<<<<<<<<< THIS friend is driving in from Nashville to see you!!!!! :cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Gus sounds like such a cool kid. So happy for Alli! :thumbsup2

I wish I could meet up with you again! I loved my last DisMeet!!! But I'm out of town all weekend and I just can't do that drive in one day.

Have lots and lots of fun!

Can't wait to see pictures

Well I guess turning the baby off was just like having a sitter for a couple hours :) Glad she liked it enough to do it again for "free".

Yay! I'm so glad so many of your awesome DISfriends will be meeting up with you guys. It will be so much fun. And as far as driving to/from Mo's.....can she meet you somewhere easier then you can follow her in? Maybe MDW? She says it is easy to get there. I don't know....just an idea. I would be a nervous wreck too. I am NOT a city girl. I get nervous when there are two lanes and buildings on both sides!

Well, I would love to drive up to Knoxville for lunch, but I only get 1/2 hour for lunch :lmao:

I think your road trip sounds like fun, especially if someone else is doing the driving!!

Love the new bag! I'm sure that was a lot of fun to design and make!

I'm glad you all got good check-ups at the Doctor! I'm due for my eye exam, thanks for the reminder :goodvibes

I'm getting a surprise together for your dad's birthday, loved the quilt and blanket in the picture. He looks very happy!

Gus sounds like a funny guy. Sounds like you all had a nice time last night.

He is quite humorous. We enjoy having him around. :thumbsup2

I guess I missed the part where you got someone to take your shift. It's what I get for reading through fast! Glad it's a go and that's awesome about the mega dis meet!!!

Well, I didn't exactly get permission... I put my shift up on the board, and no one took it, so I talked to my HR person, and flat out told her that I wouldn't be there. She offered to help me look for someone, but told me I would have to call in if she couldn't. Which will kind of look "bad", but I don't know if I will ever get this opportunity again, so I feel like the consequences are worth it.

To answer your question, Jen is just doing ibuprofen and is back to nursing as of this morning. The ibuprofen takes care of the pain. But, she has flu symptoms today and is in bed. Poor thing. Running to the bathroom is not easy with a full cast on.

I am very glad to hear that she is improving and able to tolerate the pain on just ibuprofen. That is a good sign... I sure hope she is feeling better soon though - I cannot imagine how hard that must be for her.

I'm so glad your trip is on and is shaping up to be Epic! Have fun? at Target.

Thanks! I am very excited - but a bit nervous to drive through Chicago... But he rest of it - I cannot wait!!!

ETA: Oh, and I LOVE what Gus did on the fridge. Great sense of humor. I think you've got a winner there!

Hahaha... Yah - he is pretty comical. I hope he continues to come around - we all enjoy having him here.

So glad the road trip and DIS meets are a go!

I know - I am so excited!

Next time I hit the Disney outlet, I will take some pictures of the women's T-shirt selection, in case you (or anyone else) wants me to pick some up.

That would be awesome! Thanks!

I seem to always remember the clothes I've "outgrown" as being a lot better than they actually turn out to be when I dig them out again.

Hahaha... Totally!

Seems like Gus is a good kid. My high school sweetheart fit in very well with my family, and I did with his. I think our mom's were pretty disappointed when we broke up. His mom and I are Facebook friends.

It seems that way... We'll see how it goes... Allison has yet to meet his family, I am not sure when that will happen?

When you have time, will you share the steps that go into making your bags? I know zero about quilting, appliqueing, and sewing but when you mention what you've accomplished, I'd love to have a better idea of what that means and where you are in the process.

Sure... I always wash and dry my fabric first. Then usually on day 1, I cut and quilt the fabric. On day 2, I usually draw/cut/piece/stitch the applique. On day 3, I do all of my pre assembly and final assembly. On day 4, that is when I work on any accessories. :thumbsup2 However, if the applique is huge, I usually have to spread day 2 into 2 days, and omit day 4.

Update on Charlotte and the bottle and sleeping - I don't think she asked for a bottle at all yesterday. I tried to put her down in her crib last night, but she wasn't having it. I'm starting to wonder if she doesn't want to be alone or if she doesn't want to sleep in her crib? I was convinced she wasn't ready for a big girl bed, but now I'm not so sure. She and I ended up in the spare bedroom last night and slept soundly until she fell out of bed! She went right back to sleep after some cuddles, no harm done.

Glad to hear she is doing better with out her bottle. It may be time for a big girl bed for her? I know my girls slept better in one. But my girls were climbers - so I slept better too, knowing they wouldn't climb out. Glad she wasn't hurt when she fell out.

Enjoy your day! Mine needs to consist of working and not being distracted by Disney planning!

Thank you! I hope you had a great day too!

It's totally OK Jennifer... I just wanted to "put it out there", just in case there was someone I wasn't aware of who lived close enough to want to do the drive... Don't want anyone to feel excluded - ya know. :lovestruc

Well I guess turning the baby off was just like having a sitter for a couple hours Glad she liked it enough to do it again for "free".

Yah - that's a good way to put it. LOL

Not sure... I am super nervous about this though.

Well, I would love to drive up to Knoxville for lunch, but I only get 1/2 hour for lunch

Hahaha... Yah - that might not work out so well. LOL

I think your road trip sounds like fun, especially if someone else is doing the driving!!

Yah - Josh is driving on the way down. It's been years since I've driven a manual transmission, and I really don't feel like "practicing" ona brand new car. LOL

Love the new bag! I'm sure that was a lot of fun to design and make!

Thanks - it was fun! ;)

I'm glad you all got good check-ups at the Doctor! I'm due for my eye exam, thanks for the reminder

Thanks - anytime. LOL

I hate to say that I've gotta run - but I do. It's a crazy day today, and I need to move fast.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Sending out prayers and pixie dust to all who need them! :wizard:

I am far behind i didn't read everything but the bag is a knock out.. I REALLY love that one... REALLY LOVE IT...

OMG. Chicago is not that bad... Gary indiana? i'll take ya through there!!!

We have TONS of BIG buildings. i will be sending you directions form the toll i told you to take soon.. I am really behind on things today.. :duck:

But i do LOVE YOU!!!

I promise to hop on the PTR too.. i just need some free time...

I'm not sure how I got so far behind but I'm glad you caught up with me to let me know about your trip to Knoxville. I am bummed I won't be able to make it but I know you and Josh will have a great trip. How fun.

Glad V had good results from her blood work. I guess you couldn't get the doctor to write you a prescription for a trip to FL to get some sun and Vitamin D?

Alli's baby homework sounds interesting. Glad she made it through and wants to take the "baby" home again.

I love the Mad Hatter bag, so fun and colorful.

79 days and counting!!!!!
Suzi, I saw you post about a trip with your Grandmother on Mo's PTR and I see your signature but we need some details. :)

Glad Charlotte is moving on from the bottle. I hope you can get the sleeping thing figured out soon. :goodvibes

Lois - can't wait for your post-fabric store visit update. That will be a good little break for you. Glad to Jennifer is dealing well with the pain.

I am only 20 pages in, but had to start getting ready for for so I wanted to post a quick "Hi" so I don't lose this report ;)

D, I am simply TOO far behind everywhere to comment on a lot.

I think Gus is a hoot (love the Scrabble tiles he left for you).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mad Hatter bag.

I hope you have a great trip to Knoxville...sounds like it's turning out to be quite the DIS meet.

Your trip to Chicago is coming quickly too (but I'm still sad I won't be here).

Wish I could run up to Knoxville Monday, but work is quiet strenuous at the moment. We're getting ready for Spring break and it's CRAZY.

I'm making a doll for my mom's birthday - cloth art doll type of an angel. If I can ever get the dern fingers turned. :furious:

So, did I read right - you churn out one of your bags in 4-5 days? I shouldn't be surprised. If I didn't get distracted by shiny things and other projects in the middle of my stuff I could probably get a bag made in 4 days too. Instead of 4 weeks. :rotfl2:

Have Fun All and well wished for those that need them.

I am so bummed that you can't make it Liz - but I truly understand. I know it's short notice and I know it's a week day. :grouphug:

I wish... :beach:

I am excited to hear about this, as well.

Welcome! Very happy to have you here! Love your siggy - very cute! Please don't feel like you have to read everything... A lot of it is just my morning replies, most of the important stuff is on the first page. :thumbsup2

D, I am simply TOO far behind everywhere to comment on a lot.

Absolutely OK - you know that. I've fallen miserably behind (as I often do) on the TRs I'm following... I need to take the time to catch up over there, maybe while we are driving this weekend?

I think Gus is a hoot (love the Scrabble tiles he left for you).

He is too funny! We really like having him around, he is quite entertaining. :thumbsup2

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Mad Hatter bag.

Thanks! It was a fun one to make.

I hope you have a great trip to Knoxville...sounds like it's turning out to be quite the DIS meet.

Thanks - I am excited to meet my Dis friends - both old and not-so-new... :thumbsup2

Your trip to Chicago is coming quickly too (but I'm still sad I won't be here).

I know... I NEED to buy airfare... :scared:

Yup... Actually, the bags are 3 days (8 hour days) and accessories are on the 4th day. But I adhere to a really strict schedule and I have to bribe myself with certain benchmarks at every step. Like - I don't allow myself to eat lunch until my bag is ready to quilt every monday... Otherwise I would never get anything done. LOL I am such a procrastinator. :rolleyes1

Have Fun All and well wished for those that need them.

Thank you Ruth - same to you. I hope everything is going well for you otherwise. :lovestruc

**********************************************************

And this week has officially gotten away from me... :rolleyes1

My day yesterday was sooooo crazy...

So, I worked out in the morning... Started some laundry so I can pack...

I left to get V from school at about 9:30... Picked up BFF on the way... Drove 35 miles to the mall for V's eye appt. Yup - she needs glasses - as we suspected... :crazy2: The people at the eye ball place in the mall were less than friendly, so I decided to look elsewhere for V's glasses.

While at the mall, I did an exchange of some shorts I had purchased last fall, now that they fit - I don't like how they fit, so I exchanged them for some capris... I was hoping to bring them with on our road trip - but I am afraid they are still a hair too tight. :confused3 I'll try them on again today and decide.

Anyways... We headed back the way we came... Stopped at the eye place that Josh and I always go to... I was quite annoyed, because we were there for a good 30 minutes looking at glasses and not one person came to offer us help. :headache: Which is unusual for this eye Dr. office. So, we left. Not giving them our $$ if they can't help us.

Dropped BFF off.

Had lunch at Chipotle... Ordered something I've never had before, very carefully, because Chipotle tends to make my stomach act up. I was OK this time though - thankfully.

Then, we went next door to look at their glasses. No deals to be had, but V did find a pair she liked.

Picked up Alli at school for her dermatologist appt. 25 miles in the opposite direction.

Stopped at another eye place... They were having a BOGO offer... So, yup - V found 2 cute pairs of glasses, I was able to get them ordered, they will be in after we get back from TN. Perfect. Glad that's done - it only took all day. Glasses are SOOOO expensive!

Then went to Alli's appt... That went well, she did receive her injections for her psoriasis, she is hoping it will clear up a bit better for summer. :thumbsup2

Then we came back to town, stopped at Target to kill some time. Josh met us there. We went for dinner - we had pizza... I ate all the toppings, since I can't have the crust... But the family was more than happy to clean up my pizza carcasses. :rolleyes1

Aftewards, Alli had a meeting at school. The honors students are able to take a trip to Italy in 2015... Of course, Alli wants to go. Josh and I are going to talk about it while we have ample time on our drive. We'll see - it looks like a good trip, but YIKES... expensive. LOL

Today...

I need to hop in the shower...

Josh and I have to drive up to the north suburbs to pick up the Bug. He will take that to work today, and we will pack it tonight/tomorrow morning.

I am stopping on my way home to grocery shop for the week. I need to get easy stuff for the girls to make while BFF is staying here. And I also need to get stuff to pack in my cooler... No fast food/processed food for me on this trip... Of course, I will do the very best I can... But I plan to have a few things that I shouldn't too. :thumbsup2

Then, I must lift today too.

And work on my bag applique.

I still need to pack. Haven't even started that process.

Gus is coming to take Alli to the restaurant down the street for dinner tonight before we leave.

Not a clue what we are having for dinner? :confused3

We plan to be on the road at 8am tomorrow morning. Bff will be here shortly after to stay with the girls while we are gone, so that is a relief to me - I was so happy she was able to rearrange her schedule to help us out. :thumbsup2

OK - must run everyone. Not sure if I will get to update in the morning before we leave. But please know I am thinking of all of you and wishing you well while I am gone.

I will try to update from the road when I can. And, of course, post Dismeet pictures. :grouphug:

D~

Hey D,

Have a great time on your road trip. I'm bummed that I won't be able to meet you. I think every time we have a vacation planned, the teachers that my kids have plan tests and projects that are due before we leave! Have fun eating the things that you usually don't!! If you get the chance, try Garrett's popcorn while you are in town. My hubby surprises me on rare occasions and brings it home from his commute from the city. Seriously the best popcorn ever! Wishing you safe travels!! I am putting V's patterns in the mail today.

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

D is coming TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! and with JOSH!!! I am overly excited!!!!!

no pictures of my house.. LOL!!!

D, safe travels and have wonderful DIS meets. I'm sorry Mark is in Vegas and I made other plans BEFORE I knew you were going to be here having dinner with Mo and her hubby. :(

::yes:: Yep i asked if She would like to come by for Pizza and beer.. this woman is busier then i am!!!! :rotfl:

Glasses are so expensive!!!! I know that I need a new presciption but I have been putting my appointment off because I don't want to shell out the money for glasses.

You have quite a to-do list today! I do too - last work day before vacation! :cool1: I'm sure I will be MIA next week, unless I get some DIS time in when Charlotte is napping.

I hope the road trip goes well and you have safe travels. Enjoy the time with Josh and your DIS meets. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Bon Voyage!

I am so excited to see you on Monday! Just got done printing out the directions and maps so I'm ready to go. Yeah, I'm not anxious or anything. :rotfl:

"Eye ball place" :rotfl2: :lmao: Not sure why but that struck me as very funny and made me LOL.

I totally feel the pain on the glasses thing. I only wear mine in the mornings and right before bed as I do contacts most of the time. But the pair I have is going on 5 or 6 years old now and are in pretty bad shape. I'm afraid I may have to break down and get a new pair when I go for my yearly exam at the end of this month. I know they are necessary but that's a few less Pluto items I can buy next time I go to WDW. ::yes::

Sounds like you have more than enough to do yesterday and today. How irritating that you had to spend all day looking for glasses. How great that you finally found some.

Have a great road trip :)
