whether we try another cruise during school. Summer, Thanksgiving or Christmas break are options we are considering for next year.

Im enjoying Jase not being in school ;)....still have a few years :)

I've always wanted to take advantage of the perks of booking on board, but it's just to hard to know when and where we'll want to go. Our 10th anniversary is next year so we're likely planning a bigger trip. I don't know if we'll be able to book on board this time either.

I agree about the "wishing it was 7 nights" as I already do as well.

We were talking about this too. This cruise will be the last vacation I take the kids out of school because Caleb will be going into high school. They can get so far behind at that point.

We are planning to book a dummy cruise and then change it to an Alaskan summer 2017. I would love to cruise at Xmas but the cost is soooo high. We originally planned to sail the exact cruise we are but over Thanksgiving with friends, but the price difference was $1600!!! I couldn't justify that price difference just so we could sail with them. So we booked in September. Now I am restricted to summer vacations after this. I guess I could go without the kids...hmm. That sounds perfect :)

Just book the cheapest and then change it later. They call it a dummy booking. To take advantage of the OBB you actually have to sail within 24 months of the cruise you book on. So we could extend all the way to August 2017. Those days aren't out yet, so book something and change it to what you want later. We are doing this for Alaska in 2017
