***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

Wow- 13 days- yipee! You'll have to let us live vicariously through you and let us all know the details!

I'm way behind on my scrapbooking, so I told myself I had to get the summer vacation album done and get caught up on the regular one through Christmas before I am allowed to start on the Disney trip scrapbook. That will keep me going for a while.
The boys went camping this weekend so I started showing DH pictures of Wilderness Lodge and getting him in the "thinking about planning" mood for next year. If I don't overwhelm him too much and spread it out he's much more receptive.;)

Camping brrrrrrr. Ok then again you didn't get 6 inches of snow yesterday. LOL

Well I don't know how much details there will be to give but I will update you when I get back. Right now I've not had luck with using my phone to read never mind post to here.

The two things I have never done when in MK are Tom Sawyer Island and believe it or not the carousel. So those are my MK priorities.
Then at Epcot I have FP+ for Sourin of course but other than eating fish and chips at the QS at Rose and Crown, no other big plans. I'm taking it one day and one step at a time. I just want to relax as much as I can. Seems most of my days lately have one rush to and then another.
Yesterday I slept alot and today I didn't rush out of bed or do much. Didn't feel 100% so that didn't help. Hoping I'm on the upswing but just incase something is brewing, I started my doses of Emergen-C tonight.

I"m so behind on scrapbooking/organizing/bins of crafts that if I didn't do my Disney photo book I would never do it. I had a 50% off so I got it done.
I'm hoping after this next trip I will have a bunch of pictures of interesting people. I hope to talk to some CMs and ask about them and where they come from and create a book of that. We'll see.
Like I said one step at a time.
I"m just happy to be able to challenge myself and not have to worry about pleasing anyone else.

Thanks for living through me.
wishing you all the same chance in the future.

That sounds like a great thread idea. :lmao:

I would love all this that you mentioned by my son would be tagging along and well he doesn't like this stuff. He actually just prefers to stay home. Makes me want more vacation.
We'll have to see what summer brings. My inlaws have a cottage up in York Maine so that might be all I get out of DH and DS this summer. I'll have to wait and see.

13 days to go.
Ok so today I'm nervous because yesterday my back went into spasm big time. All I could do was lay in bed. I did get a lot of sleep.
Thankfully today I'm better. I have to get serious in looking at when these spasms happen. I don't want to admit it potentially is diet related. sigh.
I allowed myself to eat something yesterday that I might have an intolerance to. Ok probably have an intolerance to.

I get so mad at myself.

Oh no, no back problems before your trip! its not allowed! I've never heard of intolerances causing spasms. Ugh.
Yes, we do have to keep our boys happy. LOL My son LOVES the beach. Anything with water really, so we mainly do that and the poo at the shore anyway. It is just nice to have to have the option to sneak in the nice dinners and Victorian stuff though. ; )
As far as the poconos/Lancaster, maybe you could find a nice house on a lake to rent or something? Would he like that?
How many days do you have now? I hope you are able send us updates

My guy used to love water, but something along the way has him refusing to even put on shorts, never mind the bathing suit. sigh.

Ticker says 12 days now. I think the temps outside are 12. sigh.
This is a really busy week for me so this weekend I'm going to be happy to pack things up. LOL I leave on an early flight Feb 2nd. DH will be home on Saturday so I'll have time to run errands and get packed the day before if I feel I need to do more. But right now I'm keeping it simple so I think it will all be great.

I've stayed at POFQ before but not Riverside. I requested Magnolia bend. I hope I get in a nice location easy for me to get to things. I don't mind walking a little but dont want to be too isolated either. I can't wait to explore the resort. Having just gone in November has me feeling less guilty that I don't have to do a lot in the parks. At least not a lot of what I already did.
I was going to try to get a fP+ for BOG but decided that I rather go to Crystal palace for brunch and I have a couple other places I have never tried so I want to get those in too. It's about trying new things for me. And embracing some of my favorites.

I'll be anxious to update you all.
:grouphug:

Did anyone have luck getting any Vera Bradley items on their trip? They didn't have the wallet I wanted, and now I'm wanting a bag. The Disney Store has had "Be sure to check back soon, Styles are on the way" in the banner for a few days. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm praying about taking Ethan to Star Wars Weekends. I know if Dillon were here, we'd be planning right now.

I don't know. I DO know he's been drawing pictures of ALL of us at Disney smiling & with tears in our eyes "because we are happy!"

Does anyone know if there is an official thread for Animal kingdom lodge and villas

I find I struggle with wanting to do the old favorites versus trying new things.

I think my biggest struggle is to do what I want and not worry about proving to people with pictures that I had a good time. And not worrying about the cost and making sure I "get my money's worth". I've worked really hard in life and I have to give myself permission to do what I call relaxing and fun.
I truly do hope to be able to balance the new with the other things I love.
I can't believe a week from now I'll be at MK.

It truly will be very strange for me but I'm happy to take the time.
Wishing you all the chance to make your dreams come true too.

Me too! I really like planning, but mainly to make sure I get everyone's favorites and must-do's along with some new or different experiences. Although during a trip those may change, so we do try to just let things happen as we go.

Rejoyce, it will probably be easier for you on a solo trip becasue you really will be able to "live in the moment" and go with the flow. I love your idea about meeting new people and getting pictures and doing a little journal with it. What's cool is that your interactions with them will probably be something special they take away from their trip too!

Thanks Sydney.
Oh at the moment I'm looking forward to the quiet of not needing to explain myself to anyone and not advocate for my son.
I have an almost 22 year old(59 days) with Autism that is falling into a sink hole in Adult service world. And as much as people think they are helping me by telling me what I should do, 99.9% of the time it's a door I've knocked on and had slammed shut in my face and so knocking again is only reopening wounds. I appreciate their attempt to support me but I'm tired of repeating myself and just need a nice quiet break.

Thanks for listening and I have often chosen not to share here because there is so many details that I don't share and well this is the internet. Thanks for respecting my share and would appreciate you all just keep sending me some good vibes. :goodvibes

Can't wait to report back about my wonderful vacation.
I've started taking Emergen-C to ward off the sniffles and such.

 5 days and a SLEEP to go.

Unfortunately, every new thing we try becomes a new favorite! There just isn't enough time or meals to keep doing it all.

Yea, after multiple trips we find the same problem! You may find as your kids get older there are some things they don't want to do anymore (for the first time ever my boys didn't want to ride the carousel- I was a little teary-eyed;)) but other things become their favorites like the coasters, or in your family's case the guys may want to do some things while the girls do others. That's why we have to keep planning trips I guess!

You know I'll always be here to listen.
You SO deserve this vacation and you need to do whatever YOU want to enjoy it. Don't worry about what everyone else expects you to do to have fun.
I promise I will be excited for you no matter how boring the pictures you choose to share are to me. :rotfl2: ;) You know, since pictures of random animals that others may consider pests is an exciting picture in my house. :confused3
I hope everything has worked out as you hoped for your son, and you can relax and not think about that while you are away, at least for the few days you are there.
I can't believe you'll be there so soon! Yay!

Walt Disney world personal shopper on Facebook is displaying those bags on her page. They are the best to buy from they don't mark up prices and gouge people and are wonderful human beings. They like to shop for people that forgot things. She's got the bags on her Facebook page right, now if,it helps you

Hey your ticker has a vacation count going. Did you talk DH into going again or are you just wishful thinking?

Thanks for the support. I know you get it and appreciate that you reached out. It's not going smooth at all. A lot of people pointing fingers at other people and then other speaking like they know the information only to find out they are WRONG. I'm doing what I can for my son, and leaning on some faith.
I've lined up a couple things and will go from there.

My son got out of school early today. I could tell he is dragging so I suggested he go lay down for a bit. Since I have a head cold, I rather him rest and fingers crossed he won't get this.

Oh my gosh. I started writing this well over and hour ago and never sent it.

Thanks again and I"ll be in touch.
Thanks for the good vibes! :goodvibes

Oh dang wish I would have known about this earlier! And it could be even more dangerous than Disney merchandising. They were even willing to get the runDisney shoes!!! Super darn it!

HI All!
I'm back. I had an amazing 4 days vacation.
Reports from others was that the whole month before was cold and rainy. I arrive to 85 degree weather. Then they hit record temps for a few days, and I left on the "back to cold" days of low 70s with winds seeing people in jackets during the overcast of the day. I couldn't have had a better weather 4 days.

Loved POR. The buses were rather crowded compared to my previous visits.

The parks were nice crowd levels other than Tuesday when it hit 89 and I felt extra crowded with 20-40 minute waits at MK. I heard Monday was worse with the Seahawks parade. Wednesday the waits were like 10 minutes other than the super poplular rides that were more the 30=40 minutes but those probably were the best for FP+.

the day I arrived I got an invite to go to BOG for lunch on FP+.
No way would I have wanted to stay in line for that lunch but the FP+ made it worth going.

I loved Tom Sawyer Island and definite think if you have an explorer kiddo, you have to go over there. The attention to detail through the parks just blew me away. I wasn't chasing after anyone so I could really appreciate the details that I never noticed before.

At Crystal Palace the characters were pretty interactive. At least before their "break" and I think I know why "CaraBellas" son loved Tigger.
The best picture was Piglet photo bombing my photo with Pooh. It was so funny.

I even talked myself into the Prince Charming Carousel. giggles. So glad I did it. I met a couple that was celebrating 50 years of marriage and when the gentleman got off the ride he announced. "That was fun". I had to giggle.

I'm sad I don't have a plan as to when I will return, but I am quite sure I will.
And if I have to, I won't hesitate to do it again solo.

Oh and my MB experience was great like the last trip. So nice to walk into the parks bagless and not be fishing through my pockets for things.

Just thought I would report in.
Wishing you all a happy next vacation.

Peace!
