Any chatter about more 2016 dates?

Okay, more time to gather some intel. It did seem a little too quiet if the release was 10 days away.

I want to say when they did NYC before they did a few one or two night cruises to nowhere and they did some 5-7 night New England/Eastern Canadian Coast cruises.

The first cruise out of NYC was an 8 night Bahamas on May 25th (awesome cruise!!). They also had three 2-night cruises. One in June, one in July and one in August (did the August one). Then they had some NYC to Canada (that was an awesome cruise as well). Loved being able to take advantage of having the Magic only 30 minutes away!!! That was a great summer!!

Leaving from NYC was incredible!!!

Okay, more time to gather some intel. It did seem a little too quiet if the release was 10 days away.

Quite a few people said it was the 16th that looks like it was based on the 50% deposit expiring which has run up to it before. But now with the new cancelation policy everyone has changed their minds to March. Do expect a lot of chatter and rumours well before that, the time just before a release tends to through up a lot of stuff as ports get confirmed.

Anyone know why DCL takes so long to release dates? All the other cruise lines have had their summer 2016 dates out for months and DCL still hasn't posted. What's the reasoning behind holding out? Wouldn't they want to get in on the deposits like the other cruise lines?

I think they just want us all to sit and wait! The Rome port is showing the Magic in dock on the 20th September 2016 if that helps anyone so I think Europe is def happening but I am waiting eagerly for more details!

My theory is that if they are coming up with some "new and interesting" itineraries they want to get as many people "locked in" (PIF, airline tickets, etc) to their current bookings so they don't have to put those rooms on sale in a few months.

I think they just want us all to sit and wait! The Rome port is showing the Magic in dock on the 20th September 2016 if that helps anyone so I think Europe is def happening but I am waiting eagerly for more details!

I'm really hoping for a fantastic MED cruise. We are doing Greece with NCL in May so I would love a different MED itinerary to do with Disney!

Last year reservations for summer 2015 opened up on March 26.

There's not much chatter about possible itineraries, this year, it seems? I know about possible Norway and Iceland, then the Med, but previous years there seemed to be more port schedules leaked?

We took our 1st cruise this past January and a few weeks ago got something in the mail with an offer to book our next cruise before March 6th and get 10% off.

So my guess is the new summer dates will come after March 6th

Could be they are waiting as long as possible to see how the Panama Canal project is going. If they are thinking of possibly putting the Magic into Alaska and the Wonder on the Med cruises to keep the Wonder closer to the port for the reimagine in Sept 2016+ this might be a factor. Totally speculating though.

Def the Magic showing in Cittchivetcia (is that how you spell it? The one for Rome) in September 2016 but I guess they can change the ship name easily once they've booked the slot? I'm surprised more people haven't gone looking for the ships in different places. I only know about the Rome one as someone else spotted it and told me about it.

Magic is also showing for Rome 4 August. We are hoping for an early August, 12 night Med cruise. I have looked around at the different port schedules, and I haven't found anything.

I was sad a few months back and went through the dates. The Magic is showing in Rome for:
4th August
16th August
30th August
6th September
20th September

So if they are only in the Med Aug and Sept, do you think they will be in Norway/Baltics for both June and July, or maybe some other itineraries?

I know this is a little further out but I just looked at the Key West calendar and they are currently showing several cruises for the Wonder in November, December 2016, and January 2017, out of Galveston. It also shows the Magic stopping there sailing out of Miami during the same time. Of course, all subject to change. I just "googled" Key West cruise ship calendar and clicked on the printable copy. It may go on for years....

Also, when I did my onboard "dummy" booking last week on the Magic, they said new dates no later than the end of next month. I said "Gee Thanks"

I'm really hoping for a fantastic MED cruise. We are doing Greece with NCL in May so I would love a different MED itinerary to do with Disney!

I would give up my 2 week trip to the Four Seasons Maui for a med cruise!!!

I believe the Wonder has to have the reimagine by a certain time, anyone know? That might help pin things down.
