Spoerlx3 or Smitch what are the odds of anything being available in the moderates for the general release. I am really hoping for POR royal room but I keep reading about all the visa holders and I feel like there is no hope. Do you know in the past if they have all booked up before general release?

I can't even take it! I am shocked and thrilled that disney is doing something nice by releasing the discount out until the end of the year ! I can't even take it I'm so excited! We will be changing our days as our original day is not covered! That's ok though because I kinda knew that would happen and had a back up plan! I just hope we are able to get the resort and room type we like. I am feeling kind of anxious like I should book one online at 7am just in case my TA is stuck on the phone for hours and can't get the room I am hoping for. Am I being insane? We want preferred or river view so I'm hoping these go last! Ahhhhh I'm going crazy! Advice please!

I think (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) that it's a separate allotment of rooms. So I don't think the visa cardholders could take them all. Of course disney could get enough bookings and lower the amount of rooms allotted for the general public discount.

Someone above mentioned waiting for a pin code since their dates were not included. Can people receive pin codes in the mail even after booking a trip? Just curious

Curious too!!! Can you get pin codes for days that are not included?

Last year I booked at the same time as my friend. We were literally on the phone with a CM at the same minute. I got what I wanted and she had to take Riverside. The Royal rooms were still available 2 weeks later For the week we went. I did notice that the weeks before us had a lot of rooms with FD available but we had already purchased plane tickets. By the way--I did not book With the Disney Visa.

I am so excited! I really didn't think my sept 27th date was going to be included! This totally made my night! I saw in a previous post that a TA said she had been on hold for 3+ hours before. I know that TA's call in on a diff line than the rest of us. Does anyone remember from previous years how long they were on hold with the DV release? Just trying to decide if I should reschedule my first client on Thursday am

This is such great news!!! We're going Oct 31-Nov 8th and FD is the only way we would be able to afford to go.

What is up with December 12-23??? If FD is to fill rooms, why this super busy time? The 12th - 17/18th may be slightly slower but once the weekend hits it gets crazy!!!

We have used FD several times over the past few years and spent 14 nights each trip so stayed through the new year. It is supper busy but the resorts are not full. When the parks are at capacity it is because of off property guests. You will be amazed at how empty the resorts feel this time is the year. Now in sept during free dining the resorts and reaturants will feel packed but not the parks.

These Fall dates have worked out really badly for me. I check in Oct 17th for 13 nights. :-(

If I have to do a split stay, how early can you collect park tickets? I would need to collect them 8/9 days early. Would this be possible?

those dates are never included in the FD offer because of the holiday and won't be again this year,
Most of October is excluded this year, dates are:

August 31 - October 3
October 26 - November 1

Hi everyone! I've scoured the forums the past few weeks trying to find an answer to my question, but am no further ahead and with the FD deadline looming it was time to post. My DH and I are booked with MM promo at POR Sept 20-27. We are really hoping to try POFQ (better deal for our room choice) if it is included in FD, and if not we would stay at POR. We are in Canada so don't qualify for Disney Visa and must wait it out until the GP FD booking dates. I'm concerned that POFQ, if included, will be all booked up! Can/should I book a stay at POFQ for the same week, and then I just need to hope I can get FD added to that? They probably won't let me do this I realize, I just need someone to tell me that for sure
If not, we don't love the feel of the POR AB rooms, and to guarantee we don't get those we spend extra to get a Royal guest room. What are the chances that if I book a regular room I'll get to be in MB and not AB?

Yes. It was my first time back in 20yrs so I didn't even know what I could do. But the CM helped me out. Just ask a lot of questions. She actually suggested that. They are not all like that though so make sure you ask. Good luck!!!

When I stayed last year on a FD promo this is how it went. I was sitting at work one night and thought.... I want to go to Disney...I went to the web site and found some dates that I liked, saw free dining was a deal they had, picked it and booked our room. This was probably in late June or early July, we went November 2nd. No problems at all getting a room. Remember this is a deal used to fill rooms, so hopefully there is enough to go around! So excited to sit on hold on Thursday..

September 26 or 27 is the dates I am looking to arrive on too! I had kinda bad vibes that those dates would be excluded, so happy that (hopefully) they are in! Now come on Thursday
